If it is a stage he would mention SSE because the stage would be paying homage to SSE. I don't think it is, but that's a reason to mention it.

That said, where is it from.

That's a jungle of some sort. May even be underground or a cave.

But how many Nintendo worlds can you think of that fit that criteria?
