As some have ben saying, we might get a Zelda reveal on December 26, which is when A Link Between Worlds is released in Japan. At least I think that's when the game releases there.

Anywho, as far as characters go, I have decided that with the roster currently being 19, I'm going to assume there's only 1 more character left and that whether it's a veteran or newcomer, it won't be revealed until next E3. Thus, I shall remain unsurprised by any lack of new characters and be pleasantly surprised if I'm proven wrong.

Not that it matters for me. There isn't anyone else I want aside from Captain Falcon and I've come to terms with the possibility of him not returning, as sad as that would be.

Why do you think there will only be 20 characters?

Aside from my usual thoughts bout an Uprising, Zelda gains a new move for once after having been stuck with the same stuff for 2 games straight (well, not confirmed yet, but we'll see), DK got some good teeth, and there's hilarious pictures already, and Peach finally got caught being a cheater by someone other than us. So what will be for New Year's?

Question for those pro-Sheik/anti-Impa folks: if the Phantom were to be Zelda's down B and the Sheik moveset transferred to a new Impa character, what would be your objection? Is it the aesthetic idea of Sheik? Is it her look? Or is it the transformation as part of playstyle? Or is it simply a resistance to change? Sheik, after all, is Zelda so no character is actually cut in that scenario.

We'll find out in due time what that move/item/character is, so just calm the **** down, Sheik hasn't been taken out at all yet, there's no confirmation of anything. Sakurai will surely tell us about it.... unless he pulls a Pyrosphere and trolls us til Sheik is revealed.

I'd be all for it, Impa can represent SS two with that awesome design. That said I don't main Zelda or Sheik so it's kind of a jerk move to push for that big of a change.

1. I'm glad she is still brunette for the sake of variety (and because the tp look is gorgeous)

2. However I am a little bummed by this too, i just started playing Skyward Sword for the first time, and I am currently in love with that Zelda, so I was kinda sorta hoping zelda would look more like that zelda

Still, cutting Sheik at this point, either to free up Zelda or to add Impa, is entirely redundant at this point. I don't expect that happening.

I do agree that having 2 characters in 1 is nice but, seriously, how many of you can say you actually use both Zelda and Shiek during the same match? Most people I know will use either one of them and stay with that character for the rest of the match. Well maybe this time around instead of having either one side of the character useless (melee zelda) or a 30 minute transformation animation (brawl) they'll make both characters useful in a way that lets you instantly switch up in the middle of a combo for maximum benefits (lol wishful thinking).

Also, if the Dark knut soldier were part of her moveset, I'd think it'd be modeled after the TP design and wouldn't be a toon version for the sake of continuity. I'm sure he's just an assist trophy. Plus her pose in that picture is identical to the one in the Link/Peach Homewreckers picture. I'm sure it was an easy shot to rig up.

Last, 2 pretty pretty princesses in 2 weeks? How soon do we get our double Dinosaur dose Sakurai? Nothing screams Happy New Year like Yoshi and Ridley!

How didn't we see this coming? Gerudo Valley.... Sakurai obviously wants to make the roster appear bigger by separating the old Zelda/Sheik combo. Also, Sheik hasn't been in a main game since Ocarina of Time. Impa is reoccurring. This seems like a natural transition for Smash Bros.

It might seem kind of awkward, but I guess that it's possible that one of Zelda's specials got changed so that she summons the Phantom to engage in combat. But unlike with Rosalina's Luma partner, the Phantom simply acts on its own.

All of this also held true for Brawl, except that OoT now has a remake and a stage, so if anything Sheik is in a much better position now than she was then.
