Nintendo, Sega, Capcom. After seeing the screenshots I can understand why people would want Pac Man and Namco to get in on this. Too much blue between Mario, Sonic and MegaMan. Needs a splash of yellow.

KK now that's where you are completely wrong. If you have watched any of the Smash 4 videos and seen all the miiverse pictures you will know Sonic and Megaman have extremely different movesets. The only move they share in common is their up special is the same, and that is certainly not enough to call them clones.

I can understand sarcasm when you are talking to someone face to face but never when it is a text based conversation. Its one of my pet peeves. How the hell do people expect other people to see sarcasm in a text-based discussion? I just don't get it...

Yeah, me too. Firstly because it took me a heckload of work to be good with him. And secondly, because his pre-Lost World moves didn't really seem like something Sonic would do.
Boosting at top speed from nothng? Drifting? Or stomping down hard? I can certainly see Metal Sonic pulling these off much more IN-character than Sonic (who I'm used to seeing running, spinning, rolling, bouncing, etc. :D

Perhaps the way he worded it? He used very poor grammar and text speak while stating something that was entirely wrong.

I agree sonic was one of my mains in super smash brothers brawl the other ones were R.O.B and donkey kong for those wondering

I mean i loved that move set now even better now that his attacks not have a better knockback and can combo way better

I still hope he gets that Launch move (Idk what the name is) where when you aerial Down-B and press C-stick back, he launches off about 60% of the length of FD. (Brawl's FD)

Pumped to see Sonic back, he my favorite game character. Kinda disappointing that it seems like they just ported his Brawl moveset over, hopefully it can still be changed, or the few moves that haven't been shown are actually different.


That's the cool down animation for his dash attack iirc.




If I remember right, Sonic's spin dashes don't have a hit box when he starts to turn around.

I should have more clear. I meant it's lame that Sonic doesn't appear to have any new attacks. It's cool that he can pull off combos, but I would have liked some new attacks to play with.

Yeah that little Sonic trailer gave us more insight on how Smash4 will play. Those combos Sonic, Mario and Megaman were pulling off reminded me of the days of Melee.

I know. I almost always check this thread, but when I posted that, you haven't updated the OP yet.

It may have to do with the timezones... If you're in America, it means I'm a few hours ahead, because I'm in Europe.

Pretty much. Whenever they reveal a character on the site during the week, I pretty much consider that week "done" and simply start waiting for the next week for something new. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo started laying the Pokemon promotions on thick starting tomorrow.
