Upsmash is hard to hit unless you do it out of a dash attack cancel as a surprise. Downsmash is great when you're tumbling with up close. Fsmash is great too, but hard to hit also. Or you could go zelda

downsmashhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I lol'd b/c drephen being drephen is just funny. QTF and include f-smash, u-smash and upB. Just with f-smash and d-smash you need to do some sick gimping to quicken the killing process.

To kill a high percent opponent with sheik, perform the following combo.
C-Stick move (any)-> down B -> C-stick move (any)
I sound like i'm jesting.... but it is, in fact, a very very good way to kill people.
And remember the special bonus: you'll get to wipe sheik's move decay clean!

i actually find the up-b to be very effective, use it on the ground and it isn't to hard to hit either

A good edgeguard. Knock them off with a dsmash and keep them off with fairs, bairs, and nairs. Sheik's >B tether makes grabbing that ledge invincibility easy for the edgehog. See a Marth coming from below? Hold back, forward, hit B twice, and watch him fall to his doom.

Ftilt -> usmash works wonders for onstage killing, though. So many people try to DI into ftilts only to be killed at early % with Sheik's great usmash.

As some others have said, I enjoy to knock them away with a few aerials or a smash attack then change to Zelda for the kill. If you are quick you should be able to remain unpunished.

you use a down smash right... you see them wayy off stage trying to recover right? you jump after them, right? right when they use their second jump, you use your move.. its called your fair... or maybe even your bair.. and you do this thing thats like .. gimping their recovery.. and usually they die, even at low percentages. thats the most reliable way of killing most characters

*note: characters like pit and rob are excluded*

sheik's best KO move is ZELDA'S usmash.

Honestly, transforming when your opponent is at over 100% is the best KO option. Zelda is WAY too dangerous with her smashes, Din's Fire spamming, and fair/bair KO's.

A great Sheik player should work on both characters. (Which isn't hard at all. Just transform, run, and usmash... if they let go of their shield, they are dead. If they are smart enough to block the whole thing, then just usmash when they are above you. Or whatever.)

Whenever I get a KO with Sheik, it is usually because I was lucky enough to edgeguard well with fairs or get a good usmash. It's much more reliable to KO with Zelda.

And yes, you have PLENTY of time to transform if you just knock them far enough.

Upsmash, Up B, and Nair are the 3 strongest in that order.

Edit:

About switching...DO IT.

YOUR DIMINISHED MOVES GET RENEWED!!!! Zelda will start out with fresh moves and Sheik will have fresh moves when changing back.

lol fair doesn't gimp anyone good this isn't melee... the knockback and priority are terrible on it.

If i'm having to switch to zelda... why do i even play this character? :( It's not like Zelda has a problem racking up damage either.

Most reliable?

I would have to say a full power down smash as it is overall easier to hit people with then up.

Move I kill with the most?

Nair FTW

It's true that Zelda can effectively rack up damage, but she can't do it quite as well as sheik. Really it varies from enemy to enemy, some characters take a racking easy from Zelda, some don't.

If you mained only Zelda, you wouldn't have Sheik's counterpick benefits against key opponents: Game and Watch, Lucas, Ness, Olimar IMO, and probably a few other characters I am not yet familiar with.
You don't HAVE to switch to Zelda to kill with Sheik. Without switching, he probably still can kill better than Sonic and Diddy but probably worse than Meta Knight (something in that ballpark). But when you come to the situation of 110%, enemy off stage, transform or chase? then you should make the decision that will increase your chance of winning the most, and that would be to tap the B button and push your left thumbstick towards yourself.

The transformation really does throw people off too. Your Zelda moves will hit just because your opponent hasn't adjusted to the new opponent.

There are several full Zeldas, Zelda-onlys down in the Zelda forums, but i think they are making the wrong decision.

Here's how it works.

Sheik was not made to destroy people at early %. If that was your intent all along, use Zelda. KOing efficiently and early with Sheik involves proper edgeguarding with her fair. Off the stage, its low knockback is offset by the fact that it has a nearly horizontal trajectory, making it a very effective gimp KO move.

If you see your opponent reaching 100%+, it'll be easy to knock them away, but still difficult to outright KO them. However, knocking them away at this point will present you with the opportunity of using Zelda. At high %, fair edgeguards won't be able to happen as often (DI's taking them farther up than to the side, and Sheik's aerial speed is rather mediocre), so you're clearly better off going for a direct KO. KOing off the top with something like Din's Fire, usmash, or uair is even better, because it gives you ample time to transform back to Sheik.

Oh, and Sheik is pretty good at racking up damage. Needles that cut through almost anything (even Mach Tornado); an ftilt that can set up into aerials, usmash, or utilt for a quick 20-30% damage; dsmash is still fast and still an effective spotdodge punisher; very nice overall movement and attack speed... She's also far less vulnerable on recovery, possessing a fast tether recovery, an Up+B that can kill on a failed edgeguard, wallcling, walljump, and quick landing recovery off of her Up+B.

How are you going to rack up that damage with zelda, and have ALL of her attacks be fresh for the kill at the same time?

Yes I always play sheik over zelda for a reason :p But seriously even dsmash is weaksauce in this game.

I'll try Vanish and switching to Zelda for kill moves. F-smash is begging for shield grab ****.

How are you going to rack up that damage with zelda, and have ALL of her attacks be fresh for the kill at the same time?
You only need a few of Zelda's attacks to be fresh... back air (which you shouldn't be using early anyway), up air (strongest up air in the game), and maybe dsmash or fsmash.

Depends on what style of game you play.
Zelda is top-tier for 2v2
Explain.
