I was actually waiting for either AIM to work or for you to get on the xat.

[collapse=Chapter 2 Thoughts]This caught me completely off guard. The first chapter had nothing to do with this, or so I've gathered. I really like Scarlet. Can't say I like the love interest with Locks, but it's too early to really have an opinion on them. Amethyst is such a goofball name so I'll call her Amy. I felt as though you spent too long explaining her duties as they didn't really have any impact on the rest of the story thus far. Jessica's a really cool "villain" as I'll refer to her for now. Conroy's character is great, I love the mystery behind him being the detective. Steele's definitely cool, I like the tension between him and Locks.

As a whole, it was very well written. Great imagery, no real complaints there. Awesome cliffhanger to end it on too, I'm looking forward to the next chapter. I just had a few minor gripes as you read above.[/collapse]

Yeah you mentioned it a few times, but in my mind that is her real name haha.

No problem. I'm looking forward to it, you would be the third SWF author on EqD if I'm not mistaken.

I was just thinking where the **** did this come from? I would assume that Slate has some relation to Scarlet in a later chapter.
