well I expect there to be a bunch of good mario "users" but not mainers.
Just a random question am I the only one here that thinks seconding luigi is a dumb idea? Like they both get trashed by the same people.

Maybe so but Mario is defensive and Luigi is offensive, so in that respect they are a good compliment to each other. Plus, Luigi is so fun. And Mario just feels like I really accomplished something when I win. I have been learning Wario, Olimar, and Snake a little though. Just to understand how they work. I'm going to try to learn the entire cast. Even.... Metaknight. I just wanna know how they work so I can better know how to fight against them.
Also, I agree with Vato. Matador is mad good.

2Fast and Matador are really good Mario's. I'm still decent, I just can't make it out to that many tournies anymore

I agree with Matador and 2fast being amazing, but alas we will all be in the shadow of boss even if he did "quit" lol.

imo flameleon is bess mario, reason for me saying this cause he mix's up all of his options
with mario. I've watch mostly all of his videos & learn alot from him.

Yeah Im not going to lie, if I had to chose a mario to get a high place in a tournament it would be
Flame. He's so smart and he analyzes his opponent so well, plus he always knows the match-up. I think

Hey, have any of you gone online, because today, when i went to fight on basic brawl, the spectator mode option was gone, along with the online options. Does the same thing happen to any of you guys, or is spectator mode gone forever?

I've heard a rumor that the first Brawl discs that were sold had a glitch, the one described above.
You just have to wait, the options will come back.

Guys, guys. Viewtiful Joe is so good in MvC3. Seriously, I don't know why people are sleeping on him he has probably some of the best camping in the game, and his rushdown options are excellent when you have Tron assist to cover him. And with Wesker you can set up some mad easy unblockables. Not to mention he has an impossible to see overhead that leads into a 100% combo with 2-3 meter. FROMUNDAMAN WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME BEFORE? I picked him up for fun and was wrecking with him the other day at our scene gathering. I'm taking him to a tourney next weekend, lol. And then another tourney that also has brawl.
Speaking of which I'll be playing Mario at that tourney. Don't know how I'll do.

Noooooo, you're definitely not bad at all! Our matches were pretty close, for the most part.
You have a couple of habits that I picked up on, but overall you had me on my toes.
I couldn't dair you at all, lol. You upB'd sooooo much that I was scared to try half the time.

well, I saved replays of me getting ***** on seagull's wii(pool matches as far as i know) so hopefully he uploads them sometime this week or w/e. I had fun at my tournament. "seeding pools" so i got like 2nd to last seed in my pool losing to seagulls bowser/jiggs, Kingz's metaknight, Gio's metaknight and i beat Andman (olimar). So in bracket I played a person named Valorie, he used Falco on SV first game and 2 stocked me. CP'd Brinstar so he used MK and I got him to last stock but no dice, lost 0-2. Then I got a bye in losers. Then I played someone named tedium (i think) he also went Falco on SV but iirc I 2 stocked him with 223%. So he CPs me to battlefield and picks metaknight and then I ended up 2 stocking him again. Making it so I won the set 2-0. My next match was against WTP (WhatsThePoint iirc) he used snake and it was fairly close, though I think I could have played better but no johns but he won. So i CP'd PS1 and he went DK. I was doing so well up until the very last stock where I couldn't find a decent opening to kill him lol so I lose the set 0-2 and get knocked out of the tournament.
Pretty fun tournament either way (even though it went extremely slow for brawl). I got to have some funny *** item matches against sleek media and sadly I only played one mario ditto friendly match against condemned soul. Also I 1 dollar MM'd Luckay4Lyphe, and lets just say i lost a dollar and I must get back loll

Sleek looks like ace ventura pretty funny guy lol.
Condemned seemed cool, I only talked to him once this tournament though since he was playing melee somewhere and i don't really pay attention to the melee unless it gets hella hyped.
apparently Pittsburgh is full of MKs and Falcos soo w/e lol.
I'll be better next time.

Joe is mad good. Only problem is that he requires good tech skill, and I lack that... Dante also seems to cause problems.
Also, another fun team with Joe is Joe/Tron (obvious reasons)/Chris (Gun Assist). If you get them in a position where if you do end up hitting with a charged boomerang, you can swap between that and Chris assist to keep them from dashing away from it. The only thing they can really do to this is inv. super (Which I try to bait then six cannon and start again) or SJ.
Of course, Chris isn't really ideal for Joe/Tron, but he is fun and I'm trying to work on him since he works amazingly well on my other team (Cap/Skrull/Chris. Probably my best team atm. Cap is pretty underrated. Don't get me wrong, he's not a good character, but not for the reasons people think. He has some horrible MUs, but otherwise he's damn good, ESPECIALLY with this team, in which a single hit leads to a 100% on most of the cast that ends in like 8 different possible Skrull resets if they survive. BTW, JSYK, Skrull is amazing. People are starting to see that, but he is still way underrated. He is seriously so freaking good.).
I'm guessing you go Joe/Tron/Wesker? What BnB do you use? Is it the one FlashMetroid does?

Is it weird that I do better against MK's than most other characters? Like no joke. I do really well against MK, and not so well against like Falco, etc. Oh and I'm getting pretty good against Snake. Hm.... I'm a weird one. Also I don't think Marth is that hard.

Can some one please explain to me why there aren't "true combos" in brawl? What do people mean by this?

since MK is the most popular character in NA you probably know the matchup a ****load more than a MK would know the mario matchup. Falco is just an ***
and play better marths.my guess is that almost anything can be SDI'd out of and there isn't enough hitstun to actually do legitimate combos.

^^ thanks, I always was afraid to ask. Oh, and XeroXen, I read your thread on using Mario's Super Jump punch and your right, It feels so good when you Up B people, and excellent for spacing, although it can be punished hard for not landing the hit.
