I haven't been keeping up, but the last time I heard, zyth beat nom and IC.

The tournament eligibility standards are bad for two reasons:
1: What if you had 7 PR players in a $5 bracket? It "wouldn't count" because there were not 8 players in attendance. Bad guideline. Of course the tournament would still be looked at because the eligibility requirements have never been strictly followed.
2: Most PR'd players are not playing for the money. It's all about the glory. Having a 50-man bracket where the winner earns a trophy is just as much motivation as money is. That was in fact the entire reason that myself, JZ, and Blake entered Kzoo 7.
Kzoo smash results are very important in ranking west MI players against each other. Every PR'd West Michigan player has entered at least one. Overall placement doesn't mean much because some of the tournaments were seeded poorly, but ignoring set counts would be foolish. Alas, It's not really a big deal and I don't expect the PR panel to be above foolishness.
However, Ponyo and Kzoo 9 should be considered (lightly) even though we are missing a bracket (both were $5). To be fair, only the top few placements at these events have been notable and we have all of the important set counts.

I won a Chicago tourney on the 6th. Beat CaptainFaceRoll in 2 sets, HK, and ORLY. They obviously don't count because there is no bracket or results thread.

Yeah, that bracket was incredibly stacked. Making it to winner's/grand finals is no small feat.
