Daisy: Seeds

The tomboy princess throws a garden of seeds into the air, they'll land in front of the first place (or second should Daisy be first) racer and create a few gardens of flowers on the asphalt with small gaps in each. Drive over the flowers and you'll be slown down. If Daisy gets into the garden she won't be slown down. also we could reuse this item for the steam gardener.

Waluigi: Mystery Mushroom

Waluigi eats a Mystery Mushroom and transforms into a random racer who is not in the race so he can use their signature item. He transforms back once the signature item's prescence is gone (so for example, if he turns into Ashley he'll turn back into Waluigi once the invisibility curse has not only been used but also expired) - he will still have Waluigi voice clips no matter who he's morphed into. (the only exception being any Waluigi variations we may add - a baby or metal Waluigi for example) Stats are not effected.

Toadette Special Item: Super Crown

In NSMBU's Switch port, they gave Toadette a unique item only she can take advantage of: the Super Crown, which spawned a horde of memes and R34 since its debut.

When Toadette gets this item, it's normally passive. However, if she falls off the track, she will immediately spend it, causing her kart to boost straight back to the track. This can also extend the duration of your glide-time, allowing you to avoid most items. Once you land on the ground after initiating a glide, the item will be immediately spent. Airtime is the name of the game with this item.

Should we add Peachette as a racer I think it'd be super cool if this item turned Toadette into Peachette and Peachette's special item turned her into Toadette. Though, if we don't add Peachette it should just leave Toadette intact because then you'd just end up with a fully modeled and animated racer nobody can play as.

If Peachette turned into Toadette, it'd be hard to tell whether a special item is active on the them or not. I don't think not having Peachette as a fully playable character would be that much of an issue as she's essentially a Peach substitute anyway, but that's just my take on it

I think just having a giant Super Crown float above Toadette-turned-Peachette and whatever item Peachette uses floating above Peachette-turned-Toadette would do the trick in making it clear whether she's using an item or not. Making it so custom colour schemes can apply to the transformation would also help.

When you select Cappy, you get the option to pick one of the many hats you can wear in Super Mario Odyssey. Clown hats, builder helmets, polygonal hats, samurai helmets, parka hoods, you name it, he'll wear it! A menu themed after the shops from Mario Odyssey will appear should you choose to change Cappy's appearance, almost similarly to Yoshi, Shy Guy, Inkling and Link in MK8D.
