If that's what you thought regarding why Toad had low chances then you're getting it wrong.

The big hitter is because of how Sakurai looks at him. He's a meat shield in his eyes. It's been like that for 3 games already (Including this one).

I actually really want Rosalina or Bowser Jr now if Toad truly is out.

I think seeing as classic Mario is pretty well repped.

Perhaps it's time to have modern Mario repped with a playable character instead of a stage.

Bowser Jr could be pretty fun if he primarily uses his paintbrush instead of just being a mini Bowser clone. That and maybe even give him Shadow Mario as a transformation and you got a pretty unique and fun character.

I was so fooled, but then I realized that there was no challenger banner. I still hope that the next Mario rep is Toad (blue), but I have a feeling that the Mario representation is going to be limited to Mario, Luigi's, and Bowser.

Yes, I meant King Boo. There's no need to add the word King when I'm clearly referencing Luigi's Mansion and him being the final boss in both. It's kind of inferred.

There's always the oh so shocking possibility that we don't get any Mario newcomer, like in Brawl.

If anything, I would have preferred Toad over generic princess number three, tiny Bowser with a paintbrush, and Mario's Game & Watch counterpart.
There's nothing wrong with it how it is, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser. Plus Yoshi and Wario as the side series guys.

They were wanting either of those things. I really dont get it myself. Toad is beyond boring and uninteresting.
