Marth chaingrab vs Lucas?

Hey, I got a huge problem winning against skilled Marths, the biggest problem I got is the grab. I usually try to avoid being grabbed as much as possible when I'm against Marth but sometimes he gets me and I loose like 60% of my life, sometimes less, sometimes more. It feels I try everything to get out of it, but perhaps I havn't.

The question is: How do I break Marths chaingrab if there is a way? :ohwell:

Dont choose FD. Choose Pirate ship or Norfair.
It's not just "dont get grabbed" its "dont get grabbed on the left side of a stage facing right on a huge platform."

After being grabbed, there's no escape. DI away from him as much as possible while rapidly mashing buttons. You will creep away from Marth a little bit each time. You will stilll take heavy damage on the large platforms, but the faster you button mash, the less pain you recieve. Also, when you think Marth is done with you, he WILL fsmash you. You can block this by DIing as far away as possible and timing a spot dodge perfectly.

If I'm only allowed to choose from the stages:
FD, BF, Smashville and Yoshi Island. Shall I take BF then, or? :>

Well, avoid Smashville and FD like the plague. The one platform in Smashville isn't static enough to really guarantee any kind of safety from a chaingrab, and the main platform is wide enough that he'll easy OHKO you. It's a bad matchup overall, but I personally would prefer BF since there's more you can do without having to horizontally line-up with him, therefore reducing the chances of being grabbed (although a single grab regardless will still heavily punish you, even on a platform often).

Yoshi's Island wouldn't be a bad second pick, but I personally can't stand the terrain.

all you can try to do is jump escape. mash whatever jump buttons you have. if he does the chain grab perfectly however, you won't get out. :( just like fighting IC. don't get grabbed.

Fortunately, people in this area aren't douchey enough to use this tactic. Everyone here has a common hatred towards MK (since a 12 year old uses him and always wins the tourneys by a long shot).

Online though, different story. I play a game of paranoia, keeping towards ledges and platforms.
