I hate when people make Derpy out to be physically challenged, instead of just really clumsy.

That's what I think as well. A clumsy pony should deserve more respect than anything else.
Calling her multiple things about her and saying that her cutie mark is cancerous is not really necessary.

What I love about her is that her eyes aren't just cross-eyed, but has a very unique eye color.
Throughout its fanon about her, delivering mail, stopping by carrot top's house, and having an adventure with Doctor Whooves just influenced me to lover her more.

There is no doubt that she is the best part of mlp. And that she'll always be remembered.

Clumsiness was canon. Eyes was a graphical technicality which remained canon as fan service. And then even more fan service became canon. Not that I'm siding anywhere, but that's the way I saw Derpy "Ditzy Doo" Hooves (I can no longer use Ditzy "Derpy Hooves" Doo due to canon) became in the show.

Edit: I'm reading these on EqD, but I don't really get this "backlash" stuff fans have with both Luna and Derpy. Is it jsut being overzealous about their fanon?
