Oh, yeah, sorry, newguy here. Just saw this is the Mario/general/social kinda thing, thought this'd be the best place to make my debut. Um... huge fan of both of you guys, Coolwhip and Flameleon... and Boss too, basically from what I've seen lurking YouTube matches and whatever FireMario149 puts up.
I guess Im new to the whole SSB thing too, only played Brawl and only played Mario. And uh.. what I expect out of all this, just hoping to get tips or advice when needed, learn a bit about the whole tourny scene (even the social etiquette), and hopin to be part of a decent community.
Basically, hope you guys'll mold me into the Ultimate Mario... or at least, you know, some kinda Mario that's kinda alright.

If you actually wanna go competitive and win, I suggest using a better character. We play for pride not for greed.
Ha, yeah, I got that understood. You kidding me? Anytime I lose a match, "Oh thats cuz you use Mario". Well, screw that! Dude, you know how good it tastes when I just rock some Marth or Toon Link or G&W and reply with, "That's cuz I use Mario"?
I'm trying to get more of that pie, dude. I think I've reached my limit, like, gone as far as I can with Mario ON MY OWN. And that's basically what I'm hoping to get out of this smash account and these forums. It's like Newton said, "If I have seen further, it is from standing on the shoulders of giants".

Anyone here want me to make them a combo video? I can almost guarantee 5,000 views on it. Probably, 2 minutes with IRL footage preferred. (Flame, I'm looking at you.) It doesn't have to be Mario. It can be any well known player really.

Um just curious Fire. Why are the videos that you post up on YouTube become rejected form NinBuzz? I see nothing wrong with them, they are exceptionally good! BTW I should play you Mario's here sometime, I've been here for a while and never got to play any of you. (Except Matador and TEB).

so after u guys Fthrow at 0% on floatys.....jus throw out a full hop fair....the chances of them hitting it are rare...but its better to have a chance at hitting then jus doing an Fthrow...lol
also fludd after Fthrow wrks also....
spam fireballs when at distance-
your Ftilt,nair,utilt,up-b are all godlike use them wisely-
dthrow up-b is amazing,even wrks for baiting airdodges-
pivot Fsmash is an INCREDIABLE tool,ive been abusin this move lately it helps me get alot of sweetspot Fsmashes,and it moves u out of distance,so your pretty safe-
double jab(backup throw a reverse fireball xD) double jab(grab) full jab combo double jab(Ftilt) all are amazing strings...
yea i was playing mario for about 6 hours straight...i think i leveled up about 4 times xD
my mario is amazing...but no where near godlike..
speed space and zone out your opponent...and have a little fun...it is a game afterall =]

Welcome to the Mario Boards (sorry for the late welcoming, lol) You seem to have great confidence man, I mean when I first started here, I felt all wimpy and useless (compared to the other Mario mains). Now, I'm a lot better, but I'm nowhere near as good as any of the other guys around here. Trust me, you'll learn alot here in the Mario boards. BTW Coolwhip, when SHOULD be a good time to dance? yea,then u spray them,and run at them...
when u get about mid range within your opponent....after u sprayed them.
their first reaction is shield or attack haha...
