It's possible but when could they? Ness' Nightmare/the Mani Mani Statue was the only enemy that possessed the ability to distort reality shown in-game, Giygas can't himself because he has no control over his own actions... unless it was some coincidence. And did the Mani Mani really work for Giygas, or was it a smaller, separate entity?

It's like some other role-playing games. You have one character, and then in the next game, you have another character. This is one of the reasons why I'm not a huge fan of RPGs. At least make it like Castlevania where you have a lineage, or something to where the protagonist knows of the other character from the previous game.

Oh, and Lucas fails. With Ninten, you had an idea of where the name came from. "Nintendo." Then you have Ness, who, if you abbreviated Nintendo Entertainment System, would end up being "NES," which sounds like "Ness." Or, if you want to get real technical, with the "S" in SNES, you would get "NESS." But Lucas? Nothing.

Dryn, each story is loosely based off the other for the player to think about what occurred. There are tiny pieces everywhere from each game that pull you to a conclusion to how the games are connected.

Besides, in each game there is a factor that pulls them together.

Also Lucas and Claus were named after 2 brothers in a famous book. I can't recall that book's name right now however...

It was a trilogy, with the first book called the Notebook. The author was agatha kristoff or something. I read a couple of pages from the Notebook, it's a really dark book.

The thing is, Ninten and Ness had diffrent spellings in its Japenese from. Futhermore, it was Famicom and Super Famicom so there were no anagrams.

As for a Mother 4, I dont think its happening. Shigesato Itoi is 60 years old and is very busy. He flat out said no when asked about a forth game or any other game.

The story is finished. As for connections between the first two games, it would be nice if there was more, but oh well. There is no more room for a sequel unless a whole new story with no connections begin.

Ninten was a cool guy. He had more actual dialogue than Ness (as in actually spoken himself, not his mind speaking to him, his thoughts being projeced on a wall, or a little "I Miss You" in the credits). At the end, Ninten proves to be more of the average American boy you'd expect him to be by saying he'd take a nap after saving the world. I mean, who wouldnt?

Ana seems just as good as Paula to me. Paula seems a little more mature, but Ana is more direct with her emotions.

Loid had lots of character. He's the common nerd who has extremely low self esteem and even looks down upon himself. Even his father is somewhat ashamed of him, but in the end, he's greeted with a heroes welcome and befriended by all.

Teddy had MUCH more dialougue than Poo thus more character (but they're both awesome). Cumon, a big, bad, tough, rough, gang leader on your team? Awesomeness (though a spritual and serious martial artist is equally cool).

Back to the Ninten Bee body thing, time travel doesnt kill you, it just messes with your body. I felt that Ninten wouldn't mind screwing up a little Bees body. Much better than his own.

Lucas wasn't given PSI, it was mearly unlocked for him...remember the people of that Island had their memories wiped clean...I'm thinking that could have had an effect on the kids there (plus Rockin/Love is just very taxing for PSI for how strong it is canon wise...it gets proven with Claus vs. the Draco)

Just because doesn't learn PK Starstorm, PK Fire, and PK Thunder in game doesn't mean he couldn't...after all he is by far stronger in PK energy and Telepathic powers then both Paula and Poo are...

Really I feel the main reason why Ness doesn't learn those skills is to keep the game balanced somewhat I mean, really...think of how easy the last part of the game would be if Ness learned Starstorm Omega and Rockin Omega was the same way it was for the story? As in rockin was like Giygas' rockin (when he is unleashed but unstable, not when his power is contained, and held back)

Plus part of me thinking Ness and Lucas are in these games anyway is because Sakurai is friends with Itoi...
