I reckon due to Pokemon generally being popular subjects to use for fusions, which does make sense.

I haven't seen that many. The most I've seen is them being humanized into cute anime characters.

I think it's interesting tho. And more gardevoir is cool in whatever form :D

Real talk, as disapointing as it would be to see Gardevoir as a Pokeball Pokemon again, it would be a bit of a relief.

Means that Gardevoir didn't get the Isaac or Ray mk 3 treatment. Nobody wants that unless there's DLC on the cards.

That is a good point. I would rather her playable, but her in the game would be nice

I'm in the same boat, while I would love to see Gardie get in as a playable fighter (which has a real legit chance of happening), her reprising her old Pokeball role is just as good, we still get her in the game in some form (playable or assist), granted if that happens, then my support would go towards Incineroar (who happens to be my favorite Fire-type Starter).

Same goes for Waluigi (my favorite Mario character, who's been an assist for the past 3 Smash Bros games).

Agree with ya on that.

Granted Gardevoir can speak telepathically if she got in the game as a playable fighter (no doubt they'll use her anime voice).

I'm not a fan of just a reflecting gardevoir, even if it's nice to see her in the game. I'd want to see her have more, and to be playable would be sooo cool compared to any of that. Anyway, gonna enjoy what there is, and who knows!

Well, with Isabelle confirmed as a Semi-clone that means that even the most accurate and trustworthy leakers are completely in the dark about Echos.

Gardevoir could still make it, even if all the main characters have been leaked.

Incineroar is looking to be the Pokémon rep if there is one. If we're opening the spot up to Pokémon from any Gen, Gardevoir would IMO be the better choice.

Yeah it's quite interesting that it has yet to be shown, I'm honestly feeling it might somehow be dropped entirely out like how Wobbuffet was (granted I just assumed its lack or presence during the BW anime resulted in that) but here's hoping for playable still. I really want them to go back to adding a older Mon rep like they did back in Brawl with Pokemon Trainer, I feel people were too focused on bringing Mewtwo back to really focus on that for a newcomer during Smash 4.

Though even if Incineroar is in, if we still never see Gardevoir as a pokeball, I think that gives us a very big chance for her as DLC.

While the last 2 games have given us 2 new pokemon in each (brawl with trainer and luicario, Smash4 with Charizard(since he is on his own he is kinda new) and Greninja), I don't think we will get 2 unique newcomers from the same series this game, at least in the base roster. Feels like Sakurai wants to expand the series being rep with echos mostly, or large fan requests(ridley, K rool, and Isabelle) Plus since it feels like every new smash may be focusing on the new game in the pokemon series, for base roster, DLC is the best bet for gen 3 and gen 5 to get a rep.

And the best way to represent both is Gardevoir with a Gothitella echo, well at least the most effienct way.

well even if they do happen to add Incineroar, there is a chance of Gardevoir and a fifth get echo could be added to rep all seven generations. I actually can get behind PapaGeno's logic on the notion of the possibility that "Sakurai sees people request for mons being focused on gen representation and adding reps based off that". Still call me a hater, but I'd rather see Gardevoir alone without Incineroar or a different pokemon added

Hoy! I just wanna pop in to say if we were to get another Pokemon in Ultimate, I'D LOVE IT TO BE GARDEVOIR! Really, they're one of my favourite Pokemon, I'm a huge sucker for Fairy types, and I'd really love a popular non-gen 1 pokemon to get in.

I'm a slight advocate against Incineroar in Smash, and if any new Pokemon should be added, i'd go with Gardevoir (+Gothitelle, why not, that leak kinda had me hyped). I always loved her design and main her in Pokken.
