I'm still trying to learn how to play Rosalina on a competitive level. Don't know where to start.

When i see this the only thing that comes to my mind it's mariotehplumber , lol.

I have tracking at him for months now, and really, the reason why I hate him is not just because his hatred at Rosalina, is his attitude. I comment him and he actually say that he had destoryed Rosalina fans in this thread... and tell me to get out of his Youtube videos, what a dop.

And recent Smash conquest mode has Rosalina, you guys know that right? I got 7 points with Rosalina so far.

And I need some help, or advice guys: Have any of you guys like to send replays to your friends on the 3DS? Well, when I was trying to send replays to friends, when it was loading the the friends list, it will go back to the home menu screen and say"error has occured....." And then the system restarts. I manage to upload one, sending pics works every time.But it always happens when I got to online then send, and still occurs once when sending it directly on the replay menu. This really frustrated me again because I'm using a New 3DS, so this shouldn't be happen, I guess.

So when I first was training my Mega Man and Sonic Amiibos, I let Rosalina be their "mentor". Sonic was doing well all of the time, but Mega Man was lagging behind. So I started doing team battles, and let Rosalina go with Mega Man, and I went with Sonic, most of the time.

Rosalina generally won the matches, but one thing that kept happening was that she would share her stock with Mega Man when he lost all of his. This happened a bunch of times. And the whole time, all I could think of was this image:

Yes, I read that. I'm not saying you should travel, or spend time or money I was just suggesting if you were interested in their group. The competitive scene is nice once you're in it, even from afar.

I feel like you and I are connected somehow when I saw that pic. Each time I play 2v2 battles, I always pin those two together.

Got around to playing Mario golf World tour and got the Rosalina DLC. Already love playing as her.

Also, love playing this game! It is quite technical and satisfying to play. It almost makes me want to take up real golf.

I would attend tournaments but:

I live in Ireland and the bulk of the Smash competitive scene is in the US.

Not exactly the equivalent to walking down to my local community center.

Plus, I'm in college. I don't have as much time for Smash or even basic socialising as I'd like.

In Taiwan, there isn't any big competitive Smash community... I believe there are those who are just miraculously good with any fighting games, but there isn't any notable Taiwanese Smasher.

I remember last year's September, me and my two brothers go to a local Taiwan 3DS gathering club at McDonalds, that time, when Smash Bros released in Japan, everyone was playing Smash at the time. So my brothers go and play Smash with them, and well... my brothers seems to dominate nearly every matches. Next week later, seldom people were playing Smash. Niw, none of them are playing. Seems that many Taiwanese gamers just like to play games that are "new", I even saw one of them starting to sell Smash Bros for 3DS for only US$30!

Speaking of guides, I have been meaning to share this for a while but never got around to it.

I feel it's a pretty good guide for beginner/intermediate players. He doesn't use overly technical terms, so much as he describes what he's doing, which I think is pretty good. He's also funny (I recommend subscribing to him, he has a lot of Smash stuff as well as other things, and puts up videos everyday).

So uh

I got my Elgato back, finally.

So I did some video recording today. Here's a replay I liked, just an online match with a friend of mine that I had recently (me playing as Rosalina of course). I have been talking about how I have been trying to experiment more with the Rosalina & Luma separation game, and you can see a bit of that here once it gets into my second stock (though both myself and my friend mess up our first stocks REAL bad ). I won't get too detailed and experimental with it until the summer, but I really think it tremendously improves R&L's overall potency in a competitive context, and more Rosalina mains should be learning the controls for Luma, how to apply them, and how to weave in and out, alternating between Rosalina and Luma as the main fighter making a presence on the stage.

Not sure if it's fully processed yet. If it isn't, it might stutter. Anyway yeah, my first time showing myself playing Smash. No commentary or anything, it's just a quick replay upload. Enjoy!

Sorry about the double post, but nobody seems to be posting right now, so...

I have another video I recorded yesterday but uploaded this morning. Just a run through of Classic Mode 9.0 on Smash Wii U, with Rosalina. Again, apologies for no commentary, but there were some amusing moments regardless (the way I "defeated" Link was hilarious).

Looking at the first video, if you want to truly make the separation work, your Luma positioning will need some more work. There were plenty of instances where you just made Luma stand there to take a shield breaker for example.

There are a couple ways to help Luma avoid attacks.

1. Calling back Luma. Not always preferable as that immediately makes Luma "attach" to you again.
2. Dash attack, aerials, and up-tilt. All these attacks can move Luma.
3. Turning around. Luma usually stands a decent distance away from the direction Rosalina is facing even when "unattached" so siimply turning around can help luma get away.
4. Hitting the opponent before they hit you. Obvious one.

Hope these are of help. : )

Actually, letting Luma get hit by those Shield Breakers was completely intentional. I positioned him to bait those Shield Breakers, so I could punish Lucina (since the move has a lot of cool down).

Notice how I only took 2% damage from when I respawned on my second stock, to when I took Lucina's second stock.
