I made this for my video:

If you like my videos, please subscribe ;)

So I thought, why not post my guide here. First download this:

http://www.mediafire.com/?zyjf25ehnz1

Extract it and follow these instructions.

1: Go into the CSS Organizer folder and open "CSS Organizer.exe"
2: Move around the character tiles to your liking. This is self explanatory.
3: When you're done, click "file" then "save as" and choose a folder to save your "sc_selcharacter.pac" file to.
4: Now go into the "SmashBox" folder and open "SmashBox.exe"
5: In smash box, open up your "sc_selcharacter.pac" file.
6: On the right of the program, you'll notice text that says "ARC File Entry", under that change the box that says "False" to "True"
7: Now goto "File" then "Save"
8: Now you have your pac file, make sure the name of the file is "sc_selcharacter.pac", if not, rename it.
9: In your SD card, put the "sc_selcharacter.pac" file into the "X:\private\wii\APP\RSBE\pf\menu2" folder.
10: Take the "RSBE01.gct" (it's phantom wings file replacer 2.1a and the CSS fixer code) file from this kit and put it in your sd card into the folder "X:\codes".
11: Load brawl through gecko os and your CSS will be up and running.

I also included the instructions in a txt file in the download. Credit goes to Kryal and phantomwings.

last i checked you arent supposed to change false to true, save as a pcs and then change the file extension to .pac
also, file patch v3.5.1 >> file replacement v2.1

(and Kryal is the creator of SmashBox)

EDIT: ok yeah, i tried doing false to true and saving as pac, and my game froze...

I don't know what that whole renaming file extensions thing is that you're talking about, but I've compressed mine by changing false to true and saving as a pac and it worked fine.

Did you use the code that came with the program?

I'm using the CSS fix code, and I'm still not able to get a CSP to work on the bottom of the screen (or a player box on the top of the screen). I also have the Balanced Brawl Genesis codeset active, so I'm not sure if that's affecting it.

Is it really a big deal if you use File Replacement v2.1a over File Patch Code v3.5.1? If you're not doing music hacks, you're better off with v2.1a since it uses only 34 lines of code.

Hey, umm how about ZSS/Wild Pkmn/Shiek ?
Oh, and I guess that the extras won't actually fit all of it in without reducing the size of the Small Portraits

it seems that the CSS's made by the organizer conflict with a lot of other codes. is there any way around that? and codes like Almas's clone generator. i had a CSS with indy pokes and sheik which i believe caused my CSPs to stop working. i orginally had them working with putting the common5 in the sc_selcharacter.pac but i didnt have the indy pokes and sheik/ZSS. is there a fix for this?

My CSS is the best. (also I have no problems with it) Not too brag or anything, but mine looks the coolest. Also, that pesky line down the middle of the screen when every1s ready? I have space there. Oh yeah. Its a blank line. Divides the fail characters from the feasible to top tier characters. Yes I have them in tier order lol. Maybe I am bragging a little bit. Well I'm proud of my 30 minutes of work on a CSS. Very proud.

Kovu the only way to turn a CPU off is to unplug the controller in that port. Or take the batteries out of the wiimote occupying that port. Then it goes away. Simple as that.

By the way, by poking around in the sc_selcharacter.pac with BrawlBox you can manually replace CSPs. It works brilliantly, with no risk of crashing. It's also incredibly easy to do.
