so since Mother Brain was confirmed to be too big to be a character and had to be relegated to Assist Trophy status what does that say of Ridley's chances? (Ridley is much bigger than mother brain in the games)

Yep, Mother Brain's size is the only reason she's not a playable character. There's totally nothing else that would keep her from being playable.

The Assists I hope are less A.I-based like in Brawl and more drawn to do simple yet effective attacks/commands. Definitely would improve 'em tenfold even if I still don't like the concept itself very much in means of uniqueness.

Like every single thing worth noting that Mr Sakurai posts turns into atleast 2 pages worth of messages involving Mewtwo or Ridley. Uh... No one's really expecting K.Rool next week. There's no precedent for newcomers being revealed around game releases. People expect Diddy.

If it's Gangplank Galleon then I think we can officially declare Smashboards dead from excitement and hype. All of the Elite 4 getting stages, yet none of them confirmed? I'm sure that'd require some sort of bunker if we want to survive.

I was assuming you were talking about Little Mac being Fighting type, Ridley being Dragon, K.Rool being Water, and Palutena being Fairy(for whatever reason) and Mewtwo being the Champion being a Phychic type.

It sure does. But it IS Ridley Sakurai talked about, so this isn't THAT enemy from her past. ^^ But don't worry, Ridley has a big chance to be playable. Just have to Believe that Sakurai sees his potential to be a unique character.

I really want a character who is in a perpetual state of flight. But seeing as how the pokemon Braviary seems highly unlikely I really want Ridley. So many cool things to do with winged characters who don't normally walk.

Ehh... I think it's kind of significant that he won't be an assist... he was originally planned to be an assist in Brawl, but that was scrapped to make him a boss.

Holy ****, you're right. The last time Sakurai posted a pic of Olimar was in the Hocotate Space Ship Bomb Item reveal on November 4th in 2013. Then before that pic, on October 1st. Then before that pic, on September 16th. He was in one of Peach's and Luigi's reveal pics, but the pic of the day before that was August 7th. And was revealed mid July. Dang. Poor Olimar.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but if you look closely at the picture of Mother Brain posted yesterday earlier today, you can see some glass shards flying all over the place. I bet she shatters the glass on her capsule when she unleashes the Hyper Beam.
