¨Cool thing. And hey, can you give me a bit tip on drawing? I can't seem to get Rosalina's face and body right...¨

Well, what's not looking right? Does the body and face not match together? Or do they not seem reminiscent enough to Rosalina? A great way to start an image is by drawing a base. Doing rough shapes then sharpening them up helps immensely (sketching is the way to start an image~). Perhaps you can find an image of someone posing similarly and use that as a reference to help? Try building off what you have. Small changes such as shading or a few lines can turn a disaster into a work in progress. Look at it, and decide what is not right, what should be changed, etc. Then work on them one at a time. Let me know if any of these tips work, if they do not, I will think of more. :D

Well, I will say that drawings that depict her as a sex symbol of sorts like having big *** breasts and wearing half naked clothing like a porn star does crosses the line for me.

That's something no character can escape from. ;-;

Ah, forget it. If only I knew how to draw, I would definitely make one with her wearing chains and a hat like a OG.

Drawing can be a talent or a skill. Why not use your love for the character as motivation to start practicing? Drawing from one's mind is quite difficult, find some reference images and build off from there. Practice makes perfect~.

The problem is, the body just seem... 'too fat' when I draw below her... uhhh... boobs breasts. When I draw the below to 'curve' in from the breasts, she looks too thin. When I draw them straight line, they just seem... too straight lol.

The face... I need to learn how to draw her head properly. I guess I need to look at more fanarts to take some example from...

Regarding the smoking pic Shirma posted, it's fine in terms of the artwork simply existing.

To be quite honest, I could see Rosalina being a smoker. In fiction, there are plenty of calm and relaxed female characters that are portrayed as smokers, and the aesthetic goes well with tall women, especially ones with long fingers. Rosalina has that down pat. I don't think she'd be a heavy smoker, but she's an immortal goddess, it literally wouldn't harm her and so I could realistically see her taking a whiff of one when with adult friends, especially if it wasn't just a typical cigarette, and was maybe a fancy designer cigarette or something. She wouldn't do it around the Lumas though.

Also the artist who made that picture has plenty of artwork of Rosalina that is more typical of what we expect or doesn't seem unusual.

As far as my pairing headcanon goes, Bowser x Rosalina is my OTP, and I rarely ship non-canon pairings. It started off as a crack ship, but the more I think about it, the more I genuinely adore it. If Rosalina gets into a Mario RPG or Paper Mario game and Bowser has to fight with Mario a la Super Paper Mario, then I could actually see it being teased too.

But yeah they look so good together, it doesn't look out of place at all to me. Big mama for a big boy:

Bowser would probably need a very coordinated sneak attack on her in order to kidnap her. After all, we do know that he seems capable of doing some serious damage since he stole the Power Stars and Grand Stars from the Comet Observatory. Rosalina may be a powerful being, but even she can have weaknesses.

As far as someone's own headcanon regarding Rosalina, well I guess anything is possible and people can literally imagine her however they want to. -but the way that she's portrayed Canonically by Nintendo, I could never see her being a smoker.
First off I doubt she even has any "Adult friends"- it always seemed to me that Nintendo's intention was to portray her as a sort of a tragic loner who eventually found solace in deciding to take care of and become the guardian of the Lumas who have seemingly lost their Mother. She bonds with them in the way that she understands how it feels to lose your mother, seeing as her own passed away at some point, and in that sense she kind of forgoes her own childhood in order to become the caretaker and protector of the Lumas. Quite literally their Mother.
I can't see someone like that interested in something like Smoking, which is not only gross but harmful to her own body (immortal or not) and the bodies of the "children" she cares for and the environment they live in. Imagine if the Comet Observatory smelled like Cigarette butts. Yuck.

Aside from that, even with the ability to imagine whatever you want in your own AU, Rosalina never struck me as the type who would hang out chillaxin with friends, drinkin' Burrs and smokin'.
She's the silent, unseen, watchful guardian of the Cosmos and protector of it's children. It's why she's such a cool character to me. Tragic but Noble at the same time, she chose to, in a way exile herself- missing out on her life on the planet of her birth in order to watch over other young beings who needed her. It's also why I prefer to imagine her alone rather than shipping her with another character.
Although I do like the idea of her being the "higher authority" that Geno once spoke of serving back in Super Mario RPG. I would love to see a game about that one day.

The problem with envisioning Rosalina as a complete loner is that she can't be one - she doesn't travel through and protect the universe for no reason, let alone re-imagining it when needed. She has people she wants to protect, things she wants to preserve, and that can't be limited to Lumas. She's old to the point of her age being unknown, so I'm sure she's met many people of many different races. She even specifically has a repair garage on the Observatory, and I don't really see that being used for herself all that much, since she can fly and teleport to get around. It seems like a general workshop area, that guests may use to repair their spaceships, like the Toad Brigade would.

While I would see her as "lonely" in terms of the void her family left can never be filled, I don't see her as a loner, as she has friends. She welcomed Mario and his friends onto the Observatory without hesitation, so it's not like she doesn't know how to treat guests. Plus, she's portrayed as an outgoing, talented person, and even her uniting with the Lumas to begin with was evidence of that.

Regarding smoking? I could see her doing it in the right company. I don't imagine it as a regular thing, but I can see her doing it with classy friends who might offer her one on occasion. I'm obviously not imagining her like some edgy teenager who thinks she has swag, leaning against a pole whole smoking cigarettes with other teens. I'm envisioning the more classy kind of smoking, something that you'd see in a 1920's rich party.

Headcanons are things you imagine about a character that are believable based on facts relating to that character in canon (things that are completely made up are called "fanon"). The reason people tend to draw Rosalina as a smoker on occasion is because of that - it's not THAT absurd for the character in the right setting. Of course it would never happen in a Nintendo game, but just in terms of her character, it's not hard for me to envision her doing it, considering her personality and her overall aesthetic, and this is coming from someone who has studied this character way more than necessary.

I also don't like smoking IRL at all and actually consider it a turn-off after a point, so this isn't "smoker's bias" at play either. But I'm also not gonna deny that the character, realistically, could do it on occasion, even though she's practically "muh waifu" at this point and I would not DESIRE the prospect of the character doing it at all. :V

Realistically, it would be impossible for Bowser to kidnap Rosalina without writing him into a bull**** Gary Stu situation. She can fly and teleport at will, and even turn gigantic.

Rosalina doesn't have weaknesses, SMG1 just wrote her into a bull**** situation that should never have happened (even if Bowser did start absorbing the Power Stars, Rosalina could have reacted and taken care of it then and there). The only reason Rosalina doesn't do anything is because it's a Mario game and we wouldn't have one if she did. I mean, she can fly and teleport in a PLATFORMING game.

I hate hearing people call Rosalina "princess" at every turn on the internet, but I keep it to myself most of the time. Or how about listening to the most pathetically bad and inaccurate "Rosalina VS Sonic canon fight" you will ever read, in the "Who is Canonically the Strongest Character in Smash?" thread (hint: the answer is Rosalina, but nobody wants to accept it because she's not a badass animu furry that kids think are edgy)?

Rosalina is still awesome in every way for who she really is no matter what people depict her in their drawings, whether it's something as beautiful as you would see in a fairytale book or as explicit as a criminal locked up in jail for robbing a bank or whatever.

Well some Rosalina canons that is sort of out of edge can often cause arguments. Which isn't a thing that I like to see.

Nothing about Rosalina suggests she would smoke, NOTHING!

Rosalina is a loving caring mother. And considering she's surrounded by children, why would she possibly smoke forcing them to passive smoke, which is worse than smoking the actual cigarette.

But the one thing I hate most is Smoking, I can't stand the smell, it has no benefits at all and for some reason people still pick up the habit despite knowing how bad it, despite how much they cost, its just stupid. Nothing about Rosalina suggests she would smoke, NOTHING!

Rosalina is a loving caring mother. And considering she's surrounded by children, why would she possibly smoke forcing them to passive smoke, which is worse than smoking the actual cigarette.

uggh, I'm sorry if I'm overreacting. But the one thing I hate most is Smoking, I can't stand the smell, it has no benefits at all and for some reason people still pick up the habit despite knowing how bad it, despite how much they cost, its just stupid.
