Actually the Law of Large Numbers is only meant to be applied to statistical averages with randomly varying results, such as rolling a 6-sided die. This isn't quite the same thing as the character choice is affected by variables that aren't of a random nature.

However.

From sociological standpoint, Metaknight will continue to win the most tournaments whether he is the best character or not, due to his large number of advantages and popularity. Those characters that are "good" against him are nowhere near as popular, thus Metaknight players who may not even have been of skill high enough to achieve success under normal circumstances, recieve an advantage in hopefully never having to play a bad matchup in the tournaments they enter.

From a more personal standpoint, I believe Snake requires a great deal more time, practice and skill to play as than Metaknight no matter which is the better character. I think it only makes sense though that in this context, you could quite easily say Metaknight is the better character since a character that is not only a very powerful choice, but also very easy to pick up should be considered a great buff.

Its too bad we dont have a character to control metaknight, maybe in the future when the tides change. After all in melee foxes actually couldn't beat peach for a time
