To be honest, I always imagined that the % meters would show up on the touch screen.

I do admit that Kikwi's mock ups are pretty damn close, but like I said, it was a easy guess.

Anyway, the touching the screen to highlight a character could be quite convenient indeed.

Heh, looks pretty similar to this mock up I made.

Besides the grey space at the bottom should have been black. Then again, I guess it was kinda obvious the bottom screen would have looked something like this during gameplay after seeing some of the earlier screens.

Also, nice to know about this reticle feature. Could be pretty useful.

I don't believe the Palutena leak, but that picture was quite a while ago, could have been a much older version that didn't have the 2nd screen implemented, it its defense.

I think there are only like 2 of us left who don't believe it. Though Mario's model seems to have problems in the picture with Ike too haha.

It's nice to finally have the bottom screen view officially confirmed. It's about what I was expecting, but I can't see the targeting feature getting much use. Hopefully we see more of the mode selection and other parts of the interface at or around E3.

The good news though is that, with as much as Nintendo is hyping up Smash Bros at E3, we can probably expect another character dump at least the size of that in the Direct. There's four Brawl starting roster veterans left () and we got four in the Direct () so it wouldn't be surprising if they simply knocked the rest of them out at E3. They might still show one of them off next week for ****s and giggles but I kind of doubt it now.

This would be ideal. But I'm kind of expecting Falco because we have had a dearth of Star Fox content.

Then there is also the question of between E3 and the 3DS version's release. If these final four Brawl starters are the last of the batch, would this mean that the 3DS version is pretty close to release? Or will Sakurai reveal a few more Brawl unlockables until then. Or will he just leave it at that until the game's release (with maybe one last newcomer if the game isn't coming out until a bit after August.) Oh and then there is Snake...

I think they will save a few veterans to reveal in the gap between the Direct and the 3DS release date (a two month-gap, perhaps?). I suppose the upcoming Direct will be the last one featuring newcomers, though. If there are more newcomers beside the one(s) to be announced in a few days, they will probably be unlockable characters.

I feel like this too. The gap between Diddy and the Direct was a little more than a month and half and the gap between the Direct and Ike was a little less so I could easily see them not saying anything before the 3DS games came out. April was largely a month of stalling for time and just repeating info shown in the Direct so I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if June and July turned out to be rehashing stuff shown at E3. Sakurai's no stranger to stalling so I don't doubt his capacity to not show anyone new until the end of the summer after E3.

I'd say 6/10 is pretty fair. A couple of interesting things, but nothing that really wowed me.

At least the wait until next week will be bridged my Mario Kart 8! Might make the wait for E3 easier.

But I noticed that the Revival Platform here, the one DK stands on, slowly turns Yellow, so here we can see how this thing works. ^^ Now, DK drops from the Platform when it's yellow, not red, but that's most likely cuz' the player pressed down to get off early.

Also, the game really looks Quick compared to Brawl in that Gif. ^^ And in other footage. I do hope the 'hardcores' will accept this. I wanna see plenty of Competetive battles, like in Melee. Only, with ALL characters.

You do realize it can go father than last time, besides that was really long distance so harder to hit the target so at close range probably far more accurate.
