Huh. Well like I said, I'll put up a decent-or-better fight, no matter who I'm up against. But there never being any tourneys around here really sucks. If you find anything out, please tell me. I cannot stress this enough. I seriously need to meet new people. People who love to smash.

Sad thing about Brawl is kids like these won't get so ***** that they never post again. Like the kid with the Naruto glasses at Knives' tourny. With his secret technique of running and wavedashing combo.

You know something? People like you keep saying how noobish you think I am. Have you ever actually seen me play? Didn't think so! So unless you feel like Brawling me you shouldn't even be talking.

If you want to MM, sure. Just go to Race's tourney or something.
I may know the game pretty well, but my lingo skills suck. Could you maybe fill me in on what you just said?

Because in that sense, I'm a total noob.

But I'm guessing MM means "Money Match" is that right? If that's the case, I'm flat broke. Well I guess I could fork up five bucks... uh, would you be interested in a non-money match? Sorry, but I'm not big on gambling, no matter how full of myself I become. And what's "Race's Tourney"?

we've been around the block a little bit. i don't even play brawl but seriously: how many times has someone new come out and said they're good at [insert game], good enough to give [reputable player] a challenge? how many times have they actually lived up to the promise? never.

people always overestimate their own skill.

edit: changed "almost never" to "never."

Didn't you post earlier that you'd never post something offensive?

I'm deeply offended. :(

I will not mention how good I think I am again. Instead, I'll gladly accept your offer.
...but I only have five bucks...:(

Thanks, I will! But first, do you know of any tourneys around my area? I'd appreciate it if you had any information regarding them.

lololol

*doesn't know $%^ about Brawl xD)*
I use Pikachu >:]

My address is 1211 W. Alameda Ave. Right across the street from Pavilions.

I don't play Brawl (yet own one) and don't know really anything important that pertains to Brawl (yet somehow winning store tourneys is too easy xD)

So yea, be warned, it's a Melee only stop with me, unless you bring a Wii and cookies to coax me into Brawl.

You live closer to me than I thought; only three minutes away.

But you won't play Brawl without a WII and some cookies? Well I have a WII. Is that enough? Or do you need the cookies?

And by the way... could you tell me more about those store tourneys? They sound like a good place for me to start.

They were more widespread when brawl was in its opening months, but I think Kings Comics on Glenoaks still does small tourneys on the weekend. I'm not sure.

The cookies are the preferred choice, but I won't hold it against you if you don't bring them. D%

Kings Comics? Hmm... I know I've seen it before... just never really paid it any attention.

What are the names of the buildings that surround it? That would help me get a better idea of where it is.

Oh, and if I ever get to meet you, I'll try to make sure I've got some cookies. Which kind do you prefer?

Probably not. :\

They usually take place on days where Melee fests are goin on n stuff.
Oh that's right. You play Melee more. But is me coming over still a possibility? I may like Brawl, but I actually wouldn't mind playing some Melee too. I'd just need a minute to get used to it again.

I used to be pretty good (in my opinion).

No problem. I'm even down to play some brawl if you bring the Wii (I have my own copy).

LOVE how this thread is now a 24 wheneversies thread.

I know I sound like just another pretender, but C0nn0r's right. I'm the real deal. I'm just not known is all. But I plan to be.
Please update your sarcasm-o-meter.

Sorry, but I'm not big on gambling, no matter how full of myself I become.
Entering tournaments is basically gambling and don't give me that "I enter for fun" BS
