Okay First things first, I'm not a doubles player.
But I still am curious about how the Marth community feels about teams and partners.
Therefrore, I will make this thread and a new one every week, with a new character every week.
At the end of the week, I will sum up how the community feels about the partner.
Week 1:
META KNIGHT
How do you feel marth works with meta as a team?
What are the strong areas and what are the weak ones?
I expect some feedback, so please share your thoughts!!
It's not the end of the week or anything, but I'll start writing the overview.
LOTS OF FEEDBACK IS STILL NEEDED, SO DON'T THINK I'M DONE!!
Strengths:
-The two can destroy most opponents with ease, marth can cover for MK's lack of killing power and also get the opponent off stage so that MK can edgeguard.
-MK's moves can create openings for marth's stronger ones, such as shieldbreaker or for a Dancing blade or Dolphin Slash.
-MK can go offstage and **** while Marth stays back to dominate the other partner with his 1 on 1 skills.
-Marth can cover up for MK in the killing department, allowing MK to SPAM SPAM SPAM without worrying about how he's going to kill his opponenet
-They both dominate in 1 on 1, when split up (They each take one char) they can **** without getting in each other's way.
-After their godly edgeguarding has claimed one victim...(MK and Marth vs. 1 opponent should not be legal)
-They both have great offensive UPBs, priority, speed, punishers and power.
-They are both GREAT offensive characters, combined, they breakthrough anyone's defense
Weaknesses:
-Their recoveries may just get in each other's way if both are knocked offstage at the same time.
-MK normally has no trouble against projectiles, but when he is pressured to protect himself, he must also be concerned about not hitting Marth too.
-If they are not separated, most of their moves can interfere with each other's combos and what not.
-Both very Light and have no projectiles
FINAL OVERVIEW:
HOWEVER,
They can get in each other's way if not split up.
So basically, they OWN.
Compatability rating:
9/10

FINAL OVERVIEW:
XD You forgot Prince Edward Island, Manitoba, Ghouzou Province, and most areas of Hokkaido, but still very true XDThe two together **** so hard it's actually illegal in Alaska, Alabama, Tennessee, West Virginia, and North Dakota for the two to be in the same team.
HOWEVER,
They can get in each other's way if not split up.
So basically, they OWN.
