Okay, let me do this for kicks:

My name is Louis Bui. I am Vietnamese (in before "no **** Sherlock"), and 14 years old. I am a scrub and Otaku/geek that refuses to play Meta Knight. I played Melee only casually (but without items because we never liked them?) as Link. I met Marth after finishing Classic Mode and meeting the requirements to unlock him. His speed and questionable attire made me intrigued by him and I started to learn Marth (even though a lot of people told me Roy was better, ha).

My playstyle revolves around spacing incorrectly, spamming Dolphin Slash, losing, breathing, laughing, glidetossing, and using short hop Dancing Blade for kicks in friendlies. I am so pro mirite?

I also have no sense of spacial positioning and am also known for short term memory loss.

If the self proclaimed loser of all losers aka VietGeek is doing it, I guess I should too. XD

I played all three smash games. I never really played a lot of video games but if I got hooked on one I played it for a long time. (quality over quantity!!!)

I had what I consider a noob and pro mindset mix in that I realized true skill is determined without items, 1v1 stock matches, but still a noob in that I considered things like spamming "cheap," and couldn't accept people who were better than me. This attitude probably held me back from competitive smash for the longest time. Basically I was a real sore loser back in the day for some reason, probably a result of all the sports I played.

Anyway in melee I was a "good" noob capable of beating people who knew wavedashing all the tech things, and as a result I was literally undefeated among my casual friends. However, I met a friend when I started the new school year, who knew a little something about competitive smash. And since I was a little wiser, I realized all these "glitches" were amazing, and should be learned.

Then, my friend made me main Marth, and I did. Later moved onto Fox, but in Brawl release Fox was so awkward in the beginning, I tossed him aside for Ike and Marth. After a while I abandoned Ike and as such main Marth and random cast of secondaries. And I'm arrogant enough to say I'm the best in my school although that's not saying much X(.

Edit: Playstyle, If I had one I forgot what it was, because I got nobody in walking distance and as such I'd rather just think about how to play rather than waste my time playing cpu's and noob lil' bro. The only time I turn on the game is to keep my spacing from getting rusty, to try out something I thought of, or to occupy my boredom.

As such this coming fall I'm really planning to break out, into the tourney scene.

My name's Matt, I'm 16, and my Smash name is PD (Go figure lol). I'm from Long Island and I'm relatively new to competitive fighters, although I have played Pokemon competitively and still kinda do, ZMT knows that lol. I also play Magic: The Gathering competitively although recently have taken a little break.

I play a really defensive Marth, making use of d/f tilt to keep them away and spacing with retreating f-airs. I'm not that good, though, but I hope to get better.
Hold on.... my name's Matt, I'm from about the same area, I used to play pokemon and magic competitively...

You're not gonna tell me you're a martial arts addict as well are you?

Thanks, Ike is solid for making this thread.
I've been reading the boards the past few days, and I made my account yesterday,
so this was pretty perfect timing for me.:)

Anyways, I've mained Marth since melee, but I didn't get too serious about smash until brawl came out. I've been maining him for as long as i can remember, and its definitely not because of tiers, I didn't even know what a tier list was before brawl.

Anyways I'm a pretty frequent player, I play nearly everyday for long amounts of time, and I want to keep improving, which is the main reason I started going to smashboards.

I'm trying to get a good video to upload, so hopefully in the next couple weeks I can get a video up of my Marth.

Thanks again for this thread.:)
