So far, I'm liking the Wii U stages a lot more, but I'm impressed by the 3DS stages nonetheless. It just goes to show the 3DS isn't as a weak as most people think. However, I'm not as impressed by this particular stage as I am by, let's say, the Super Mario handheld stage. I just think that this stage is a little too.....simple, for my tastes. I can't say it's on par with the standards of what a glorious Rainbow Road stage could be. Still, it's a cool stage nonetheless, and I might have some fun playing on it in the future. Good thing I'm getting both versions......FOR ALL THE STAGES!!!!

Well to be fair its a moving stage like Mute City or Big Blue or whatever, so theres still a lot more to the stage.

Just a confirmation of a returning Final Smash would be good. Like, I want to see Triforce Slash or Volt Tackle, or even Peach Blossom.

I just hope there's Rainbow Road for theWii U too This one's RR7 and the one in the trailer was RR64 (Probably with the updated MK8 Retro-track look)

I'm pretty sure that the rainbow road in the picture is straight out of MK7, so I'm thinking that unless MK8 drops on the wiiU far prior to SSB4 we won't be seeing rainbow road on WiiU

As some have ben saying, we might get a Zelda reveal on December 26, which is when A Link Between Worlds is released in Japan. At least I think that's when the game releases there.

It's a decent possibility, but it could be a bit too soon. But then again, it's Sakurai. So I'm gonna hope for it.

I think the weird part of that was Toon Link being revealed after Peach. I mean, Sonic was October's reveal. We already had Peach, but then they just decided Toon Link several days later.

I don't understand what you mean. For me, the "weird" reveal was Peach indeed. They showed her for a random reason, while almost all the other characters were shown because one of their games was going to be released shortly. Marth and Peach are the exceptions, the first one probably because November didn't have any new game with a character to attach. Peach instead...

Well, on the subject of Christmas being significant for a reveal, yes. Christmas has become completely international and it is kind of a big deal everywhere. Nintendo considers the Western fanbase important (Although Sakurai doesn't seem to care for the game's fans).

That's not what I asked, I wanted to know if Japan celebrates Christmas like America & Europe do or if they don't like I read multiple times in these days.

I agree with simon, people should have the "christmas spirit" everyday not just for one day, cause being nice for one day and being a jerk the rest of the year is just plain stupid.

Anyway have you seen all the maketing and commericals? It's commerical. And i'm not broke and im not bitter.

It's growing in Japan up to the point were they starting acknowledging it, but it isn't as big as it is here. We'll get a little nod tho, I mean we did just get a "happy holidays" from him. Don't expect anything big though, it'll probably just be present crates.

I know its in their nature, but I can't help but feel that way, if only for 3 seconds they'd show some kindness and stop thinking about themselves... but no.

If I had to guess they knew they were going to show off Rosalina a couple of weeks after Super Mario 3D Land, but then realized it would be weird to show of screenshots of Rosalina and not have Peach in there somewhere. so they just picked a random day and plopped her in.

Saying prefer Wii U/8's RR is such an understatement that it physically causes me harm to even entertain the thought of that abomination getting a stage. I cannot be happier that MK7 got the stage to showcase post-Brawl Mario Kart games and not the other way around.

If we HAD to have a Wii U MK stage that wasn't advertising MK8, I would prefer Bowser's Castle in a general/Smash-specific design like Mario Circuit in Brawl. Hell I would be sastified with that coming back as a Past Stage (provided the graphics were updated to match Smash 4's artstyle).

Well, Olimar was revealed before Pikmin 3's release date... Sonic doesn't really count since he's a Direct reveal who wasn't even shown on the release of the game as far as I know, just within the same month... Luigi was shown for no reason other than to celebrate the Year of Luigi, and Marth wasn't chosen for any particular reason. The only characters who got shown on releases were Toon Link and Olimar.
