Went to a Family Dollar today after dinner with the parental. Saw some ponies. Only Twilight, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie were available, with recolors of Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Twilight, and Applejack available.

Slightly disappony, but I now have incentive to check the nearest Wal Mart nearby to an Applejack to add to my humble collection.

Oh, and the parental's reaction when I told her why I was looking for one was funny.
I shall report later with my results of this excursion.

Exactly what Tofer said. Those who go the path of Cupcakes in my opinion are pretty much extremists that push boundaries and definitely are not what I consider "hardcore" bronies (which I associated to the indiscriminately collection of Friendship is Magic collectibles).
