Well, Olimar was revealed before Pikmin 3's release date... Sonic doesn't really count since he's a Direct reveal who wasn't even shown on the release of the game as far as I know, just within the same month... Luigi was shown for no reason other than to celebrate the Year of Luigi, and Marth wasn't chosen for any particular reason. The only characters who got shown on releases were Toon Link and Olimar.

Luigi was to represent Mario & Luigi Dream Team. Also Toon Link's release was showing off a digital release. Not sure if that counts.

I call Christmas "Commercial Day" because of various reasons I will not get into due to it being irrelevant. Christmas is very much about commercialism in the USA. Its a big market and Sakurai should keep that in mind.

Hyping Nintendo for the holiday season should be done BEFORE christmas though. Which is what I felt the rosalina reveal did. Good way to get people to scoop up galaxy or 3d world to see what she is all about.

Well who knows. Maybe Starfy's NOT an assist trophy. But that means either someone was high on something and made him a pokeball outcome, OR he appears with Yellow Devil as a stage hazard. Worth noting though, Yellow Devil is ALSO a yellow character.

But yeah no. No character page, no announcement as a character, no poster, no trailer, not a new character.

Anyway Assist Trophies look so much better than in Brawl. They actually blend with the playable characters instead that being instantly recognizable.

yea wtf, they are even on the megaman stage, thats a huge missed opportunity imo, but as hazards and ATs are both likely random its probably tough to pull off

I'm more burned by this then I thought. Circle vs. Star: Battle of the Shapes. Hero of the Stars vs. the Star Prince of the Sky Sea.



Actually, it probably has more to do with the other Assist Trophies who didn't make the jump. I always felt that ATs should introduce us to obscure heroes then graduate them to playable next game. If Starfy couldn't make the leap, who else missed out?
