We should keep in mind that Sakurai probably has a pic schedule that doesn't get affected by leaks (For example, he didn't reveal Lucario right away when he was leaked back in Brawl)
So I think that he has a spreadsheet with the Pics of the next weeks, with this week being the "Game Mode and Menu Showcase" Week; if my guess is correct, the next week will be a totally different one. Let's hope for an "Announcement/Reveal" week

Overall a rather lackluster week, topping it off with information we've already known since June. It's a bit hard to complain though since we basically had an unofficial confirmation for 12 characters, so there's still been more than plenty to discuss.

Wow....Just ****ing wow! This week is officially the absolute worst week ever in the history of PotD's! Hopefully this is the LAST filler we shall ever receive for I feel it is now time to go ahead and reveal all the good **** because why not? On that note, what Mii lookalikes do you intend on beating the ever loving mess out of in Multi-Man Smash?

This race to 1k is amusing, also I seriously hope we get a character reveal for the Direct. Like I can't see no one getting revealed, and my money's on Shulk, although maybe we'll get a 2x reveal combo.

Two new tracks were added to the music section of the website. "Green Greens Ver. 2" from Kirby's Dream Land and "Try, Try Again" from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.

Or was this added yesterday and I totally missed it?

EDIT: Just did a quick search on the thread and found out they were released on Wednesday. Dang.

I'm torn with the Direct thing, as he could have easily mentioned it in the caption (even just the Japanese one) of the PotD if he really wanted it to be watched. Him retweeting it could just be courtesy, it's just a Nintendo-thing after all, and nothing Smash-related could happen. Ah well, we'll see in a few hours.

Well, no. You don't complain for the One Direction dudes though, which, trust me, are far better people than Francis I.
He just looks nice and prefers to hide all the problem of the church instead than proudly show them like Ratzinger did.

Today's PotD was VERY lame. We already knew this, Sakurai!

Anyways, that PAX press conference and Sakurai retweeting that Nintendo Direct thing gives me hope we'll see something new today.
