brawl's metagame is generally played more defensively
whereas melee has the capacity to go either way

brawl is also very new, one must realize this

Here's a link to a decent Brawl match, I thought.

It's a tournament match complete with commentary, thankfully. This match shows just haw far a player can think, five steps or more ahead. As you can see, the winner was rather aggressive getting up in the dude's face risking the loss, but it turned out to be the best option.

i dont get where the 2d fighting hate comes into play? i have never been made fun of or mocked by any other fighter for playing brawl. At all the MLGs halo and tekken players would come over and get hype as **** watching brawl. im seriously in the dark about this whole hatred towards our community :/

So maybe the melee players talked **** to street fighter and other fighting game communities.

and then melee tried to fight back.

but the majority of fighting games were like "nah ur game is a kids game."

and so we were shunned.

it is now brawls turn to get back the rep that melee has soiled.

and thanks to espy at dallas( if anyone knows what happened with the crowds besides brawl) the rep is coming back.

and yes yay, im still talkin ****!

Planking in either game is powerful. Offense can be rewarding in Brawl.

Being somewhere between top 5 and 10 isn't really something special, we only have Ice and kJaB who can compete on international level.

No Kieth. Melee isn't a traditional fighter so they have plenty of reasons not to like the game whether we provoked it or not.
