Honestly PSASBR wasn't terrible, it's just that stupid system of having to kill with supers that ruins it. I mean the roster isn't phenomenal but the core gameplay would be a lot of fun if it was just rungout based or had health meters.

I'd say Multiversus is around roughly the same level of quality. With some tweaks it could work a lot vetter
i would defend the system any day then hate on it cause it tried to be different.

I don't quite understand what you're saying here but I'll say this:

PSASBR wasn't bad for wanting to be different. I don't mind when platform fighters do things different - it's the fact that the way it did things differently wasn't good. Having to kill with supers means that doing damage is pointless outside of building meter. Even then most of the Level One and Two Supers just weren't very useful in the first place.

For now, we shall wait and see. I assume all the things happening (season delay, voice changes) are WB changing things behind the scenes. We will see what happens in the New Year.

While I’m here:
At the very least the music in this game DOES NOT dissapoint

Oh no, I agree. That's actually what I was getting at lol. Like both are games riddled with their own unfortunate issues with some similarities in their circumstances, and are about the same quality in my eyes.

Though I'm probably more forgiving of the super system in PSASBR than most because I mained Sackboy, who had a solid level one and a RIDICULOUS level two lmao.

It's been so long since I played it but Sackboy was really fun I remember. Him, Sly, and Kat. Tbh the super system might even work with some rehauling. I actually kinda want a sequel at this point, they've got a lot of great picks they could go for nowadays. Astro and Jin Sakai being the biggest standouts to me personally.

Speaking of overhauls, I've said it before and I'll say it again I really hate the whole class system in MvS, not by principle, just on the fact it means nothing. In a class-based system you want to provide a central core theme and give them abilities or skills unique to what they are. Give them different defensive options, a dedicated passive for each class shared amongst them, or like an ability/buff based on the pair of classes your team is. Just something because right now it's nothing that a tag couldn't do the job of better [Brawler, Rushdown, Zoner, Grappler, etc.] It's wasted potential for sure. Hell, even the loss of Support stings because it could've been so much more interesting.

Last night I grinded to unlock Marceline (I already had 5k fighter road experience from character level ups saved in advance for it) and also somehow completed the entire Power Pledge event. (Good thing I already had some holiday skins from Beta. I could’ve gotten the sweater Bugs or Joker skin, but I wanted the Marceline sweater skin from that event instead.)

So…

Multiversus Twitter recently posted a video advertising the Unicorn Reindog skin using the audio from Charlie the Unicorn.

Problem is, according to the creator of Charlie the Unicorn, WB didn’t ask permission for the audio.

I did see that and by default, it's not a good look. But I heard something that the creator didn't care for TikTok or other video users using audio from Charlie the Unicorn, despite the fact that TikTok has a creator's system thing similar to Youtube's, meaning that there are people out there making money from using copyrighted audio and clips.
The Multiversus advertisement team should've asked for permission, sure. But why exactly do random TikToks and whatnot get the free pass? Especially the ones making money from the same audio and clips?

Based on another tweet by the creator, I assume it’s a “big corporation using it without permission = bad” situation.

This was such a cringeworthy flop out of their team. It’s like they want people to have reasons to dislike the game. :drshrug:

Nakat gave us a tease as to the next character’s play style via his Twitter.

Specifically, he stated the character has a lot of unique specials and leans into conventional move designs seen in other platform fighters not yet seen in Multiversus.

Obviously it's vague enough to be anyone, but I feel like you could make a strong case for Aquaman in particular.

Aquaman being a season five character is kind of an open secret at this point, so he's already on the table. He could have TONS of options for special attacks just due to how expansive his skills are (water attacks, aquatic creature summons, storm and lightning attacks, a rekka style attack with his trident, etc).

And then for a conventional platfighter archetype not yet in...we don't really have a character with a universal tipper mechanic, do we? I think Nubia has a tipper mechanic tied to one of her perks, but not anything universal. A trident user would make a ton of sense in this regard.
