Marth: Best Character for Combos?

With Brawl's new system of play style, combos have really started to disappear in the game, almost to the point of being non-existant, especially with some of the slower characters like Ike. But Marth seems to have the better end of the stick here because of the way the character is set up-- wonderful aerials, dislocated hitbox, grabs and throws that are primarily for spacing, dancing sword side B, the makeup of his sword: alternating between tippers and normal hits helps to control the knockback of an opponent, and him being one of the faster (est?) characters in the game helps him to continue the combos before the opponent recovers. Combined with a good juggling game I think Marth has some of the most potential for killer combos, or atleast small strings of attacks that work well. Spamming fair may work for so long, but I think that if people build Marth's combo game that the constant string of Metaknights and Snakes winning tournies will be interrupted with a nice amount of Marth wins.

Any other thoughts on this?

marth has some insane combos if you consider how many times you can get hit before the enemy can touch you (ive been on the recieving and giving end of a few 0-death marth combo's :/ )

but as you describe it,
the best character for combos has to be lucario with the amount of chain grabs, tilts and aerials that chain into each other

as for killer combos, so many characters have them its hard to judge, i dont think marth has any guarantedd kill combos compared to the likes of DK's sibe b - fsmash or Ness side b - bthrow (lol)

Marth is quick and has range, can techchase well and can combo well. But because of his knockback, I'm reluctant to say he's the best at comboing. Look at a low% Lucario, he's a combo demon because he can dish out attacks that wont send you flying or give you a chance to fight back. Characters like Jigglypuf are also pretty good at keeping you in an uncontrollable state because of their attacks causing little knockback.

Marth isn't even about combos really.
Yes, I know that right now he isn't about combos (what is the strategy other then spam fairs in openings?), but it seems like he has a lot of potential for them, up there with some of the best for combos.

I got a 0-death combo yesterday (I think). I may have hit him once before I started the combo. It was really fast. B-throw->tipped f-smash->spike which was delivered at 25% or so. ;D

for marth, you can do a short hop forward B starting the sword dance, then after the first hit do a uair (dont jump after hitting them with the forward B) then quickly jump up in the air and do a nair. you can also throw them downwards and do a sword dance combo.

I think a near-perfect Marth could own any other character, but the skill level of the players would have to be very high.

Sorry that tiara rest firmly on Sheiks head, unless you count the Ice climbers which I don't.

Sheik is one of the few characters that can do constant hit combos or real combos on every character in the roster, especially fast fallers like Fox, which might I add if done perfectly you can do over 50 damage in one continues combo.

11 hit combo, FTW
