So, ignore a mere fraction of the total games he's been in?Sure let's ignore all the games where he was actually different as well as his own games.
I mean really, Luigi for the most part is just "Player 2 Mario". In some games, he's deviated a bit to jump higher and have less traction, and in rare cases, fall slower, though he's no different from Mario otherwise in those games.
In non-platformers, Luigi is the near exact same as Mario or slightly deviated (such as using electricity instead of fire in the first M&L).
The only thing that is not deviated from Mario's abilities is the Poltergust. But that's not much.
