I have a question... for team battles. Is top 16 considered pro status by MLG standards? Or is it like top 8, or another number?

This is just step one in a goal that will ultimately be like Halo. We got a start, now everyone needs to keep coming out to events and hyping things so we can grow and show everyone we belong.

Except if Nintendo doesn't give rights this is very unlikely. MLG won't keep a game they can't have media for. Everything he mentioned is directly related to the live stream.

Just wanted to touch on a few things I saw within the last page or two. I will keep answering questions in the thread that is created for MLG Columbus.

Hopefully Smash will be like Halo as well Hopefully we get the turnout we did for Orlando, and hopefully Nintendo allows us to have a Live Stream of the tournament.

The 2v2 event does not have Pro teams or players. The singles event will have pro players. The top 16 players from the singles event based on cumulative rank points will be considered Pro.
