Quite the opposite actually. The centre x is clearly behind the top platform. This item definitely looks like it explodes in the background as opposed to the foreground.
Look at the green in the front and behind the X. It's going through the stage.

Thank you, that argument was annoying.

Unless tomorrow magically becomes Monday...Oh what glorious reveal awaits us on the morrow? Mine body hath not been readied.
Lucario and Blaziken confirmed.Smash Bros. related?
Hmm...probably not.Smash Bros. related?
A pokemon game styled like that is what I've been wanting for a long time. Smash is literally the closest thing we can get to it though. Just use all Pokemon and boom, there you go. Just pretend you pressing the buttons is like you being the Pokemon trainer and calling the shots just as you say them.Again, have to say I want a Pokemon fighting game. That would be SOOO awesome.
where did you find this pic ? :o

LOL I honestly dgaf about this trivial nonsense. Whether it goes through or behind the stage is irrelevant.Thank you, that argument was annoying.
Why did that argument exist in the first place? It's going to burn your ass if your not careful eitherway.LOL I honestly dgaf about this trivial nonsense. Whether it goes through or behind the stage is irrelevant.
People just really enjoy being "right" and "correct", especially on the internet, and ESPECIALLY on these forums haha. Why did that argument exist in the first place? It's going to burn your *** if your not careful eitherway.
There's a Pokémon show on August 17 and 18 in Japan (which Sakurai is attending by the way), and yesterday they showed a video about pokémon's history and at the end they showed this image.
Watch until the end.
Doubt they will be cause of Money, Some games already have two versions so it would kinda be hard work for nothing, and most of all the 3D visuals. 3D is something you usually don't play with on, but It makes the graphics look so much smoother and nice. Please don't be another bull#$%$ title that requires a handheld copy of the game to play!
I'm with the minority of people who don't own any nintendo handhelds. So many great pokemon games slippin through my fingers.
I wish they'd make some sorta gameboy player attachment for the wii u like they did with the gamecube. That thing saved me from missing out on games like A Link to The Past, Link's Awakening, all the other Snes remakes and Pokemon Crystal.
oh... an item huh? wait... *thinks about true facts* 'O'
the explosion is red
red is the color of mario's hat
a hat is something you wear on your head
you also wear a bandana on your head
waddle dee wears a bandana
waddle dee is a mindless common enemy
goomba is also a mindless enemy
GOOMBA CONFIRMED!!!
Aye, you lost me on the bandana. Sorry, but I'm afraid this isn't funny.oh... an item huh? wait... *thinks about true facts* 'O'

But isn't lucario part fighting pokemon? So wouldn't the pose make sense?Though it's off-topic, I still am holding on to the fighting game theory for that clip.
Lucario's in a fighting position, something it doesn't do in Battle Revolution.
Also, there is a poster in the background which appears to be a fist symbol in a circle with a laurel wraith around it and a crown above it.
That REALLY gives off a fighting tournament vibe.....
Yeah I bet a lot of us collected and still have out cards from back in the day. How is this relevant? Also that was a very cute bunny clapping.May I present to you the symbol for the fighting type Pokemon in the TGC. You Pokenoobs better be glad I collected these bad boys like a boss when I was younger. Damn I am old.
Now I am no confirming or deconfirming anything, just figured you should know where the symbol itself comes from.
What if Sakurai is showing Wii U pictures mainly because most people on Miiverse are more interested in the Wii U version?
Oh wow, really? That's quite odd. Personally I love seeing 3DS screenshots. I've been waiting far too long for handheld Smash. That and the fact Sakurai mentioned that the screenshots for the 3DS version don't do it justice. He feels that you need to actually see that version run in motion by the 3DS system itself in order to appreciate it.... Or something along those lines. I guess that's why he doesn't focus as much on the 3DS version. :/
Yup. Here's the quote.Oh wow, really? That's quite odd. Personally I love seeing 3DS screenshots. I've been waiting far too long for handheld Smash.
I would have liked to see some more 3DS screenshots as well since that's the version I will be able to afford for now since I can't afford a Wii U yet but oh well... :/Masahiro Sakurai said:“And the same thing with the Wii U screen – since we’re an HD-compatible console, we’re able to do more details, and bigger stages as seen on previous home consoles. Now of course, I want to point out that everything on 3DS is designed for that screen, and that’s where they look the best. It’s unfortunate we can’t show everyone what it looks like on 3DS, rather than screenshots, while they do look fine, do not do that justice once you see it on the system. Too bad we can’t show everybody what it looks like on the system.”

Probably also has to do with the fact that the majority are looking forward to the Wii U version. Smash Bros started out as a console game, and has always been a console, so obviously people are gonna be the most interested in that, so it's only logical of Sakurai to show pictures from the Wii U the majority of the time. Past games that Sakurai has made should have no impact in how he decides to promote and share content with us.I can't wait to experience the game on the 3DS. Considering how Kirby, Meteos, and KI:U were all handheld games, I was surprised that he wasn't showing more 3DS content than Wii U. Kirby also had console games, but I was referring to the fact that it started as a handheld.
