Mario & Sonic at the Olympics

I'm excited for it. It's a dream come true for me, and for the majority of Sonic/Mario fans, despite it being an olympics game.

Well, April 1st will be over in 16 minutes down here in Dallas. Anyone who was waiting for an announcement that the game is fake today, it didn't happen, therefore the game is truly real.

Hopefully no more people will deny its existence.

As long as I see a Mario & Sonic vs. Bowser & Eggman match, I'm happy. REALLY happy.

Of course it isn't. Pulling an April fools prank about something you would sale is, well.. foolish. It can be found at Nintendo's website, so it's almost garunteed to be true.

It is no joke, I saw it on wikipedia. I was stunned, it proves Sonic can be in SSBB. It was really odd! NJK, is for real, and Miyamoto will head the team in making it.

Sonic, Mario, Luigi, Tails, Knuckles, and Yoshi are the only confirmed characters, A strange move, and it was called by the 2008 Olympic ppl in charge the official game of the 2008 Olympics in Bejiing, serious njk! If this isn't wierd, i don't know wat is!!!

Wow. Mario and Sonic in the same game... to think it could come to this, the legendary faces meeting in an Olympic Stadium. Why can't the universes join forces to take on some super bad guy? Why must we fight?

You know what I'd like to see? A 2D extra in the game where you use Sonic in an extended version of the Mushroom Kingdom level, and Mario in a shorted version of Green Hill Zone. A moment never to be forgotten...

Mario AND Sonic???? Holy ****x1000! They need to like an SSBS (Super Smash Brothers Sports) and this is a pretty small tip-toe towards that. Wario vs. Big the Cat 100 yrd dash lol!

This is defintely going to be odd. It even has the Olympic seal and approval. Odd, I really wonder about this one. It defintely improves Sonics chances for SSBB. As for the wiki thing I have yet to see it on the SSBB page. I know it is easy to mod, but I looked at other sites confirming this info. I looked it up on multiple places to confirm this all, and it all was reliable.

I really am wondering how this will play/work. Guess all Nintendo has left in Mario sports is the Olympic Games (*cough* and football). This is definetely going to be a odd situation. O well, it could be fun and intertaining (as Mario owns Sonic).

Well, assuming that this is for real, wikipedia(notorious for Misinformation) says Mario, Sonic, Luigi, Knuckles, Yoshi, and Tails have each been confirmed with more confirmations on the way.

I'm thinking:

Wario/Shadow
Waluigi/Rogue
Peach/Amy
Dasiy/Cream
DK/Big the Cat
Bowser/Robotnik


Just a guess.

Maybe:

The rest of the cast from Mario Party/ Tennis/ BaseBall/ Etc. and whatever characters Sega decides to make up or slap on this game. Either way i'm really looking forward to this.

Anyways with Bowser and Eggman, i see Eggman failing at most of the events and Bowser winning much of the Power type competitions. Also i heard Amy Rose was confirmed to be playable, but i didn't see her anywhere yet on a screenshot. Will Sonic & Mario characters be equal in number as well. Also, is anyone scared that Shadow will show up? I don't hate him, it i sjust i don't want this serious guy to be at a family-friendly game like the Olympics. It is just, that most likely Wario will make an appearence. And it seems with it matching, (Sonic=Mario Tails=Luigi, Knuckles=Yoshi?, Amy=Peach, Eggman=Bowser) what would be Sonic's rival in the game? I hope there is some variation of a story, even if it is as lame as Sonic & Mario was invited to the olympics. I'd rather have it something it starts with friendly introductions & competitions. But then i should see Eggman & Bowser somehow working together to make sure THEY are considered the winners. Which ends up in Sonic & Mario havingt o team up in events against Bowser's henchman & Eggman's robots. And a possible ending is that they defeat Eggman & Bowser in a final, last event. And as reward from the owner of the games, he gives BOTH Sonic & Mario a golden medal. Thus ending as friendly competitors, rather then fierce enemies.

I'm still completely meh to this game.

It seems like instead of doing a Mario Party title, they just added Sonic to the game and an Olympic tie-in.

It could be fun, but nothing I'm too excited about.
