Yep you just have to make sure you hit his body inside the nado. If you hit the outside of the nado then you lose AND you have RCO lag next time you land...

Mario has plenty of ways to beat nado. Problem is that you need to predict it.

Beating nado is the least of Mario's problems in the match-up though.

What Matador said. It's really not that hard to get around. Dair killing us at pretty much any % if he gets us off stage and the fact that he has tons of reliable options for getting us off stage makes this matchup hard just by itself… Not to mention the difficulty to punish his moves due to lack of ending lag on ANYTHING pretty much… There are lots of other reasons too...

I'm pretty excited, although I guess I might be going by myself. The smash tourney is Saturday. But there's also Skullgirls and Marvel and BlazBlue tournaments!

So, I should have fun even though I'm super shy. >_>

Also, Xero, are you trying to get out of that shell? Dont get me wrong, if you're happy the way you are, that's awesome. You're one of the lucky few.

But if you are trying to enhance your social skills a bit, I'm sure me and these other Mario clowns on this board can give you a story or two.

I didn't find out about this until Tuesday, so unfortunately I was unable to secure a cosplay. I wanted to go as Ragna the Bloodedge.

I'm going to play in pretty much all the game tournaments though, I'm almost guranteed to win Marvel, Skullgirls, and maybe BlazBlue.

And I'm just excited for it, I've never been to one before so I'm not sure what to expect. And luckily, I found some guys to go with me. I might try hitting on some chicks too, if there are any attractive ones. But yeah, I'm pretty damn quiet, don't let my online demeanor fool you.

Honestly, I actually have used the first Articuno one before... seriously, GREAT way to start a conversation. There's also an art to having a good, memorable conversation too... but for now, ice breakers and jokes.

Also, Ragna the Bloodedge? I've been off anime for a good two years (I really should jump back on that), Idk that character. And guaranteed in those three games?? Is this a smaller scene? What con is this?

It's Ikasucon, so it's a smallish con in a city that is nearby. But I'm pretty good at those three games, like top ranked in my state.

And I will totally use those if I can, lol. Don't worry, I've got my wingman prepared.

And BlazBlue huh? The closest I've gotten to that is I dabbled a bit once with Guilty Gear :/

And wingman?? Hm.... idk... just a difference in opinions I guess...

As far as getting numbers or facebook, I always tell em I'm gonna stalk em.

*After a few minutes of fun conversation*
"Alright, I'm gonna explore a bit more... here, put your number in there."
*Give my cell phone*
"You know, so I can call you super late at night and breathe heavy"

Also, later that night or the next night, shoot a text along the lines of
"Hey, how do you spell your last name? I'm trying to stalk your facebook and go through all your photos. I need this hint."

Idk man, chicks dig stalkers... I mean, seriously, don't really do that, I'm just saying, that's never failed to get a number or a facebook.

Actually I'm somehow pretty damn good with females so I should be good. Haha.

I usually don't even have to ask for their numbers, they'll either ask for mine or they'll find me on Facebook, which makes everything way easier.

How are you not guaranteed to win Smash at an anime con? I only ever lose to other people in the MD/VA tourney scene here, lol. Unless that may be the same case for you, I'm pretty sure you've got that covered as well as the other three, which is impressive, btw. I don't play Marvel or BlazBlue as much anymore, but I was sorta into Skullgirls for awhile. Solid game.

And really, don't worry about being shy at an anime convention. Trust me; of all places to just cut loose and be yourself 100%, that's the place. If it's anything like the cons I've been to, everyone is friendly as hell.

At least one guy from my local crew is just as competent in all the games I'm entering as I am, because we trained in all of those games together. He'll probably wreck me in BlazBlue honestly, but I can take him in Marvel pretty easily. He has more damaging combos than me in Skullgirls, but we usually go pretty even in that.

Lately I've been beating him in Smash too, but I'm not sure how jank the ruleset will be.

Im always myself and that's a very friendly person. That leaves me in the friend zone which is fine most of the time except when I actually wanna hook up/go out with someone. Honestly I have no game due to my friendly nature lol.

So at that anime convention I won a 32 man Brawl tournament. The ruleset was surprisingly legitimate. It was single elimination and best of 1, but it was 1v1 no items on good stages, and MK was banned. loooooooool.

I also won Skullgirls and Marvel. Would've won BlazBlue but we weren't able to get to it.
