If NEO doesn't lose, he'll place pretty high. So what's Shaya's tech improvement these days? He's inspiring me to like study frame by frame.

Well, not with the current Marth players we have and with MK being legal.

I don't want to be pessimistic, I just don't think it's possible at this point in time.

No surely not, most of our Marth's representing us at Apex didn't do aswell as they could.

We surely have the potential to do it, especially with our match-ups and current metgame techniques (our grab and spacing game, setups, conditioning), it comes down to experience.

We need to work at these match-ups, especially Pikachu, Snake, and MK (not many people have Pika experience.

Like many characters there is the one stand alone person. There are pikachu pros, then Anther, luigi mains, then Boss, MK mains then M2k etc.

Hey on the topic of the boards, anyone notice everyone is more subtle and friendly these days 0.o I mean it was always a place for help, but eevryhting is so easy going these days.

I also still think we should prepare anyway. There's never sucha thing as enough when it comes to being prepared. But shoo, we need to beat Snake's *** big time.

Yea i faced stealth and he makes me earn my ko's. He gave me a good grasp on the pika matchup tho and we go about even. (he bthrew me off the side of delfino once when i was about to 2 stock him and he won the match in the end with dsmash thunder h4x-.-)

Alright so heavy emphasis needs to go into improving our metagame. I know it has it's own thread, but NEO's Marth (no matter how much he knocks it) us the pinnacle, or **** near it, that we need to hit. Reading the opponent, emphasizing weaknesses, using our strengths (aka Marth's range and grab game) will greatly help.

Maybe we can post individually here, first identifying what you need help with your game, and then sharing tips with others.

Well I'm also in need of improving this, it's all about reaction. Running under SH aerials/Sh approaches really help. Obviously reading into patterns, and oh when the opponent ends up behind you. Just think it's either you can DB or grab, which one will serve best.

I also need work on making it safely to the ground, I'm literally just picking up Plat-dropped aerials, and stalling with DB.

Another thing I think that is important is recovery.

Mine's fairly decent, but it's hard to keep pressure off and get back onstage when facing a good gimper with Marth's mediocre recovery tools.

Lol we'll improve each other at this rate.

Well one I know oyu have to learn:
a) Great DI (Basscleft's DI got amazing, I have to ask him how he practiced it)
b) Conserving your double jump
c) Using DB to mixup speed and timing
d) Recovering fairly low

I'm strongly considering playing wifi soon. I've said this before, but now I mean it. I'm gonna put original music back on my wii for now, and change it for tournaments or if I just get bored of wifi. I need to get my wiimote back from my friend first >_>

I've recently come to realize that wifi is a great way to practice matchups and DI. My spacing is currently really good but it really doesn't mean shxt when I can't live through basic stuff and can't play against certain characters just because my area is so limited.

a) Gotta improve on this.
b) I should work on this a bit.
c) I'm good at this, I can use it to get a good height boost too, which helps me recover from far away.
d) I'm decent at this.
