but i mean, yeah, i'm down. the main issue is just scheduling. EVERYONE is down to do crews, the only issue is that TOs need to say we're doing it, and then we do it.

maybe you're suggesting like an every tournament kind of thing? i mean, i'm also down for that.


when i start running my tournaments, there will DEFINITELY be at least squads and/or crews.

We need more(read: some) Melee-only events to ensure we have time to get things like that done.

I personally feel that you shouldn't be allowed on multiple crews, but that's just me. I don't know what the general feeling about it is.

EDIT:: the issue with it is say on the ladder you have The UN ranked 5th, and Mesopotamia ranked 6th. it would be impossible for Mesopotamia to advance upwards because they wouldn't be able to have the number of people required to face The UN.

Being on multiple crews is ******** LOL pick a group and stick with it. Kinda like turning your back on people otherwise and then rankings can't really be done either.

squads, i.e. 3v3, will have crew-type objectives/rules, but will be held in tournament style... so there's bracket, double elimination, like in singles.... but to win a single set you have to win with the rules of crews (you know, that whole stock count of the winner carrying over to the next match kinda ****)



i'm cool with the word "clans" as well.... i just want a different term than crews because this is not the same as crews.... it's a ****ing tournament.

squads is a pretty beast name actually imo and it fits in with teams singles and crews as far as terms go... but as far as being in more than one... we should just have one squad per ranking season.. just picture if this actually takes off and have national squad tournies... it would be beast. we should mess around with ideas for the ruleset tho so it isn't just a crew battle knock off

i mean, i thought rankings for squads was pushing it... that's why i wanted the flexibility of being on more than one squad.... there should be a limit though, but when the limit is just one squad, there's a problem with people not being able to make the same events and all that jazz... it's just not flexible enough to work, imo.

and yeah, sneak, i completely agree... i was picturing the same thing, if this caught on as a national event that would be so ****ing exciting... soooooo much hype

but you know someone like mew2king will ask like... pp and armada to be on his squad, or hbox or some ****... but i feel like most players (or at least, the cool ones) will want to go with who's from their region. but yeah, if that region is pretty empty, you could have some interesting squads. i'm not too worried about broken squads though, i feel like it will balance out pretty well...

allowing more that 3 on a squad would solve the ladder issue with being on more than one team, but I agree with what kevin said earlier of "pick a group and stick with it".

Maybe if all 3 people can't attend for a few tournies in a row they get dropped from the ladder? squads should be able to change up imo, but as soon as you switch up squads you should forfeit your previous ranking. Like if I team with ocean and smith and we're ranked 3rd on the ladder, and they want to team with someone else bc I can't attend, we lost that 3rd seed. idk

both points are pretty good... but honestly speaking.. the smartest thing to do would most likely just not having squad rankings and have squad matches just count toward individual rankings

The "I'm/We're way better than that ****er above us, now it's time to prove it" factor will be even stronger than it is with normal PR's

Sneak: I think there should be some sort of ladder, not like traditional PR's but something that just reminds ppl of what happened last time that motivates ppl to practice/gather teammates... i don't have it all figured out but i really think this **** would be fun

if The UN beats teams that Mesopotamia can't beat, then it should be ranked higher.... Mesopotamia can be ranked better after the next period if they beat someone who the UN didn't beat.... obv there's still an issue with this, it could come down to a 50:50 between both... and yeah there we have an issue...

but...obv... this is all assuming that there will be rankings... if there is a serious issue in the relationship between squad power rankings and allowing people to be on multiple squads, then we need to decide what's more important.


i'm gonna go with being on multiple squads...

performance in the 3v3 ladder shouldn't matter in the official NC PR's imo, SOLELY because there is enough gray area/enough bs for the panel to figure out as it is (shouldn't there be a 3rd panel member btw?).

This **** will be really fun if we can figure out some official rules that aren't bogus.

Why is there such a strict attendance deal? Do you honestly think that we'll even have that many tournaments for this to happen at as it is?

Come to think of it, maybe it would be easier to go to more tourneys with capabilities for squads because they wouldn't come up that often. XD

Some attendance should be mandatory obviously, but let's not get carried away with it is all I ask.

I don't follow at all LOL I've never been exposed to rankings outside of PRs so I'll need to be filled in on whatever system we end up doing I suppose. XD

You really don't see the issue with one squad you might be on wanting to prove dominance over the other by directly challenging them, but can't because you'd be on both?

I don't understand why it's so hard to just stick to one squad anyway. That just seems so much more legit and official.

Kev this should be more FUN/bragging rights oriented than official this official that. Who cares if someone drops in rankings? You say I'M being strict on attendance? Quite the opposite. Obviously the same teams won't be able to battle every tourney so why make make it mandatory that the same exact team be there to have a battle? Doesn't make sense. If a team can achieve success while attending several tourneys in a row, props. But that won't happen very often.
