Also, bumpers are hilarious, best item by far. Hopefully AI still just walk right into them over and over again; that's the best part about them. Flippers were lame and mostly non-disruptive. This is nothing but good news.

Anyways, I must say, that Bumper is gorgeous. ^^ They really makes the Smash-exclusive items noticable. I love that. I wonder what the rest of the Smash Items will look like.

The designers went overboard, that comment is hilarious! Good to see the return of an old favorite. I can already see the hilarity ensue when you trap someone between two bumpers again!

And we're not getting the Flippers back, eh doesn't bother me. Those things were worthless anyway. More of an annoyance than anything else.

The blade will be shaped like the Smash logo.

I love how all the Smash original items are getting re-designs to make them stand out more. Can't wait to see the Beam Sword. Also, that bumper now looks a lot more like one you would see in an actual pinball game. Something about the color of it.

I wouldn't mind if they actually resembled swords. You know, a defined edge, and pointed tip. Melee had it, but it looked odd there. Maybe because it looked like some sort of retractable laser katana attached to a flashlight.

Here's the back side of the Bumper. There's way too much detail put into the side you can't really see. The designers really went overboard.

YES! I loved the bumper! So much better than the flipper. That thing was boring and was nothing more than a slight annoyance. The bumper actually sends people flying and causes hilarity! :D

Hooray! The bumper looks pretty cool here! Kinda hoping throwing them doesn't have the uber knockback Brawl had though. Kind of defeated the purpose and fun imo.

I would've made the Flipper work more like the Bumper to be honest. At least they represent a Nintendo franchise, Balloon Fight. There are too many original items which never appeared in any Nintendo game, imho.
The redesign is okay.

Nice to see the bumper back, excellent new design as well too. One thing id like to see though is that hopefully it is lit up, say for instance on a night stage or something that it would glow or flash like real pinball bumpers do.
