Things have really picked up in here over the past day, and sure enough, news! I'm not overly confident we're going to get a huge reveal given the content of the Direct is more general, but who knows. I'd of course like to have Skull Kid revealed tomorrow so we can rest a lot easier, but if he is NOT shown off during the Smash portion, the important thing to remember is he will have lived yet another day and another Direct.

Let's just say that if Skull Kid gets revealed, I'll sleep like a rock for a very long time. I already got K. Rool, and to get Skull Kid would quite literally be my two most wanted characters in all of Smash history. After being part of the K. Rool fan-base for so, so long (Ridley fans can surely relate), I know how it feels the moment he is revealed. I want to be able to experience that a 2nd time with the SK fan-base!

Yeah. Hopefully he makes it tomorrow. If not, hope we don't see him as an AT again or a boss like people have been claiming and we have another day to fight on

Thankfully for me the direct will be in the afternoon so I'll be able to witness and cherish it live. I still remember the K ROOL announment where my bed turned into a punching bag.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Pokémon rep, personally. They've delayed that bombshell for quite a while now, and surely there'll be a new rep for the franchise. Needless to say, I definitely agree with this. They've got a lot to explain about the online services for one thing, and a half an hour isn't necessary a very long time to cover much else; I expect things to be pretty touch 'n go.

Depends on how many characters are left and how many reveal opportunities are left. Since Smash isn't the main focus, I expect only a unique and an echo, but we'll see if Smash gets a big time slot or just a trailer dropped at the end.

I've been really paying a lot more attention to Majora's Mask related stuff recently, and I'm reminded how much I do love the game, the atmosphere of the game, and all of the wonderful fan stuff that has come out of it. The music of Majora's Mask is especially wonderful in all of its creepy glory to listen to.

As cool as I think Skull Kid is, I think I want him in as more of a representative of Majora's Mask and what an incredible game that is. Skull Kid just happens to represent that tone perfectly with his creepy mannerisms and overall vibe.

He's certainly shot up my list from about #7-8, to a strong #5 most recently as a result (And those other four are just damn near impossible to dethrone in my mind). So I really hope he gets his day tomorrow as a fan Majora's Mask. I know it would make a lot of people happy too.


I also know that Majora's Mask 3D was made after fan demand, so I've started to believe the fan demand for that may have influenced Sakurai to bring in Skull Kid as a representative despite him maybe not doing so well on the ballot. That's just been my working theory recently, but let's see what happens.

I for one am not expecting anything for certain, we could get NO reveals for all we know, but keep in mind character reveals don't necessarily take that long. More than one wouldn't be impossible.

Been pretty big fan of Majora's Mask for years now, and while I'm not necessarily been too interested on Skull Kid, I hope the very best wishes on your way for him to be our first unique LoZ-newcomer after more than a decade. If so, I hope his moveset could interest exploration on already rising star to hype me over like Villager did.

Anyway, keep your flutes close. Now to play the waiting game...

With online functionality being introduced, there’s a chance custome stage-making could be introduced as something shareable online (a la Super Mario Maker). Hope that gets a good revamp - I would love to make a Lost Woods stage filled with teleporting hollowed-out logs that move you throughout the space quickly (and unpredictably).

Even though I am supporting Shantae at the moment, I am also a huge fan of the Zelda series, and Skull Kid is one of my favourite characters to appear throughout the whole franchise. I think he would be a very fun addition to a roster in dire need of a new Zelda rep!

Especially with 35 minutes in a direct I think we will be pleasantly surprised. I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility for two trailers. Sakurai has blown us out of the water before. Tomorrow will be no different
