What topics of discussion do you see the need to discuss? Because you haven't tried to start or continue any - If you think my questions are discussion for the sake of discussion, why don't you start talking about something you find to be important then?

I mean dismissive in that I ask you a very open ended question with plenty of room for reasoning, explanation and depth but you give me conversation stopping one-liners.

I haven't tried to start a new discussion because I have been responding to your questions. It would be pretty rude for me to change the topic until you're content with my answer.

There's a difference between having a good discussion as opposed to just talking for the sake of talking. I think you're trying too hard to find something that doesn't exist (me being dismissive).

Relax, bro.

I have plenty to discuss, but I'm also in no rush.

I won't take offence bro, don't worry, I'm also capable of talking about more than one thing at once

I concede dismissive isn't the right word, but you haven't been an active participant in discussion - I hear you saying that you think I'm just talking for the sake of it, but I'm asking you what you think we'd be better off discussing, you say you have "plenty to discuss"? But you're in no rush? Ok cool, it'd still be nice to get this game going, so show me what you've got? What are you waiting for?

I didn't sign up for this game :v

Sooo I decided to not open my PM. I'm playing schrodinger's cat right now.

Can I just shoot Omni again?

No, Xonar played properly last game. He was scum and knew Vinyl would probably be susceptible to a gambit.

Xonar, are you still scum?

Telling me I'm not playing properly isn't going to fix anything.
What the hell is properly anyway?

So, Omni, you realize that I'm going to focus on you this game, right? Why do you think that is?

Properly? By confirming the information in your role PM.

You're going to focus me this game because you're salty about me getting you lynched in our last mafia game.

FYI: Anyone who shoots or votes without some kind of mutual agreement dies immediately. Any of you not okay with this?

No, I said I was town. Why are you asking if I'm scum?

Scum Xonar was very trollish with a large amount of ad hominems. Can't confirm is this is the same with Town Xonar. X1-12, have you played a game with Xonar where he was town?

Nope. Burden is on you to prove that that is properly.

You're going to focus me this game because you're salty about me getting you lynched in our last mafia game.
You didn't get me lynched, that was Kuz. Even then my lynch wasn't going to go through but it was Red Ruy having a dumb stroke of luck. You aren't capable of getting me lynched in a larger game. Sorry.
But that's irrelevant.

There's a reason why I'm only focusing on you. You see, there are three players this game. I'm town as long as I don't read my role PM (after which I might still be town), which means that scum is between Omni and X1-12. That means I just need a solid read on one of the two slots and then town has won, it's that simple. I've never played with X1 before so why bother spending time trying to read him? I'll just read you.

Makes sense imo

No, Xonar. Scum and town have two different objectives here.

Town:
- Lynch/shoot scum.
- Don't lynch/shoot town.

Scum:
- Lynch/shoot anyone.

Scum's objective is to put enough doubt on one person while gaining enough trust from another possibly putting that person into the pivot situation.

Town's objective is trying to distinguish who is the scum and who is the town.

If you're not reading your role PM this is most beneficial for scum. Simply by playing the game as if you were town (not confirmed) means you suffer no penalty if you are actually scum. The knowledge of not knowing your own role only benefits scum and is simply an automatic realization from a town player reading their town confirm.

Town will never have a reason to shoot/lynch without a mutual disagreement unless they had a strong feeling that their hunch was correct.

I think anyone who shoots/votes prematurely needs to die to keep the game from prematurely ending. Neither of you answered this question. Are you or are you not okay with this?

A vote (or shot) can only cause game end if a townie votes another townie (so it doesn't matter if you try and kill the voter immediately). If this is not the case then its equally likely (from a town Omni POV) that the voter was town or scum - So why does killing the voter immediately help at all? Infact it does the opposite

You're actually suggesting that in a situation where a townie and a scummie are crossvoting, instead of the third person trying to read them, they should just kill whoever voted first

Killing the voter/shooter prevents scum from doing the same gambit Xonar pulled off last game.

Unless you see a reason for a town member to ever pull that kind of gambit less to just be a jackbutt.

Sooo say I am actually scum, wouldn't I go against my win condition my reading my role PM?
I don't want to take that risk :c

Also, X1-12's latest post. Trufax

Lol, true.

The point is to kill anyone who wants to pull off a gambit to dissuade scum from trying to pull a gambit similar to Xonar's.

Does this not make sense?

You're gonna have to spell it out for me, I'm a salty scrub after all.
I only called you salty. Never said you were a scrub. :smirk:

Should be to kill someone some way or another. Why do you ask?

The way you worded it seemed like you knew what scum's win condition was. Of course, one can be inferred based off the given context of the game, but I have no idea what scum's win condition says exactly. Which is why I asked.

Do you think I'm gonna do that?

Do you think Xonar is gonna do that?
I have no clue, bro'.

The point is to impose the policy to make sure no one does it so I don't have to think.

I don't see how you think even in early game that your policy would be a better idea than, say, playing the game a reading people...
