I guess the people who were predicting Zelda got lucky today.

Anyway, regarding the Phantom...

It might seem kind of awkward, but I guess that it's possible that one of Zelda's specials got changed so that she summons the Phantom to engage in combat. But unlike with Rosalina's Luma partner, the Phantom simply acts on its own.

Yeah that's what I thought. It would seem something Smash Bros. never tried before (King Dedede's side B works pretty much like a normal item, while this seems more of a built-in assist trophy). Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale had a similar move with Spike. Would be pretty interesting if true, but if they changed Din's Fire then they probably changed the rest too... I mean why get rid of Din but keep Farore and Nayru?

Anyway some dude in the other thread cleverly demonstrated that Darknut is probably an assist trophy and not a new move. Better this way.
I'm kinda disappointed Zelda looks like she did in TP (still awesome) but that gives me some hope that we'll get alternate costumes this time around. Also again, she looks so much better.

I though link between worlds was a worldwide release date I guess it was seperate

If the phantom was Down+B we immedatly know that shiek is in the graveyard of deconfirmed characters

Besides the phantom could be a assist trophy in disguise

All in all, we got 8 characters in 6 months this year since the reveal trailer. Considering that during the first year after the Brawl reveal we got only one character (Fox), this is a pretty big improvement.
I think we'll have at least another 7 characters before E3, when there will probably be a newcomer blowout to hype **** up close to the release (hoping for August).
I'm still hoping we'll reach that 50 slot roster. We can do it Sakurai, come on.

I don't think so, probably going to be King Dedede or MetaKnight.
I would like to have at least a newcomer before E3, but more than one is improbable imho.

20 characters so far. Seems awesome. I'm betting we will reach at least 25 by e3 (4+ veterans, 1 newcomer?) Then 2-3 vets at e3 and a newcomer or two also, and then following the months between e3 and release 2-4 more reveals.
Honestly I'm expecting 3/5 of the roster revealed before release.

I'm happy to see Sakurai is changing Zelda's moveset up, but maybe they should focus on changing the moves of another Zelda character...
