Did he seem off? I know that his IC's are pretty beast with the CG.

How was his G&W overall other then losing to a PT?

First match was Marth vs Game and Watch on Smashville. I won, but it was last hit.

He then picked FD and nearly threestocked me with his Ice Climbers. He wasn't messing up the chaingrabs and I don't know how to avoid Ice Climber nonsense without platforms/projectiles.

I counterpicked Norfair and crushed his Game and Watch pretty badly up until the end where he started to make a comeback. It was last stock, low damage.

He was pretty good. He seemed pretty smart when I played him, and it was obvious that he plays a very good Marth over in Texas(Roy_R). He got 4th in teams with GMoney, so I guess he's good in teams, too.

It's hard on FD. My spacing was fine, but it wasn't perfect. It takes three tiny moments of imperfection to lose on FD to the Ice Climbers. I need platforms. Hylian agrees that platforms are necessary in that match.

Melee 1 has a scary *** IC from what i've seen too.

Cammy and Akuma are gonna be in SFIV console btw.

Best game ever if they; add Rose, Sakura, Gen, T.Hawk, Alex, Oro, Dudley and Ibuki.

The roster would end up being:

The eight original default
The original four bosses
Four Super/Super Turbo characters
Four Alpha characters
Four SFIII characters
Four new characters

Pretty balanced 28 character roster, that's extremely unlike to happen. I doubt they'll break 20.

i was sad i couldnt find dc universe vs mortal kombat :(


o and i got my mgs4 and my psp signed by hideo kojima himself and the art director of mgs4.. i forget his name i think yoji shinkawa

o and i got a street fighter 4 poster signed by yoshinori ono the producer of sf4 ^_^

well i just found out i have to leave soon and i wont be back tilll saturday night with no acess to computer so ill just write quick, i promise to write a ton when i get back, and sry its all from memory ><

SF4- i have to say i LOVE the art style it is so beautiful to watch and play.they were stingy i waited 20 minutes and i only played one match so i waited again to play again ^_^, first time i played as rufus vs vega rufus is kinda luggish it seemed like but i figured out sum kick where he dives from the air that was really good ( my opponent was awful and i 2-0ed him not saying i dont suck xD)
and vega seemed to have alot of reach, next go around.. after waiting another 20 minutes.... i played ryu vs rufus and ryu seemed to be the same as other games

Too human- was pretty fun lots of rpg elements involved with good graphics u fight TONS of enemys at once and u have alot of health, the camera sucks my balls since u use the right analog stick to attack with melee weapons which was stupid and annoying, so u cant control the camera and i was always confuseda

force unleashed - ****ing awesome, beautiful graphics great physics, between using teh force to pick up people, then filling them with lightning, throwing them, and watching them explode in beautiful sparks, and chucking my lightsaber, combos that mix the lightning with the light saber, it was awesome

tales of vesperia- empty people wise but i had alot of fun it seemed to be a level in the middle or late beginning, main character is yuri and there is a hyperactive chick that got guards angry so they chase u, a kid, another chick, and a wolf/dog, battle system is just like tales of symphonia except i couldnt figure out how to jump (no it wasnt up on teh control stick)

DUO i saw only a bit of it looked pretty standard MMO and i just saw sum superheros i didnt recognize beating up people >< lol looked pretty cool, i ran out of time so i didnt play it

yea comic con new york was pretty lame but this one was awesome :laugh:


more on tales of vesperia - the fighting system is slightly different then tales of symphonia where instead of jumping to hit aerial based enemies u now can angle your attack up or down, so enemies will duck to avoid attacks (idk about jump) and sum are naturally low to the ground, u can also vary attacks angled up, down and middle for different combos, its pretty **** cool, other then that everything ellse was either same as tales of symphonia or standard rpg

more on street fighter 4 - in the 40 minutes i watched alot of matches since thye had them displayed on tvs throughout the capcom booth, i didnt see many combos, now at first i assumed duh noone knew wtf they were doing, but i remember seeing plenty during videos onlnie, but i watched capcom employees play and they seemed to knowall characters attacks and they werent comboing, also i was talking to a ryu cosplayer and he said the same thing, so hopefully its not turning the brawl route and im just dumb

more on force unleashed- too good, bosses are finished off using a stirng of button presses, similar to god of war's boss battles, and its super awesome, but the game was WAY too ****ing easy, maybe it was just the comic con demo (altough other comic con demos were hard /cough dead space) but i noticed how much health damage i was taking at the start so i tried just standing to see how long i lasted, and i was standing taking endless lasers for a good while and my health barely dropped halfway, even on the boss, his main attack was a stomp and it did like 1/20th of my health, health doesnt regenerate its collected from deafeating enemies and the force regenerates

idk what else to say about too human i didnt like it

my favorite game at the show was surprisngly dead space since i didnt expect anything of it

Nah, I seen match vids from Japanese pros already playing SF4. There are indeed combos. Plenty of em.

About Melee1. I'm in Texas right now and played him in tourney. In Winners bracket, he 2 stocked my MK twice. Then I had to fight him again in losers, where my Snake beat him twice on Battlefield 1 stock.

It was like fighting NJ DDD's all over again but a bit tougher because when you get grabbed you die, sorta...He does Dthrow-->Fair at high percents, hope you don't tech it, and then ice blocks you to make you stand up, where he grabs you again. If you tech away you're fine, that's what I did. He's really good though, but the practice I got from Montage DDD's in not getting grabbed really really helped.

I would like to apologize to Montage, as well as the rest of NJ, for not defending our state against the NY players yesterday. I only placed 2nd in teams and 3rd in singles, and NY won both events.

Like I told ya, D1 and NinjaLink are tough.

Inui and I placed 2nd behind only NY so I don't wanna hear "Keitaro is teh sux in teams" anymore :laugh:
