I was going to buy a PS3 but then I realized I can't play any of my old PS2 games on it which is lame as hell. As much as I love the Jak & Daxter and the Ratchet and Clank series, I wouldn't buy a system just for that game. As for the WiiU, I'm waiting for more games to come out (possibly wait until smash 4 release date gets announced).

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Matador, hows PS Allstars? Is the game pretty decent? For example, I heard that the "final smashes" are hella unbalanced and the game-play gets real choppy and slow in some occasions.

It's fun... feels like more of a party game than Smash, in the sense that it's hard to try to take it seriously. There's far less depth and the movement is more restricted. There's combos, which are nice, but I anticipate most characters hitting their combo ceiling quickly.

The supers are somewhat balanced unless you're talking 1v1s, which I don't care for in this game. Some characters in general need some serious tweaking though (Kratos, mostly).

I haven't experienced the slow or choppy gameplay though. It's pretty smooth for me

@ Jimmy: I don't think developers realize how big of an asset backwards compatibility is. I'd gladly shell out more for a system that can play its predecessor's games.

The only thing I dislike about the Wii U is the lack of gamecube controller support. Everything else is flawless. (I'll probably start playing with a Classic Controller Pro for now to compensate, since I have to pick one up in order to play virtual console games anyway)

Though it sucks, it makes sense why the GC controller isn't usable. I would just use the pro controller.

You can't use the Pro controller on software that doesn't support it. So I can't use it for playing Brawl on my Wii U.

Yeah it'd be twitch. We're getting streaming equipment so we can stream a variety of stuff, but I'd let you guys know when we plan on streaming smash.
