Goddammit, Duderino! Don't go one-upping me right before I'm about to finish my best moveset! That's just... like. Not very nice of you!

Lightning strikes nearby.

The world of anime.

Fictional universes constructed on a ground of Eastern idealism.

Universes in which the power of love prevails, hope is the last thing to die, and the good guys always have the stronger kung fu in the end.

Truly, these universes tell stories that could only be meant for children or an older audience desiring some comfortable escape from our sad, grey real world.

Or do they?

What if there was a man living in our world who embraces these ideals, living a life in which the power of love prevails, hope is the last thing to die, and in which his kung fu is always stronger in the end?
But surely, that cannot be real, can it?

Challenger approaching...!

Ike

drawn by me, colored by the lovely Reyairia

Ike is the protagonist of “Demon Days – a divine comedy”, a webcomic planned to be illustrated by me and written by and myself with the help of Drascin.

An otaku and videogame freak with an attitude like a hurricane personified, he receives an extraordinary task that will shape his fate in ways in ways that no human would dare to dream of...
What is this fate?
Well, if I just told you, this wouldn't be shameless advertisement anymore, now would it?

[table of content goes here]

Stats:

Strength:
3.5/10 – Ike isn't brawny at all, but what he lacks in mass, he makes up for in skill.
Weight:
3.5/10 – He's very tall, but also mildly underweight.
Attack speed:
5/10 – His moves all have a balanced amount of lag either before, during or after the attack.
Range:
7.5/10 – But he kinda makes up for that in attack range thanks to his long limbs.
Ground speed:
7.5/10 – He could dash faster than almost anyone else, but prefers not to for the ability to come to a stop.
Jump:
7/10 – He can also jump pretty high.
Aerial speed:
3/10 – Jumping on the spot makes him unable to gain a lot of horizontal distance, though.
Fall speed:
7.5/10 – Especially because he also falls more quickly than others. However...
Dashing jump speed:
7.5/10 – Jumping out of a dash makes him fly like a bird!

Judging by these, he appears to be somewhat average. However, he also has a bunch of...

Quirks:

1.Parcour

Ike has a history of getting himself in trouble ever since he could walk. After getting involved with the underground scene of his home city, his potential for mischief skyrocketed, and he soon turned escaping from disgruntled elders into an art form. The name of the art he has learned is “parcour”, along with its close brother “free-running”.
Mastery of these skills makes him quite the agile fighter. While his speed is well below the true speedsters of the game, he has a few very unique tricks up his sleeve.
Ike suffers practically no lag after his aerials as he always manages to land right on his feet.
He gets up insanely quickly from the ledge or from a knocked down position.
Performing ukemi/teching will immediately cause Ike to land on his feet, without a get-up animation or roll.
While he's quite light and sort of easy to hit, these skills make him crazy hard to combo and greatly enhance his ability to inflict crazy combos on his opponents!

2. Helper
You're probably wondering who is accompanying Ike in that picture. Well, it's none other than the great Babbit from Kodomo no Omocha! Wait, what's he doing here?
Since Ike is a “normal” human being, he's not normally at home in a computer game.
Playing Subspace Emissary will reveal that a strange being with the power to manipulate transfers of data on the internet has allowed him to digitalize and enter Brawl to join the common cause our heroes are fighting for – whatever that may be!
In battle, this creature, whom I will call a “helper” for the purposes of the moveset, constantly follows Ike around as well as it can to try and assist him!
What you are seeing is not the creature's true form – it's just shape it took to be able to fly and fit into the environment. It also possesses two other standard forms.
One such form is that of Navi from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, except without the obnoxiousness. The elusive third form evokes the image of a beautiful white dove named Tiqvah, who originates from a story nobody has read yet...
But what determines which form the helper takes?

3. Moods
Unlike any other character, Ike shows some real emotion on the battlefield!
Depending on his surroundings, he will eagerly show his mood in his entrance, idle stance, taunts, victory pose and of course his face. His helper also changes form depending on how Ike feels. Their ability to fight remains perfectly unchanged in any case, so this is quirk is really just there to be awesome.
The main factor determining his moods is the music, and of course the stage the battle takes place on.

I. Happy
Depending on what you like to play Brawl like, this might be the mood you'll encounter Ike in most often; and that can't be a bad thing, can it?
Happy, funny or just plain weird music is obviously the main thing that makes Ike act happy. However, it's also greatly influenced by the number of enemies he has to face, as well as the item settings. A 4-way FFA with items on is quite certain to give you one cheerful Ike no matter what the music or stage are.
The helper takes on his Babbit form. Perfect for sarcastic commentary!

II. Hot-Blooded
While it's similar to happiness, this mood shows just how much Ike has been craving for adventure all his life. His eyes are filled with determination!
Most songs that don't fall under the categories above are likely to make him feel plucky. Rock, metal, heavy metal, even some death metal will fire up his fighting spirit!
This mood is also more likely to show up during duels or in team battles in which Ike is outnumbered. See also: Hot-Blooded on TVTropes.org
The helper shows up in Navi form. Triforce of Pluckiness!

III. Serious
Ike is concentrated fully on the battle. He breathes calmly and wastes not a single motion. His determined eyes observe his opponent's every movement, waiting for his chance to strike. This sudden seriousness... is there more to this boy than one would expect at first?
This is a rare mood to find Ike in, and so it is in the game. Only few songs and environments will trigger this in him, and even then, having a single item turned on, or fighting a particularly weird opponent will be enough to ruin the ominously solemn dignity that is required to encounter this young hero in his most purely badass form. See also: Tranquil Fury on TVTropes.org
The helper shows up as Tiqvah, the white dove of hope.

Now let's get to the meat of the moveset.

Battle Stuff!

Let's deal with all the aspects that are affected by Ike's moods.

But first:

Entrance:
Both Ike and his helper materialize in the game world in a bright light , materializing first as wireframes, then colorless models, then a complete but motionless model. Finally, Ike swipes his hand in front of himself, then goes into his appropriate idle position.

I.Happy

Expression:
A light-hearted smile sits snugly on his face.
Idle pose:
Both feet set a certain distance apart on the ground, he stands loosely, letting his arms dangle back and forth. His whole body is in motion. Looks like he's excited! Idling for a moment will make him gaze around curiously or stand still for a moment to listen more closely to the music and move his finger to the beat. There's also a less common animation where he scratches his butt, because you can't have idle animations without that one, can you now?

Taunts:
- He looks at the camera, thrusts his hand in its direction, raises his finger and yells, “this is my BOOMSTICK!”
- “Muhahahahahaaaaa!”, he laughs evily in his deepest voice while playing with his non-existant moustache.
- Giggles and rubs his hands. Quite possibly more evil than the previous one.

Victory tune:
Slightly altered first riff of Ride On Shooting Star.

Victory poses:
- Folds his arms and produces a smug grin with an invisible cigar in his mouth, then says in a raspy voice, “I love it when a plan comes together.”
- He performs a flip forward across the stage, then flips again and lands in a single-handed handstand... then topples over and lands on his bum.
- Does a rather dubious little dance.

Losing pose:
- Golf claps, smiling sleazily.

II.Hot-Blooded
Expression:
He smiles, but his eyebrows are lowered in determination. In this state, he's apt to grunt a lot while throwing some of his moves around. Is it healthy to enjoy fighting like that?
Idle pose:
Somewhat similar to Falco's except with looser motions, he's constantly in motion, switching his weight from one foot to another while keeping his arms raised in front of him in anticipation of attacking with them. Idling will make him crack various joints. Once he runs out of obvious ones, he'll have to resort to cracking his... toes.

Taunts:
- For this set of taunts, he copies some of his favourite Smash characters! First off is DK's famous shrug taunt – except he uses it facing his opponent. Oo, burn!
- Second is Wolf's kicking taunt, along with the line “Dosh-ta, dosh-ta?!” delivered in a mock Wolf voice. Hey, the Japanese version is cooler, right.
- And finally, “Show me your moves!” YHES!

Victory tune:
Pick a riff from Trigun's opening theme. ANY riff.

Victory poses:
- Ike raises his fist to the sky and euphorically yells “wooooo-hooooooo” like a child who just came out of an awesome rollercoaster ride. Then he folds over and starts panting. Whew.
- Does a victory dance that involves him sliding across the floor with subtle movements of his feet while grooving out with his arms. Basically, imagine something really awesome-looking. Got it? Yeah, that's it.
- Facing to the side of the screen in an ominously pensive pose, with his hand in front of his face pretending to be holding a cigar, he puts it in his mouth for a moment, then blows out the invisible smoke and proceeds to stand motionlessly with his face away from the camera. All while looking positively mysterious. I guess he's trying to act like Snake. If you look closely at him standing there, you can see him giggle.

Losing pose:
- Smiles proudly and claps.

III.Serious

Expression:
Empty except for determination.

Idle pose:
He stands with his legs far apart, arms raised in front of him, moving only subtly. He barely wastes a single motion. The stance is somewhat comparable to Wolf's, except with less motion and less overall wildness. No idle animations.

Taunts:
- Thrusts his fist forward and stands strong for a moment.
- Stands still and inhales, then exhales deeply with closed eyes.
- Stomps the foot behind him on the ground and raises the hand in front in a threatening motion.

Victory tune:
Slightly altered main riff from The Real Folk Blues.

Victory poses:
- Lying on the floor with all limbs stretched out, looking at the sky.
- Facing the side of the screen, he looks at his opponents behind him, then at the screen.
- Scratches his head as if something's mildly annoying or puzzling him, then slowly walks off the screen.

Losing pose:
- Stands there with his arms crossed.

Now for the actual fighting.
Ike is not exaggeratedly fast, his moves deal below average damage unless they manage to hit with several of their phases, he's easily KO'd and lacks many reliable KO moves himself...
The beauty of his fighting lies in his amazing ability to string moves together. He plays like a mix between Melee Falcon and Mario; his quick jump on the spot allows him to efficiently attack opponents above him like Fox, his dashing jump allows him to follow and beat them around like Falcon, his automatic l-cancel allows for ground moves or more aerials to follow immediately after a string of aerials.
Furthermore, he possesses a bunch of great intricacies that play with the physics of the game world and carry over some of the physics from the real world he's from.
This style means that he's mediocre in the hands of new players, but possesses great potential for everyone who's willing to learn how to make the best of his quick and precise movements.

The moves:

Ike has not only learned parcour and free-running. He actually earns some pocket-money by participating in the performances of a small breakdance crew, which is reflected in many of his moves. And you want to tell me that this guy is obsessed with comics, cartoons, videogames and music? Why can't I do those things?!

Many of the move names will link you to some footage of the move in action.

Specials:

NEUTRAL B:
Helping Hand:
The helper always tries to follow Ike as well as he can. He has limited flying speed, so it can take him a bit to catch up if Ike's being sent flying at high speed. If he's sufficiently close, the first two B moves can be used.
Pressing B will cause the helper to flutter in for a tackle against a nearby opponent! It's not a terribly fast attack, the way the helper flutters around Ike makes the start-up pretty random, it only works if the helper and an opponent are close to Ike, it can't be spammed and it only inflicts 2% at max strength and has no noticeable knockback except for some slight stun. Sounds... pretty horrible, actually.
The beauty lies in the fact that the helper is autonomous. Pressing neutral B gives a command directly to the helper himself. That means that this move can be used under all circumstances!
Shielding? Press B to make the helper attack and open up an opportunity for a counter-attack without lowering the shield.
Laying the smackdown on an enemy? Press B for some extra damage.
Being battered thoroughly? Press B to make him help you escape!

And, yes. If Kirby copies Ike's B move, he gains a little helper himself. A pink one!

FORWARD B:
Intercept Transmission:
The other move that makes use of the helper. Behind the appearance it dons, it's actually a being capable of manipulating data. This move makes use of that ability by absorbing “data” transmitted by other characters!
To utilize this, Ike has to give a command, so unlike the neutral B move, this can't be used while he's busy doing something else. After Ike shouts “Intercept!” while pointing forward, though, he can move freely again. The helper will, if available, dive forward as quickly as it can and stall in the air briefly in front of Ike. During this time, the move is in effect.
If a projectile touches the helper during this time, he will glow brightly for a moment as the projectile is being absorbed.
If an enemy is unfortunate enough to walk into this move, he will be latched onto and stunned with small attacks for combined medium damage, and if they possess a projectile, it will be absorbed, too! If they have several, the main one is chosen.
So what happens with absorbed stuff? Well, next time the neutral B is used, the helper quickly transforms into the absorbed projectile and shoots forward!
Depending on how powerful the blast is that you absorbed, this can lead to incredible combos into KOs! Trust me when I say that this sort of maneuver is hard as hell to pull off due to the somewhat long start-up and small hitbox, but I'll be ****ed if it isn't worth it!

DOWN B:
Freeze/Suicide:
Those who can't stand Ike might wish that this move was exactly what it sounds like, but it's actually a term used in breakdancing.
Like Jigglypuff's rest, new players will have a hard time figuring out the use of this move. Using it on the ground will cause Ike to... stop moving. Yeah, that's pretty much it.
The trick about this move is that it can also be used in the air and even during many moves!
The most common moves to use the Suicide with are Ike's aerials. Pressing down-b during an aerial will make him stop moving, which causes him to lose his forward momentum and increase his fall speed. This means that, if he's going forward in the air, he will quickly lose his forward momentum and start falling at an increasingly high speed. If he's already falling, he'll accellerate downwards.
During the fall, his whole body becomes a massive hitbox with power depending on his momentum and the power of the aerial he froze in. At maximum speed, it inflicts massive damage and causes knockback comparable to the Falcon Punch.
As you can imagine, however, the move is terribly situational. Once he uses it, he can't stop until he hits the ground, once he does hit the ground, depending on the distance he fell, he'll suffer slight damage and will take a while to get up again, and it takes a while to get the move up to its maximum power. Casuals love to use it during crowded FFAs, professionals usually just use it to trick the opponent by changing their momentum during their recovery in order to safely hang onto the ledge.

Using it in the air without canceling a move with it causes Ike to perform a much less extreme version with similar effects but much less power and less landing lag and damage.
It can also be used to cancel a few ground moves for different effects.

UP B:
Wall Jump:
Yep, Ike can wall jump. Obviously. This move takes that ability a step further, and is actually one of his most brilliant ones in several respects!
On the ground, using this move will cause Ike to make a quick leap and kick out his legs in front of himself. The start-up is sort of quick and the range is decent – and if you get hit by this, may god have mercy on your soul. Hitting anything solid with his feet will cause Ike to kick himself off that object and shoot up spectacularly in an arc, spinning in the air... Meanwhile, his victim is subjected to low damage and the deadliest knockback any attack of Ike's that isn't a charged smash has to offer. Which, mind you, still isn't spectacular, but beggars can't be choosers. It's quite horizontal, too, which makes it a killer close to the edge. Casuals have been known to call this move “the new Spin Attack”!

Of course, the move also has an aerial variety used for recovery.
Genre savvy as he is, Ike manipulates the game's physics and makes them his b*tch. For a short moment, he clings to the invisible wall that every character apparently uses to double-jump ( there's got to be one somewhere, right? ), then pushes himself off of it with a strong kick. He then dives forward a certain distance with his feet stretched forward. If he hits anything during this period, be it a wall or a foe, just like the grounded variety, he will kick off and send himself spinning upwards in a mostly vertical arc. Once he reaches the apex of that arc, he's free to move again, including the use of another up-b.
And let's not forget about the knockback if he hits an opponent, which invokes painful memories of Sheik's fair from Melee. It's not nearly as fast, and using it off the stage is rather risky, so it's hardly a cheap move. But that doesn't stop people from calling it one.

If he doesn't hit anything during the previous phase, the momentum will cause him to spin into a normal position for a moment. During this brief period, he can't act at all. He can Suicide-cancel this phase, which actually turns him into a rather deadly projectile, but that means he won't be able to do anything until he hits the ground.
Afterwards, he's free to move again, including the use of another up-b.
So, to recap the use of this move for the purpose of recovery:
The boost phase of the move will allow Ike to ricochet off walls in order to scale them by repeatedly bouncing back and forth between the wall and the “invisible” wall.
If no wall is available, it works similarly to Pikachu's uncharged Skull Bash, with a somewhat longer distance on the boost, but more time needed to recover afterwards.

Ike has several complex moves like this. Mastering them is one of the main objectives of any Ike main.

A Moves:

JAB
Right Hook, Left Hook:
Ike quickly jabs his right hand in front of himself. If you press A again, a left hook follows. He moves his whole body with the attack, so it looks very fluid. Unfortunately it deals only minimal damage and low knockback.

DASH ATTACK
Pistolwhip:
As he dashes, pressing A makes Ike place a foot firmly on the ground to come to a sudden halt. In a spinning motion, he directs the momentum of the run into his other leg, which he quickly stretches out for a mean kick. He then quickly finishes the spin, plants the foot back on the ground and proceeds to combo his opponent.
This attack is rather similar to Sheik's infamous ftilt from Melee, as it is perfect for setting up a combo. It's not quite as hellishly fast, but the range makes up for that.

Tilts:

FORWARD
Strong Right:
Taking a quick, fierce step forward with his right foot, Ike puts his whole body into a blindingly fast punch with his right fist! BAM! Breakdancing is fine and all, but every moveset needs a few plain and simple asskicking attacks like this one!
This move is really pretty average all around, although it does have quite nice range. KOs at higher percents.

UP
One-handed kick:
As seen in the photo, Ike gets on his hand and kicks upwards with both legs. This attack covers a nice range in all directions around Ike except below, and as most of his moves, has some good comboing potential.
This move is Freeze-cancelable, but it doesn't do much except make him remain motionless at the peak of the attack until he's interrupted, ten seconds pass or you press down-b again to make him continue. Use it for mindgames, I guess. Or better yet, as a taunt!

DOWN
Coffee Grinder:
As it shows in the video, this move makes Ike sweep his foot along the ground to trip his foes.
Tapping A will cause a brief tripping move with little lag, good for setups. Keeping A held a little longer will cause him to complete the circle to attack behind him as well. If you keep holding A down after this, the move will keep going on and increase in momentum. By the third full circle, it has reached its maximum power, giving it some good damage-dealing properties and actual potential for KOs. “Charging” it long enough for that to happen, though, takes about as long as a Warlock punch, so you can't count really on it in a duel.

Smashes

FORWARD
Baby Swipe
Watch the video! Ike gets on his hands and quickly kicks out his legs in a horizontally spinning motion. It's amazing how fluid he can make it look! He's probably helped by being inside a game, though...
This move has two attack phases: The initial kick, which does some rather low damage, but pretty good and very horizontal knockback, and the spin, which does okay damage and has the same knockback, but less horizontal, making it worse for KOs. You can pretty easily combo from the first phase into the next for some good damage. The hitbox for the first one comes out quickly, so it's actually a good KO move, but you have to space it very carefully so as to not let the second phase interrupt your opponent's trajectory. Master this move well!

UP
2000
It's a... reverse drillkick? Ike gets on both of his hands and uses his momentum to spin quickly!
The hitbox for this move covers his whole body. Being touched by any part of his body below his feet will cause opponents to be sucked up into the motion thanks to the wonderful magic of cartoon physics! As the move continuously deals little damage, they are forced upwards until they meet the sweetspot at his feet. Said sweetspot deals relatively low damage, but some respectable vertical knockback!
This move is Freeze-cancelable during the attacking potion, which makes him cut the move short and proceed to the get-up animation.

DOWN
Flare to Windmill combo
Seriously? Watch the video. I cannot do it justice with words.
Using a down-smash will first make Ike perform a Flare, the part of the combo where he stands on his arms and whirls his legs around himself. The attack has a sweetspot at the side of the foot that stretches out the farthest during the kicks, which will cause the enemy it hits to suffer pretty hard knockback. The other, much larger part of the attack, however, deals low-to-medium damage and actually combos into itself, much like Ganondorf's down-smash in Melee. The first part of the attack flings the opponent into the second. If you keep A held, you can keep doing this for a while, but your opponents will probably catch on and quickly DI out of the attack, which lets them punish you.
Once Ike stops with the Flare, he goes into a Windmill. He gets onto his back and uses the momentum he gained during the flare to kick out hard all around him. His legs deal good damage and some good knockback, both of which become excellent depending on how much momentum he gained.
This is Ike's flashiest move, and also the riskiest thanks to its complicated hitboxes and long duration. However, it also has the potential to be his most powerful. It can really turn the tide in a cluttered 4-way FFA!
This move is Freeze-cancelable as well during the first phase. Since using this smash is so risky, this allows you to cancel the attack early – however, canceling such an attack isn't without its own risks. Depending on how much momentum you've accumulated already, expect Ike to be sent flying a certain distance as he loses his grip and receive damage when he hits the floor. If you aren't careful when doing this near an edge, it could send him flying off to his doom, so only do this when you're sure it's the safer option, will you?

AERIALS

The meat of Ike's combo game. Many of these moves have interesting properties that require great precision to use effectively. Also, as it was given in the move description, all of them can be Suicide-canceled.

NEUTRAL A
Dynamic Entry:
A glorified sex-kick! Imitating the patron saint of all striving hot-bloods, the great Maito Gai, he kicks out his foot straight in front of him! Depending on his mood, this may or may not be accompanied by a scream of “DAINAMIKKU ENTURI” and a crazy grin. Don't be fooled by the ridiculousness, however. This is one of his more complex moves.
First and foremost, the knockback of this move is dependent on Ike's aerial momentum. It ranges from perfectly horizontal to mostly vertical. As it is a sex-kick, it also stays out for a short time, though shorter than most, and diminishes in strength during this time. His foot during the first frame of the attack is a sweetspot that causes greater damage and rather powerful and mostly horizontal knockback. This means:
This move can be one of Ike's most powerful killers if you hit with it at maximum aerial speed with the first frame of his foot.
You can ALSO use it as a combo “entry” by starting the move briefly before you clash with your opponent, which, depending on your momentum, causes them to be poked a short distance in front of you or above you, in a perfect position to follow up with more aerials!

FORWARD A
Heel Slam:
Ike pushes forward his lower body, sticks out his right foot, then slams it down in a circular motion. The knockback and damage of this move varies depending on when the opponent is hit.
The foot comes out fast, but deals little damage and slightly pops the opponent up. This can be a pretty effective spacing move, but the small damage might not be worth it if you aren't sure you can follow up quickly enough.
The first half of the slamming motion deals somewhat larger damage and low semi-spike knockback. This part is effective for getting your enemy out of your hair, slamming them against the ground, or gimping characters with a bad recovery.
The second half of the slam deals pretty good damage ( 12%-ish ) and is a meteor-smash with below average power. Use it to start combos against grounded opponents, build up damage, or KO highly damaged opponents!

UP A
Kick:
Similarly to the up-tilt, this move will make Ike kick up his feet, and, for the sake of coolness, touch one of them with his right hand. He remains in this pose for a moment, so it sort of resembles a sex kick. Apart from the fact that the damage and knockback depend subtly on how close to the feet the opponent is hit, this move is rather similar to Sheik's uair.

BACK A
Kamina Punch!:
This time, Ike summons the patron saint of all successful hot-bloods! In a fashion that might remind you of the Reverse Falcon Punch, Ike curls his body together in preparation for a spin, raises his fist, then spins around with a grunt of “Huuaaargh!” ( or a full-blown “KAMINA PUUUNCH!” if he's feeling silly enough ) and slams his fist behind him with all his power!
This is one of his killer moves, but like many others, it's rather risky due to a long start-up and cool-down and lower range than you'd expect from Ike. But while it's quite as strong as the famous Knee of Justice, it's at least as awesome!

DOWN A
Cycling kick:
Kind of a let-down after the awesomeness of the previous move, Ike quickly kicks downward with both feet after another at a slight angle, dealing okay damage and causing light forward knockback. If you ask him, he'll deny any similarities to Peach's dair.
Hitting an opponent with this move will temporarily arrest Ike's downward momentum as he kicks himself off of his adversary. Coupled with the fact that it has quick start-up and low cool-down, you can often string at least two of these together against a heavier opponent.

Shielding Moves and “Throws”:

SIDESTEP:
Ike puts his weight on one foot and quickly spins around it once, effectively stepping aside for a moment. Pretty average stuff here.

ROLL:
For both of his rolls, Ike will quickly kick himself off the ground with the foot that's facing the screen, jump vertically towards the background, kick himself off from the ground there and jump back onto the field. In short, two big leaping steps. It covers the distance you'd expect from a roll, has above average invincibility frames, but takes somewhat longer than many rolls.

GRAB:
Grappling isn't really Ike's style at all, you know. His “grab” is one of the most unique in the game, with properties quite unlike any other.
He reels back his right hand, then thrusts it forward in a perfectly horizontal motion, at blinding speed! Okay, it's just a glorified poke, but man, it hurts! The opponent hit by this is stunned for a moment and is thus at Ike's mercy!
This “grab” is slower to come out than any other and has only average range, but it's quite worth it. And yes, it does pierce shields.

After you rendered your enemy defenseless, quickly follow up with one of these; you only have a short moment to decide!

THROWS:
A attack:
Keep A held to make Ike attack with a flurry of random punches! Now this is the style he's known for; what he lacks in muscles, he makes up for in pure speed!
As soon as the first punch is thrown, the opponent can attempt to DI out of the barrage. Anticipate your foe's escape and stop pressing A to finish the attack with a straight jab that sends them flying a short distance.
This move can accumulate some decent damage on an already highly damaged opponent. At low damages, they can escape more easily, so other throws might work better.
If you didn't figure it out yet, this isn't your usual grab attack. You can't use any of the other throws after it.

Forward throw:
Ike uppercuts the victim, and, in the same motion, throws himself onto the ground, where he leans on his left hand and left foot and proceeds to kick out the right leg into them. The uppercut does relatively high damage and hardly any knockback. An expert DIer can DI out of it at lower percents to evade the kick. If he fails, the combined attack does good damage and can KO at high percents.

Up throw:
Ike sits down on the ground and trips the opponent with one leg, then kicks upwards with the other. Like the forward-throw, can possibly be DI'd out of, otherwise does good damage. Hardly any KO ability.

Back throw:
Ike gets on the floor and rolls forward sideways through the legs of his victim, which causes them to trip and receive small damage. He gets up facing the opposite direction he faced before, while his foe will be forced to tech.

Down throw:
Punches them in the gut in a forward step, then quickly follows up with an elbow into their back, making them bounce off the ground. Good ol' brawling move. Good damage, can be followed up at lower percents.

FINAL SMASH:
The Awakening

The Awakening... Ike's Final Smash, the manifestation of his ultimate power... what earth-shaking force of destruction does the Smash Ball allow him to wield?!

As he absorbs the energy of the Smash Ball, his eyes light up with fire! He points his finger to the sky! By some miracle, the energy is transferred into his helper, who begins to shine in a bright, firy light and disappear the same way he appeared at the start of the match...
In the place of the helper materializes a new creature, a powerful warrior who shall assist Ike in his battle!

Allow me to introduce you to Linda.

Linda is Ike's best friend, yet they could hardly be more different. If Ike is hot-blooded, Linda has a glacier coursing through her veins.
She is a sweet, very intelligent and sensible girl, mild-mannered and wise... but really, the first thing people will notice about her is that she is incredibly slow.
She is a narcoleptic, which means that she will often fall asleep very deeply for a short time, without warning and at any time. She counters this by taking medication and napping regularly, but it still leaves her feeling extremely tired all the time, which in turn causes her to move and react quite slowly.
Don't let this fool you into thinking that she's a boring person, though; her deadpan humor is unmatched, and for some reason her fingers appear to be exempt from her slowness – she's a known and feared Smasher in her region!

But all this aside, why would Ike summon a tiny and tired young girl into the battlefield?
Well, what not so many people know is that Linda also happens to possess super strength! Nobody who knows about it has any idea why she does, and somehow, nobody seems to care, either. She just happens to have the strength of a full-blown professional wrestler. The laws of physics are indignant!
Of course, Linda is so slow that the usability of her strength is so greatly restricted that her punches still hurt less than those of an average dude and she's forced to act like some sort of mobile rock in battle.
That's where the Smash Ball comes into play!

Ike transfers the Smash energy into Linda, who accepts the offer with a curtsy. Her eyes glow up! She... she's awake!
In this rare state, Linda's mobility rises dramatically to the level of a normal teenage girl!
For the next few seconds, she assists Ike in battle.

Now let me repeat this.

Ike is helped for several seconds by a character with the mobility of Mario and the strength of Ganondorf, who does not suffer any damage because she automatically blocks everything with her arm and has the best possible AI. Hooooly crap!

Here are the moves she has at her disposal:

DASH A
Shove:
Basically, she holds her hands in front of herself and pushes the opponent hard. Deals mediocre damage but is quite a capable KO move.

FORWARD TILT
Little swing:
She swings her right hand in front of herself in a slightly upwards arc. It deals some very nice damage and launches them mostly vertically to be followed up with some aerials from Ike.

FORWARD SMASH
Girly kick:
This would be her attack of choice if Ike has managed to grab the opponent. She lifts up her right leg, then kicks it out. Yes, it's visible that she's not an experienced fighter or anything, but it's not like she ever claimed to be one. And really, that just makes the ownage that much more satisfying. This move deals great damage and explosive knockback!

AERIAL FORWARD A
Big swing:
For all intents and purposes, this move is just like Ganondorf's fair, except a little stronger.

Once the time's over, she stops, briefly waves at Ike with her usual calm smile and vanishes again to be replaced by the helper.

Oh, by the way: No, she's not really stronger than Ganondorf. She can't bend metal or take over kingdoms or anything. Her overpoweredness is a simple by-product of balancing: Since Ike is balanced with the other fighters, and Linda is stronger than Ike, that effectively makes her more powerful than any other character once she's inside the game! Oh, the beauty of manipulating loopholes for the sake of awesomeness!

Finally, let's deal with the

Alt Colors:

White: The default colors that you saw above.

Black: Goth Ike! He turns even paler, his trademark red hair goes dark purple and his clothes turn all black. Destined to become overused.

Red: Emo Ike! Colors chosen by the super-awesome Reyairia!

Green: As colored during my first crappy attempt at throwing some colors together.

Blue: Ike's red hair goes blue, his t-shirt goes blue as well, the sweatshirt below it turns red, the pants white and the shoes go thick leather... Hmm... who does this remind me of...?

Yellow: SUPER SAIYAN IKE, BABY!

And now for the last bit of awesomeness.

Stage:
Our Hometown

( Okay, I didn't really go for accuracy here. Consider it the better alternative to an MSPaintjob. )

Allow me to explain the sketch.
The setting is the outskirts of a major American city that shall remain unnamed. The fighting takes place on top of an abandoned warehouse with an unnecessary giant advertising poster attached. This is the sole platform.
There is a large tree in the leftern foreground and another warehouse on the right. A road lies at the bottom and extends up to the horizon, across a bridge on top of a river and to the stadium in the far right background.
Much of the background is taken up by a big skyscraper that blocks the leftern view at the sky and the horizon, where another part of the city can be seen in the distance.

It sounds like quite a boring stage, really. Only one platform and a rather uninteresting landscape. However, this stage is extremely unique. Why? Because it is sensitive to music.

The Hometown stage has a wide library of songs available, all of which influence the way the stage will appear. There is a giant number of factors that can change according to the music; the time of day, the weather, the movement of the clouds, the color scheme, the leaves and the birds flying in the wind, the cars, the light of the billboard, the lone street lantern and the nearby skyscraper and the stadium in the background... all of these and more can change with no regard for the physically possible to enable an amazing musical experience.
Get your imagination in gear, I will list the available songs and describe what happens on the stage when they play.
They also all have a certain influence on Ike's mood, so I will list that as well.

Song: Gorillaz – 19/2000 (Soulchild Remix)
Moods: 100% Happy
Start dancing to the music of Gorillaz in a happy mood! When this song plays, the stage gains a color scheme similar to the one you see in the official music video. Apart from that, there don't seem to be many obvious changes... well, except for the occasional flying saucer and the mayhem on the streets that appears to have a conspicuous yellow buggy at its center... and the windows of the skyscraper occasionally light up to the beat of the song... actually, do I see Godzilla walking around in the background there...? Must be my imagination.
Oh, and you know how the audience sometimes cheers on a character?
In this mode of the stage, there's a chance that they'll be interrupted by a middle-aged guy's voice yelling “shut the hell up already!” from off-screen.

Song: Bomfunk MCs – Freestyler
Moods: 70% Happy – 25% Hotblood – 5% Serious
The absolute classic of breakdancing songs ( at least ones that I'm aware of :p ).
For this mode, the stage takes on a similar color scheme to the official music video. Not much else appears to change at first glance. The essence of this mode lies in the clouds and the timing. The clouds change shape like the visualization plugin of your media player, and everything, clouds as well as cars and everything else, scratches. Whenever the music scratches back and forth, so does everything else in the stage. It makes you want to dance!

Song: Initial D – Beat of the Rising Sun
Moods: 40% Happy - 60% Hotblood
Beat of the Rising Sun! The band that made the soundtrack for the racing anime Initial D is giving a concert in the stadium! The music is accompanied by a spectacular lighting show produced by the floodlights that lights up the sky!
In the background, you can slowly see the sun rise behind the horizon to illuminate the darkness of the night... the wind is going steadily but powerfully, the occasional bird and leaf can be seen flying about, and cars are racing across the streets in masses as befits the soundtrack of an anime about racing!

Song: Initial D – The Final Countdown
Moods: 40% Happy – 60% Hotblood
Again from Initial D, this song is played in the middle of the night. But you have no time to wonder whether the residents are okay with the commotion, because it's the final countdown now! The light show for this is absolutely amazing – the cloud is thickly covered in clouds which are lit up in all the colors of the rainbow by the flashlights! Even the lights of the billboard and the lone streetlight flicker in the beat of the song... This ain't a place for epileptics to be, that's for sure.

Song: Masterplan – The Spirit Never Dies
Moods: 100% Hotblood
The song made famous by the AMV “Shounen Bushido” - the epitome of hotbloodedness!
The stage goes crazy during this song – it starts in the middle of the night and passes through a whole day until the end of the match. Everything is fast-forwarded! The awesome flood of light caused by the cars in the darkness of the night is enough to look amazing, but that's not nearly all. The sky is in turmoil. Clouds move with the song like sentient masses. They seem to attempt to devour one another, fighting for dominance of the skies! Black clouds appear and cause terrible dangerous weather, powerful storms blast across the stage with barrages of rain, and are soon vanquished by the white clouds again, allowing you a quick glimpse at the sun and the perfect blue sky until the next onslaught of blackness occurs. Caught in the middle are the birds. Most of the birds are helplessly swept away with the storm... but a few courageous ones stand up against it! Such valor!
After the middle point, the fight of the clouds escalates, and finally, the black clouds seem to win! The bad weather is starting to take on epic proportions – until it suddenly stops. Nothing moves, and there is only darkness left.
But then the black clouds tear open, they fight back, the struggle resumes, but the black clouds are losing... and with the final beat, all of them suddenly vanish into nothingness, exposing the full moon that bathes the stage into a celestial light. Wow.
This song only plays during timed matches. Advanced musical technology ensures that parts of the song will repeat just enough to perfectly suit the length of the match. My lord, Sakurai, what a genius you are.

Song: Machinae Supremacy – Bouff
Moods: 50% Hotblood – 50% Serious
Everything is dark. The only sources of light are the billboard lights, the lone street lantern and the moon. A storm is raging against the lands. Heavy raindrops hit the stage in waves, the tree has to try its hardest to resist the storm while its branches are slammed against the building and its leaves are torn away with the wind in spades... Only in the last minute, the music stops, and the rain and wind cease as if nothing ever happened...
This is the stage where battles of fate are fought.

[Unlockable songs]

Song: Machinae Supremacy
Moods: 100% Serious
Just like the previous Machinae Supremacy song, this will cause a terrible storm to rage across the stage... yet there is no rain. In fact, all the land seems terribly empty and gray, supervised only by the full moon looming on top of it all, bathing the world into an otherworldly light...
This mode of the stage is so intense in its depressiveness that it's been known to cause more emotionally fragile players to stress out over the current match... If you have a score to settle with someone, play them on this stage in this mode. More epicness has not been seen in the history of Smash.

Song: Gorillaz – Demon Days
Moods: 100% Serenity
It's the eponymous song! But... what is that? “Serenity”?
This unlockable song is the only one in the game that can trigger a hidden mood in Ike. It's similar in most respects to Seriousness, with one big difference... he smiles calmly. In this state, you could almost think you're facing a wise old man who is at peace with the world, an ancient master of almost forgotten martial arts... something like that? What is the significance of this song...?
During this song, the stage is filled in a light grey tone as the sky is covered in light rainy clouds that pour down relentlessly... Yet somehow, it doesn't seem so bad. The rain is falling softly like a gentle shower. And slowly, you can see the clouds breaking open to reveal the sun...

I am going to vote. Yes, a vote. I have been wanting to vote since 20 minutes ago. Oh, how long the wait as been. This vote has had time and money put into it, like a poor street urchin dying of 23 different kinds of spider-bites.

Ike is the winner here, because he reminds me of a time long since passed. I will call this time 1999. A time when me and my little chubby-bubby friends laced around the towns in search of hugs and kisses and warm nights. Oh, how the jellybeans tasted then. They were the beaniest jellies you ever did taste. Chocolate was free, as well.

Ike captures this time of innocents. Look at his hair! That is some hair. Notice the hair under his armpits! Look at the chest hair he wears! He has hair on his shirt! I see some pubic hair. My eyes MAY be wrong and tricking, but I see some hair on his chin, also. Hair. Hairhairhairhairhair.
And he has a little friend, too! I will call her Emily. She will be my best friend, and we will patrol the gardens of Eden, hoping to find mummy.
Mummy was always naked, and she touched us… Emily began to question the relationship, so mummy had her brutally ********. How tragic my eyes came off as, on those cold, dark, spoooooky winter nights. I miss Emily.

Ike also seems to have a Final Smash. A Final Smash about a girl. We will sum it up for you in a song.
Giiiiiiirl, I want youuuu…
The Smash Ball of my light, the apple of my life,
Giiiiiiirl, unleash your horror, girl!
Gough out their eyeballs girl!
Suck out their semen girl!
Make them eat their own legs off girl!
Force them to cut their hair!
And you will maul them there!

Giiiiiirl, you will grab them by their hands, and you’ll bite right into their veins,
and girl that liiiine didn’t rhyme, so please won’t you stab them all in time…

Girl.
I love you.

Anyway, she leaves most everyone bloody and horridly mentally unstable. It’s a really cute move really! ^^

Next, it seems Ike has a love of emotions. He has serious, and determined… and happy. Yes. Happy. Happy. Don’t we ALL wish we could be so HAPPY? With just the RIGHT music? Or a SINGLE. ITEM. ON. THE. STAGE. Happy. He says “silly” or “bubbly” things. In battle. I’ve been in battle. I’m ALWAYS in a form of battle, really. And I don’t smile. Not one bit. In fact, I don’t think I’ve even thought a decent thought since that… child came into my life. Unplanned parent hood. I didn’t ask for it. I USED a condom. Why is IKE so FUCKIN’ HAPPY. It makes NO SENSE. Yeah, he CAN be serious. CAN. What, like, 2 times a YEAR in this game? Fuck! Happy! Emotions have NO place in this world! All they do is FUCK you up! GODDAMNIT! THAT CHILD! ARGH! It’s like some faggot you want to punch, and kick, and stab, and blind, and DESSTROOOY. But you can’t. The “law” says it’s wrong. What’s WRONG is how UNFAIR it is. How do I feel, huh!? Fuck! And that woman, GOD, don’t get me on h so that’s how the unique “emotion” properties Ike has work in the game. I think they’re a fantastic idea!

Ike’s Stage.
Reminds me of my house. Kind cute, really! I get the crazy weather to. Also, those birds that get sucked into their death-hole? If you look hard, you can see a small baby. It’s so adorable!

I like the music.

Ike has some taunts. As far as I’m concerned, they should all be the finger. End of story.

---------------------

AND NOW! I present to you, the honorable reader, MY character for SHOW ME YOUR MOVES! Or… Smashdash! Or... whatever the hell this is! It be…

BILLY THE MOLEBEAR.

Hi kids! I’m Billy the Molebear, and I’m here to show YOU, what I can DO!
I may look cute and fuzzy, but years of horrific lab experiments and having foreign objects shoved in orifices have made me FULL of hate! Why, I’m just BURSTING to come out of the screen and **** your children! So come on, let’s learn about my stuff! So cute!

Standard moves:

A: Like Wario, I’m a bit of a snapper! While he may do it because he has some repressed cannibalistic urges, I do it simply to watch you cry in pain! I reach out my freakishly large head and sink my jagged fangs into your worthless bound of flesh! Gorgeous!

-> A: I kick in a forward direction, BUT, as is the Billy way, I then confuses your opponent by jumping up and down and screaming in horror! My memories of being taken away from my family come flying back, and I have an epileptic fit! Anyone caught in the confusion will then be blinded with the chemicals that start spilling out of my ears! Amazing!

^ A: I begin to type in British English, which makes every American player think I’m talking nonsense, because you guys are too dumb to decipher what I’m saying! Everyone becomes dazzled and weirded out, and runs away from me! Great if you’re in a tight situation! How unique!

\/ A: I walk off into a corner, and cry for the remainder of the game! Anyone who dares come near to console me will be instantly taken into my frame of mind, and relies that the world is a horrible place and you wish you were dead. Only, if you die, you’re sure Hell is just another version of Earth. Only probably slightly better. If the victim is weak enough to give it all in, they nick out the ol’ torture device, and end their lifes in some of the most painful wais imaginable! There are 3 variables:
The **** and Ball: take a guess.
The twister: Poor Mario has given the game up, and has decided to grab out a device that rips into his central nervous system, and makes him begin to bite into his won stomach, and shake it around in his teeth like a dog to a chewtoy! He then holds out his intestine for all to see, and squeezes the **** out in a poetic metaphor for the “crap in his life”.
The shameful banana: Sad and troubled Pikachu cannot take it anymore, and grabs the nearest banana! He then proceeds to engulf the whole thing into his mouth, and lets himself feel it blocking off his air supply! He eventually vomits, clearing his airways. Not content with this, he quickly rups his throat open. then shoves the gooey stomachy mess directly into his airways! We then get to watch him turn from yellow to purple over ajn excruciating 34 minutes! He also cries about his dead father. Adorable!

...And, sadly kids, I’m out of time! The deformed and twisted chemical plant that I live in wants me back… and I was so hoping to show you by B and Aerials…
How I wish to live in a nice place… I want my mummy back….

It’s so dark in there. :(

Well, Ike is complete now, so I'm going to have to change a couple things. Ike can get a super-vote, and I'm not going to vote for the Warner Brothers, because two of them don't have aerials, so they technically aren't finished. They can have an honourable mention. Anyways, continuing with Supervotes.

Scrooge McDuck: This character is amazing in every way, shape, and form. It's balanced, interesting, has a picture for nearly all of his attacks, meaning I can imagine every single one of his moves vividly and insert him into a mental game of Smash without any kind of difficulty. I'm doing it right now, and Mario just got beaten down by a bthrow. That is how amazing this character is. The style, description, everything is great. My favourite part if the final smash, however. Young Scrooge McDuck? Yeah, you see that and you know that this fight isn't even fair anymore. It would be like if I had given Yoda a Final Smash that gave him CG abilities to kill things. Awesome.

Cthulu: I... when I saw the name on a moveset for the first time I kind of shut down. I had no idea how to react. Was it good? Bad? Could someone actually pull off Cthulu without butchering him? Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Hell yes. This character is a well-balanced power-house with a myriad of fun and freaky abilities, well suited to his character. Fear the call... the call of Cthulu! That's such a good move. And besides, when a game prides itself on the fun chaos and madness it creates, it just seems.. fitting that a character of madness is in. Madness? This is SPARTA! No, this is better. This is Cthulu, and I'd like to see what an epic spear-throw does against a monster like this. I'm betting not much.

Friedrich Nietzsche: Wow. This character is so well-written and entertaining to read it hurts. His personality is expressed so fluently in his moveset, his beliefs given into battle. This is one of the funnest characters to read, and it was so good, that when MetaLord made it, he changed the way people thought about making movesets. Suddenly there was Socrates (Twice) and other bizarre characters like that. In retrospect, most of them paled in comparison to this, much like how Pichu pales in comparison to Pikachu, or how Ness pales in comparison to Lucas (All those Ness mainers out there may disagree, but that's okay). I love everything about this character.

Ike: ****. This character is absurdly amazing to the point of awesome. I seriously considered giving him a vote even though he didn't have a fifth of a moveset. He's got a full one now, and I have no choice but to give him a super-vote. But really, I don't mind. His moods, some of his specials, nearly everything about this character is great. He's a little unbalanced, the helper move being the main problem as it renders any kind of grab useless on him, or any kind of move that stops his movement. If his side special wasn't so difficult to manage, I'd say he's got ????? syndrome and would return my list to the previous form. On the flip side, some of his moves are so situation and strange it makes up for it. His down special is awesome. No joke, I love it, and how it was incorporated into his moveset. It kind of reminds me of Rythe, with their weird properties that made their high-level play ridiculously complex. Except Ike is also somewhat n00b friendly, whereas Rythe is like a more suicidal less powerful Captain Falcon. It makes me wonder who would win in a Brawl, a level 9 Ike or a level 9 Rythe...

I'm slowly getting closer to having all of my votes in. I have two left. Who will they be?

Billy the Molebear? Hmm... well he was entered too late to go to the actual competition, but I guess I can review him if you want me to.

Billy is completely ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I got some chuckles out of reading his moveset, but we both know deep down inside that putting him in an actual game would be impossible right now. I mean, seriously. From what small amount of moves you have, his side tilt sounds useless, I don't know what his up-tilt does, and his down-tilt is either broken of worthless. Standard combo could go any direction to as far as balance goes. Fun to read though. Got a couple laughs. I wish it was complete, but it'd be like completing the Phaaze submission, or the Light that wasn't by Metalord, which has been lost to the thread. Fun, but in the end it'd still be ridiculous. Which is what you appeared to be going for in the first place.

VOTE CHANGE:
Not only am I in aww of the shinyness that is ike but I felt compelled to change a vote to give hi a super vote. Therefore I am removing Mr.Mario Paint from my list for Ike.
Ike: Ike is by far one of the most in depth characters here. His specials are more unique and require more strategy than any other characters on here. Especially the neutral special and side special and the ways u can use them. Most people don't even make a stage for their characters but Faw made a stage, a song and not only those but secret songs to. His moods give him 9 taunts and 9 victory poses which is awesome not to mention 3 losing poses. Also its nice that 3 of his alternate colors are actually drawn. One more thing he also has 3 victory songs that all have links. Ike is just about my favorite submission.

Huzzah! Hurrah! Caloo! Callay! (Who knew what Adder meant?)

Well, I'm pleased. I do wish I finished him, but time constraits (Fawwwriel....!) forced me to hurry him up and skip half the moveset. :(

I am pleased however. I will now sit back and wait for the winner to be annouced.

SUPER DOUBLE MEGA ULTRA PROCRASTINATION TIMES 9000!!!!! GO

Zatch Bell And Kiyo

Zatch and Kiyo from the manga Zatch Bell. In Zatch Bell 100 mamodo children are sent to earth each with a spellbook. Only one human can read each mamodo's book and when they do the mamodo can perform spells of all varieties but if the book takes enough damage from another mamodo it will burn and the mamodo is sent back to the mamodo world. The mamodos are on Earth to decide the next king of the mamodo world. When Zatch came to the human world his jealous older brother nearly destroyed him and caused him to lose his memory. Kiyo's father found him and saved him. Zatch not knowing he was a mamodo wanted to repay the favor so he was sent to Kiyo to be like a life coach and help him make friends because Kiyo is a so smart he thinks he is better than everyone else but with Zatch's help he makes more friends and they find out that even though Zatch was a weakling in the mamodo world he is actually very strong.

Gameplay: Zatch dose all the attacking while Kiyo stays in the backround casting spells and often saying encouraging things such as "You can do Zatch". This is similar to Pokemon Trainer except kiyo faces the direction Zatch dose and always stands next to him. If Zatch surpasses 150% his book turns gold. At this point all his attacks do 0.5 more. Everytime you use a spell Kiyo yells it out and points the direction he wants Zatch to fire or in this case the way hes facing already. When Zatch loses consciousness his eyes turn white and he stays standing. Whenever Zatch dies his book catches fire but kiyo pats it putting out the fire.

Stats:
Power: 3.5/5 Zatch can hold his own being a Mamodo
Speed: 3/5 He's a little bit faster than Mario
Jump: His jump height is about the same as Link
Weight: 2/5 About the same weight as Pikachu
Traction: 3/5 His traction is average

A Tilts and Aireals:
A: Jab: Zatch jabs with his right hand. This dose the same damage as Pikachu's standard A but less knockback. If held down he will do a continuous one two punch. He is very susceptible from behind when using this attack but he can hit those above him.
Dash A: Trip: Thats right Zatch trips. The value of this attack is it looks like a normal trip but dose damage and zatch recovers quickly so it can be used to fool oppenents.
Side Tilt: Right Hook: Zatch steps forward on one foot and dose a right hook. If the A button is tapped a second time he jumps forward on his front foot in order to deal a second hit that dose less damage than the first. It can be done a third time but it dose even less damage. If you attempt it a fourth time zatch falls forward on his face.
Down Tilt: Low Kick: Fairly weak kick with the tip of the foot. It is weak and has a slim, long hitbox. No noticeable knockback.
Up Tilt: Clap: Zatch dose a quick clap above his head. It dose little damage but has a small amount of upward knockback.
Nair: Flip Kick: Zatch dose a flip with one leg extended. Weak midair attack. Has no knockback. Is capable of multiple hits.
Fair: Headbut: Zatch leans his head forward for a headbut. Can be used as a meator smash if you hit with the bottom of the hitbox. Dose little damage and knockback.
Uair: Upward Spin: Zatch kicks his legs upwards and spins. Capable of multiple hits. Can do decent damage.
Bair: Rising Kick: Zatch raises his left leg behind him. Dose little damage. After doing this attack Zatch can immedietly do is nair.
Dair: Striking Punch: Zatch points his left arm down and falls quickly. This is similsr to Link's down air. Dose a good amount of damage. Has some lag if you don't hit some one.

Smashes:
Forward Smash: Maazu Jikerudon: This is one of Zatch's spells. When used a giant ball of electricity appears infront of him. If an enemy is close they are pulled in and shocked. The duration of the attack and size and power all depend on how much you charge it. Zatch can not move when the spell is in use because he loses consciousness when he uses a spell.

Down Smash: Baou Kurou Disugurugu: Another of Zatch's spells. A massive claw of comes from the ground where zatch is standing. This happens while you charge it. When released it slamms down hitting on top of Zatch and on both sides of him. Unlike most spells Zatch dose not lose consciousness when using it.

Up Smash: Ganreizu Zakeru: Multi-Turret gun appears and shoots several small blast of lightning upward. The length of the charge determines the amount of blasts. Like most spells Zatch loses consciousness when using the attack. Dose multiple hits and has little knockback. Dose a lot of damage.

Specials:
Neutral Special: Rashield/Rashirudo: A spell where a shield rises from the ground. It gives a small shock if you touch it but if a projectile hits it then it bounces back charged with electricity doing double damage. Zatch can't move meaning when using it meaning he is really supceptible from behind but the wall is tall and difficult to get over without using a recovery move.

Side Special: Zagurzem/Zaguruzemu: Similar to snakes C4 except its a small ball of electricity. It comes out of Zatches mouth gose a little bit of horizontal distance until it sinks to the ground. It then charges the ground where it lands or if it hits a person it charges them. The diffrence between this and snake's mine is this attack's charge isn't let out until Zatch uses an attack spell. All his spells are attack spells except this, his neutral B and his down B. Also the spell used is powered up. He can't be hurt by this attack. The attack is slow moving and Zatch once again loses consciousness meaning he can be hit easily. If the attack is interupted before it charges something then it is useless.

Up Special: Zakeruga or in air Bao Zakeruga/Baou Zakeruga
On the ground he uses Zakeruga. This is a concentrated blast of lightning fires forward. It is a little thicker than R.O.B.'s lazer and fires the same way like being long and going until it reaches the edge of the screen. It dose not however requiere a charge nor can it be charged. However if you hold down B it will not fire until you let go. it is not spamable because there is alot of lag when using it. If zatch is in the air then he fires a Bao Zakeruga/Baou Zakeruga spell downwards boosting him up. It is a decent recovery going about as far as the Firefox. While flying you can change the angle your going up. The attack dose not damage those above Zatch but it can be powerful to use if you hit them with the spell. The spell resembles a large dragon made of electricity. If Zatch's book is gold then he dose Teozakeru on the ground and Jiou Renzu Zakeruga in the air. There is no change in effect it just looks diffrent and is more powerful. Jiou Renzu Zakeruga is more snake-like, is decorated with diamonds and has four spikes on the side of its head. Teozakeru is more concentrated.

Down Special: Rauzaruk/Rauzaruku: A rainbow colored bolt strikes from the sky and hits Zatch. It looks very similar to pikachu's down B. It dose little damage itself but has another use. When it hits Zatch he glows rainbow and for the next 10 seconds all his tilts and Aerials are powered up. While using this spell he can not use other spells so he can not do other Specials, smashes or any throws.

Throws:
Grab: Jikerdor/Jikerudo: This spell looks just like Maazu Jikerudon but smaller. It turns the target into a magnet but in this it is a grab. It has longer distance than most grabs and since Zatch is still when he uses spells he has no dash grab. Once he uses this he holds them by putting both hands on their shoulders
Grab Hit: Zaker/Zakeru: This is Zatch's first spell and his most used one before he gains Zakeruga. In the anime he often grabbed people like this and blasted them with Zaker/Zakeru.
Forward Throw: Ekuseresu Zakeruga: This spell is a mass of electricity that is in the shape of an arrow. The spell blasts them forward and keeps pushing them for about 2 seconds.
Up Throw: Barudo Forusu: Zatch's friends Tia, Konchome and Ponygon lend zatch their power to create a phoenix made of electricity that knocks foes up as it flies up. It is much smaller than in the picture. It flys up fast and gose through foes doing multiple hits.

Back Throw: Ekuseresu Zakeruga: This time Zatch tosses them backwards faces them and uses this spell. Very similar to forward throw.
Down Throw: Zaker: Zatch throws the opponent down and blasts them.

Final Smash: Shin Beruwan Baou Zakeruga: Say that ten times fast. A giant lightning dragon with multiple heads and claws similar to Baou Kurou Disugurugu (Down Smash), appears and starts to bite foes and slash with its claws. It lasts about 5 seconds and is very powerful. The dragon floats in the backround while attacking.

Animations:
Dizzy: Zatch's eyes are white, his mouth his open and he looks up swaying slightly.
Sleeping: Zatch closes his eyes, stays standing, tilts his head down and breaths heavily
Entrance: Zatch is carried in by Owashi the hawk. When he is carried in he ian't wearing his robe just his underwear and his book is tied to his back. When he lands he throws the book to Kiyo, throws his robe in the air it comes down on him and Kiyo says "Lets do this" while Zatch responds with "Right".
Taunts:
1. Zatch takes out the Vulcan 400, drops 3 rock in saying "energy suply" everytime he drops one in (he dose this quickly so he talks fast making it sound funny) and then rotates in place making a bad gun sound effect as kiyo yells at him saying "This isn't the time to play".
2. Zatch puts both hands on his hips and dose his laugh from the Dub. It sounds like this "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha". The first for are lower then the fifth is way louder and higher then there is a very short pause then the last two are lower than the fith but not as low as the first few. He laughs fast so it sounds pretty funny. While he dose this kiyo puts his head in his hands.
3. They strike the pose in the first picture.
Victory poses:
1. Zatch is eating a giant yellow tail (fish). When he eats yellow tail he opens his mouth up really wide like its on a hinge and chomps down on it eating it in about 5 bites. While doing this kiyo looks at him with discust.
2. They strike the pose in the first picture but Kiyo is standing up and Zatch says "I'm going to become a kind king"
3. Zatch dose the dance for Chichi Wo Moge while kiyo watches him shocked. (Chchi Wo Moge translates to "Grouping Breasts")
Losing Pose: Zatch cries as Kiyo tussles his hair with his eyes closed looking down

Music
Victory Theme: Chichi Wo Moge: Its the first lines up to "Boing Boing" the diffrence from the real song is the boings escalate in sound as he sings them.
"Scab" by Hidenori Chiwata: The first opening.
"So That This Voice Can Reach You" by Takayoshi Tanimoto : The Second Opening.
"Invisible Wings" by Takayoshi Tanimoto : Third opening.
Unlockable: Konjiki no Gash Bell/Zatch Bel opening 3 (full/gash version)

Stage: London Forest: The place where Kiyo's Dad found zatch after he lost his memory. You fight on the ground and above you there are sevral tree branch platforms. It is a walk-off stage.
ATs:

Mia and Tegumi: They appear and use Seoshi/Seushiru which creates a bubble shield around the summoner. The summoner can go in and out but it acts as a wall to all other opponents and attacks.

Ponygon and Kafk Sunbeam: They appear and use Shin Shudoruk which covers ponygon in armor with a massive horn. Ponygon then rushes across the screen while on fire. He Rushes from side to side across the stage doing alot of damage and knockabck for a few seconds.

Kanchomé and Parco Folgore: They appear and use the Miriararu Poruku spell which uses an opponents attack against them. In smash bros he uses their Neutral B.

BOSS:
Brago and Sherry: Brago fights they way Zatch dose with his book owner in the background. He uses his spell Reis spell to attack. It is a purple sphere of gravity that causes damage and he uses Gravirei to slow down opponents. When he gets hurt enough he uses Shin Baberuga Gurabidon which is gravitational beam with a force so strong it can slice mountains. He continues using combination of these three spells and hand to hand combat which he is very strong in. Brago is not actually evil but he is the last person Zatch fights.

Everyone who didn't do so yet, don't forget to check out the completed Ike moveset on the previous page!
kthx

I am going to vote. Yes, a vote. I have been
wanting to vote since 20 minutes ago. Oh, how long the wait as been. This vote has had time and money put into it, like a poor street urchin dying of 23 different kinds of spider-bites.

[...]
I love you, too.

Thank yoouu!

Nerd. I knew you were capable of great things, but being able to sincerely and objectively review that moveset is a class of its own.

Thanks. ^^

is that a good thing or a bad thing
It means that you may safely ignore him because he's a mindless troll drone who can't think for himself and has to use the stereotypes that other people handily made for him.

Your moveset seems pretty cool. It shows that you put effort into it. It's rather hard to read, though... you should work on the formating. Use more line breaks, for starters.

Friendly reminder that voting ends tomorrow ( I won't be too harsh about the exact time, but it has to be that day ), a very, very subtle bump and an unfinished list of votes.

Normal votes:

1.-Ike, my finest creation
2.-Fawriel, who is worth a read at least

And now the Super Votes! In no particular order:

-Anonymous
I would be giving this one a lesser vote because, by god, it already has a crapload of support. But, I won't be that way. Anonymous is simply a perfect choice, as much as I hate to admit it. After all, this is the internet, and Anon is The Internets. The moveset also reeks of effort and manages to incorporate all sorts of Anonymous stuff in a unique fashion... the support is justified.
-Conan (etc.)
RWB is a megalomaniac who just can't help squeezing a giant number of moves out of a single character. Mind you, he managed quite well to capture the spirit of Conan. I would never have been able to give that kid an interesting moveset, but there you go. But no, it's not only one, but THREE movesets. Or rather, three characters. So, yeah.
-Hiro
And again with the multi-movesets, here's Hiro, the mysterious Asian kid everyone loves because nobody knows anything about him! People used to think that using a blade must force characters to become clones of Link or Marth. They might have a point as long as Sakurai designs the characters ( ooo, burn ), but Hiro proves that you can get a whole lot of diversity out of just different sorts of bladed weapons. And that is exactly why the next Smash game shall be created by us. You hear that, Nintendo! We're coming for you! *shakes fist*
-Roy Mustang
Ah, MetaLord. Where would we be without you? Kind of similar to Hiro, we're dealing with a guy here who can... use fire. That's it. MetaLord went and turned the sparkles into an inferno of ideas. With dragons. Everything's better with dragons. Now, let's have a look at the fire-type moves in Brawl. Fireball... Flamethrower.... Fireball... Flamethrower... see what I'm getting at?
-Somasu

-Taga
Taga was the first submission and immediately set a high standard. An original creation, a dragon who does NOT spit fire ( yay! ), and the creator actually drew images of his moves in pencils! The combination between the brawling-type fighting we know from our humanoid fighters, dinosaur-type fighting we know from Yoshi and the electric style Pikachu is known for, is quite intriguing and makes you curious to get to know more about the character.
-?????/Retsigam
I wasn't planning to vote for him but I'm afraid he'd kill me. Well, actually, I'm just kidding. With this character, MetaLord was apparently trying to create the ultimate Smash boss... which by extension makes him the definitive Nintendo villain, unlike some blue guy thing. This character has a whole library of moves that all refer to some popular overpowered moves from games that were on the Nintendo consoles at some point! The only part I don't get is the name... *rubs chin*
-Buddy
Awesome. Sheer awesome. I don't know whether to laugh or stare in awe. By extension, this automatically makes Buddy this roster's Captain Falcon. He's just pure, unadultered awesome and he rocks literally and figuratively. Then there's the fact that he's followed by his little fanboy. When I first skimmed over the moveset and saw that he's followed by a kid, I expected a moveset that allows you to switch between the two, where the kid is inexplicably faster than the taller one although that technically makes no sense, or a type of Ice Climber relationship, which, quite frankly, have lost their original value a while ago. But the way El_Duderino made this duo work is just brilliant. Read it yourself if you haven't yet!
-Cromag
The picture alone is worth a Super Vote. There's nothing left to say. ... what, three lines? Okay, so! First off, I don't get why several people pointed out that the character isn't deep or anything, because he still has a more interesting personality and backstory than many mainstream villains! Secondly, the moveset oozes brilliance. Some moves are a little awkward, while most others just PERFECTLY capture the wildness of this living tank. Brilliant.
-Chatu Ranga
Underrated! This guy's frikkin Snake... in a medieval fantasy setting! Don't tell me that's not awesome! What else is there to say? He has RWB's usual energy put into him – a wide movepool, a deep background with SEVERAL levels of detail... and all moves are based on chess and shogi. He's the kind of badass that just rocks, period.
-Comrade Canada
This moveset is a weird one. Comrade Canada didn't put an extraordinary lot of effort into the moves themselves, but provided photoshopped images and several blocks of text about other secondary stuff. The character himself is simply cool. I mean, many people are sick by now of angsty bishounen RPG anti-heroes with swords by now, but this guy is a REAL bishounen RPG anti-hero with a sword, for frig's sake!
-Zoro
Welcome back to “Fun With Weapons”! Today, we talk about how you use not two, but THREE swords! Yes, sir! This was MetaLord's first submission, and you could already see that he's putting his all into this. He drew several of the moves, gave them Japanese names, which was a really nice touch, referred to the series... and besides that, not voting for the One Piece character is against the law. Seriously.
-Chaos

-Etheream

-Keramon
The Nerd is one of the titans of this thread. This is one of his most underrated creations, which I can only attribute to a mistake in marketing. For one, Keramon's moveset is somewhat unspectacular, as it possesses few animations, kind of like Wario. But like Wario, it's used to good effect, except completely opposite to Wario, it just makes Keramon so much creepier than it already is! Part of it is possibly due to it being a Digimon. I dunno, I like them, but they might not be that popular among Nintendonites. But really, that makes it fit perfectly. It's a virus. In a video game. It eats data! PERFECT. Well, and the moveset of course displays the loving attention to detail and design that we know and love The Nerd for.
-Kurai

-Light
1. Death Note rocks. 2. MetaLord rocks. => Death Note + MetaLord = rocks hard.
Since a Light moveset that stays completely true to the source would be either absolutely overpowered, very boring, or worst of all, both, MetaLord took some liberties and went on to create a quite nifty moveset with creative uses for everything Light has at his disposal, in a way that might actually almost possibly be sort of balanced. And, I kid you not, I got shivers when I first read this moveset.
-Malandros Nyclo
An anti-villain with a tragic past involving murder and bloodshed? Sounds good. A werewolf with the ability to switch between human and feral form at will? Sounds good, too! Combine the two, and you got Malandros Nyclo. He's got backstory, two movesets that show interesting parallels to one another and all of it is written in a nice style that lets you easily imagine the way stuff works. Yay!
-Great Clay Monkey
This is one of the only fictional characters whom we saw photos of. Ohmygawd he's real! *ahem* Well, GCM put some visible effort into providing his namesake with a nice moveset. He made pictures of him, pictures for the moves... it's a solid moveset, and you can't just NOT vote for the clay character!
-Rythe
Try to breed Mewtwo with Ridley and pair the resulting offspring with a praying mantis, and you probably won't survive to report if it worked. If you succeeded, however, the result would be something like Rythe. The concept behind him is simple, but brilliant. Breeding a super-soldier Pokemon sounds just like something Team Rocket would do, and building it from one of the most stylishly badass Pokemon available, even more so. The detail The Nerd displays here is absurd. The description he gives a single move is more extensive and in-depth than some other full movesets in this thread, and I say this without hyperbole. It just.. it... just read it, for heaven's sake!
-Celebi&Mew
I'm a crotchety old man ( two decades counts as old, right? ), so I'm always skeptical when I see people attempting to give moveset-altering gimmicks to their characters. Of course, that skepticism never, ever lasts longer than a minute. And here's why: Celebi&Mew is a genuinely creative moveset. Not to mention that it's adorable. Reading it put a smile on my face, and when a moveset does that, it's a good moveset, end of discussion.
-Haruhi
This is the character I personally requested, so of course I'm going to vote for her. Haruhi is the only true god tier character! WHOO! Erm, I mean. This submission is definitely worth a read even if you don't know her yet. If you do, I can't fathom what could've stopped you from having done so already. It was written by the local authority on all things Haruhi – every move excellently suits her personality, her lack of special powers that she's aware of was cleverly circumvented by giving her the powers of her fellow Brigade members... it rocks, okay!
-Konata

-Viki
Kips put crazy effort into this moveset. I remember how he kept asking for possible things to add and for how to improve what he already had... I can't tell whether it's the best moveset in the fray, but it's probably the most polished. And not only effort makes this a worthy read. The character is just adorable, and it shows in the moveset. Reading it made me WANT her in the game. It would be a SIN if she didn't at least get into this here roster. And if you're too lazy to read, there's pretty videos, too!
-Aves
Aves was the first true breakthrough in character design here. He has everything. A cool character with a sweet design, now even pictured in a masterful MSPaint portait, an AMAZING backstory, and moves with clever ideas behind them as opposed to a random assortment of slashes and jabs. This post set standards here, and even after standards have risen higher and higher, it still stands strong as one of the most amazing submissions there are.
-Cena

-Sindel

-Elza
Elza's moveset's first and foremost quality: It's endearing. I've seen it start as a very small list of moves with a picture quickly created in MSPaint. It was rated among the lowest. Then Sabrewulf buckled up and worked to improve it. He added a lovely fairytale-like backstory, added onto the moves, added a second moveset with an interesting way used for the transformation, made me draw pictures of her and added pictures to the moves himself... It's just lovely, that's what it is.
-Howl

-Luggage
Sometimes I catch myself thinking that there are hardly any suitable characters left whom you could make interesting movesets of. And then comes along someone like El_Duderino, with the audacity to produce stuff like... this. And I love him for it. The Luggage is possibly the best representative available for the Discworld universe, it's unique in its style, personality and design, and it just works so darn well. Homicidal luggage. HOMICIDAL LUGGAGE!
-Mask Link

-Scrooge

-Polaris

-Tale Team
I've spent a long, long time working on Ike's moveset. RWB quite possibly spent at least twice as much time on this one. The Tale Team is indeed a TEAM of characters, which not only includes the ol' switching mechanism, but even two PAIRS of characters. All the movesets are complete and appear to work well. The switching mechanism is handled very interestingly. This moveset is simply HUGE, in more ways than size alone.
-Warxe

-Nietzsche
This was the first display of what MetaLord is really capable of. It was a revolution that shook up this contest. Anyone reading it for the first time was probably torn between thinking “what the hell Nietzsche?”, “haha this is awesome” and “holy crap where does that guy take those ideas from”... or some variation thereof. It doesn't sound like much, but this submission is entertaining to read, and coming from someone who can barely concentrate on a single paragraph without getting distracted by something every few seconds ( while writing this sentence, I got distracted a good two or three times ), this is just about one of the highest forms of praise possible.
-Genghis Khan
Inspired by the previous, many creators set out to create their own historical movesets. This one stands out as the most elaborate, accurate, interesting and overall awesome. Insurance Salesman avoided making Genghis a powerful swordsman and opted for a more realistic and more interesting portrayal, which is arguably much more awesome in the end. The guy uses a trebuchet, for frig's sake! Along with that comes a stage and tons of troops for his part in the SSE storyline as a villain, which I think nobody else has done to that extent.
-Don Quixote
Amazing character choice – check. Good moves that stay true to the source – check. Completely new game mechanics – check. This rocks. Don Quixote introduces a background character who takes part in some of the attacks by chance, he fights on horseback, he fights off horseback, and he's frikkin Don Quixote de la Mancha! Without him, They Might Be Giants might have a different name! Think about that one.
-Beethoven
I'll repeat, when I first saw this I was like “oh yay it was only a matter of time until someone pulls this one for brownie points with the german nerd fawriel haw haw”. I take that back and give a full brownie for every single letter in that sentence. I don't know how MetaLord can have acquired such knowledge of culture at such a young age, but the way he writes, I have no trouble believing him that he's always known and loved ol' Beethoven. This submission oozes of PASSION, and that's a rare one. It was fun to read, it swept me along, it has an Earthbound reference. I love it.
-Miku
Okay, so we already have a few music-based characters who use dance moves and we have characters who use music and musical notes and stuff, and we even have ditzy characters who attack “by accident” and at least one other who uses attacks based on computer programs and such. And we have adorable characters as well. But we have only one who combines all these. Miku is just wonderful and her moveset is creative. It rocks.
-Tori
And while we're on the subject of rocking, guess what Tori does. This is a horribly underrated submission. I think it was the first one based around music, employing “songs” as attacks by taking their themes literally. It was done very cleverly, and it impressed me. I feel guilty now for not having rated her highly at first because I hadn't heard of her and she didn't seem fitting. PrettyGoodYear added a biographical section for her now, and man, does she ever fit well. I don't know what else to say. Read it. It has puns. It has songs. It has a hot lady in torn-up clothes.

You didn't even read the rules or any of those movesets. :(

Uh, I probably won't be able to write reviews for characters before the deadline, so, just make the ones that I haven't writen reviews for regular votes.
As long as you get done sometime today, you're still in the clear...

Also, bump.
Complete list of reviews will be up soon.

this whole topic is confusing and then to throw in the word filter into it... I'm excited and confused at the same time about this thread.

I don't know if I'm getting the wrong message, but it was possible for me to make any character I wanted (fictional or real) of my creation or to base it off of an existing character?

Because if that is what I missed them I'm really sad :(, especially with stuff like anime puppets being submitted

Aah, that sucks. But, well, you can still submit a character moveset... it just won't participate in the contest, I'm afraid. But, there might be a second contest... *wiggles fingers*

Aaaand I just realized that it's almost time already for me to be forced offline and I still haven't finished my list of votes. Duh. Ah well, just... consider it complete. I'll add the rest of the reviews ( and some runners-up ) tomorrow. =P

What can I say? Somasu is simply solid. Compared to the best of the movesets this thread has to offer, he doesn't really stand out except for the pretty well-made picture of him that came in the package. But apart from that, he also has a good backstory, he has a style that works well, he has personality... No reason not to vote for him!
-Taga
Taga was the first submission and immediately set a high standard. An original creation, a dragon who does NOT spit fire ( yay! ), and the creator actually drew images of his moves in pencils!
Seriously.
-Chaos
Okay, so Chaos is just cool. I mean, for one he's made of water. Instant points with me. What's really awesome, though, is that he's one of those who managed to incorporate several movesets into one character in a really creative way - and all the moves are creative, as well. A few of them even have pictures! Yay!
-Etheream
Etheream oozes of effort. OddCrow provided images for a major part of the moves to help people imagine them. He's also an interesting original character. Most people would go for some sort of pale-skinned black-haired swordfighter for their mysterious being of power, but this one's quite different. Well, masses of energy aren't new, either, but his equipment makes him stand out. I'd really like to see this one in good 3D graphics with special effects and everything. Shiny!

-Konata
It's Konata. Enough said.
Okay, fine. RWB did her justice. Enough said.
What, you want an explanation? The moveset rocks! It has video material, it has references, it has Anime Tenchou, Anizawa Meito!... Come on, the word "Konata" alone should be enough to fill the 3-line limit.

-Mask Link
Three movesets in one means effort, which is always a plus. The creator also simply did a splendid job with the moves themselves. All in all, it's a solid moveset that's easy to read through. The formating is nice, Sir Bedevere gave some notes to help you visualize the way the character works... it's simply good.
-Cyberjunkie
Another underrated submission! People need more respect for Original Characters, says I. The moveset is complete, it has a base in an originally made game, it has drawn material, and the character is simply cool. I couldn't find it in my heart not to vote for a well-made character
-Polaris

-Warxe
A pretty overlooked moveset here. Warxe is a mage who brings some interesting stuff to the table. I enjoyed reading his moveset, and it had some interesting ideas in it, like the way Warxe moves around on ice that causes people to trip more often when they pass by him, or his shield-weapon. All in all, it's simply quite a good moveset and it's a cool character; what else do you need?
-AVGN
The Angry Video Game Nerd was The (presumably less angry) Nerd's first submission and already had a pretty high quality at the time. It incorporates lots of references to the AVGN's reviews, some of which are downright hilarious, and even more references to his attitude, which are just as hilarious. Not only that, but the character is just perfect for this game. I mean, think about it. Think about it!
-Chiyo+Osaka
This submission caused a bit of confusion for me because apparently, it's two in one, and both are completely different. That was also a problem because I still used the system where I rated everything myself, and boy, am I glad that I stopped with it. The reason is that I didn't like Chiyo's moveset as much as Osaka's – it's pretty nonsensical because Chiyo just happens to be more powerful than Ike with no real explanation. Osaka is a bit similar in that respect, but I would expect Osaka to be so absent-minded that she could bend reality. In either case, both movesets are sufficiently wacky to be adequate representatives of Azumanga Daioh, and that's what it's all about!
-Flying Dutchman
And here's another one who set standards, right after Aves' moveset. While we already had a big, extensive moveset or two before this, Flying Dutchman had something that was pretty much unheard of before: It had style. FD's eponymous creator wrote his submission in a way that really makes you feel he had fun doing it. And not only that, the moveset is brilliant, not only because it introduces an interesting move-canceling mechanic. It's a must-read, really.
-Cursor
This is one in a long line of characters I hate, but movesets that make up for it. I freely admit, I don't like the prospect of characters who aren't actual characters filling up the roster. But ****, this thing rocks. The entrance on its own makes the character worthwhile, the “Taunt” taunt alone already justifies a Super Vote. It just works too darn well thanks to the creator's brilliant ideas, so I have no choice but to give it a Super Vote.
-Porkman
It be a stickman. With that out of the way, it be a stickman who actually makes use of his stickfulness, which makes up for the lack of design. As we are used to from RWB, this one had an insane amount of effort put into him, with images for his attacks, an image for his SSE stage, a boss, mini-boss... heck, he even has a banner! One of the largest movesets around, so although it is not my type of character, I have no choice but to vote for it.

Finally got around to doing this. >_< I organized this into three sub-headings, My Characters in which I (shamelessly) promote my characters and say a little about how I feel about them, Super Votes, where I...give my Super Votes, obviously, and Regular Votes...yeah. I won’t give any honourable mentions, though. And without further ado, here’s my list!

My Characters
Mask Link - This is definitely my favourite character out of my 4. I love how his move set turned out, though I wish he could be a little more true to Majora…Majora was my favourite Zelda game and I loved Link’s transformations, but I wish there were more attacks I could add from MM into my character, and wasn’t forced to invent moves. Otherwise, he’s a great character and you should check him out. :p

Chell- Chell claims the second spot for favouritism for me. I never actually played Portal (and she’s the only one of the 4, too. I borrowed MM from a friend once and fell in love with it, and right now I have an emulated version of it on my computer. I own Billy Hatcher and beat it, too, a considerable feat considering how difficult the game is. And Cursor…I believe I have had previous experience with him yes) though I am looking in to getting me a copy of Orange Box for PC. I love her use of Portals, and had tons of fun thinking of Portal Combos.

Cursor- I’m the opposite of Fawriel when it comes to him. I loved the idea of Cursor, but wasn’t really happy with how he turned out. No, not because I couldn’t “stay true to his background”, like for Mask Link, but because he’s SO GOD**** OVERPOWERED!!! >=O Srsly. His B-Side can gimp any recovery, his Down-B can steal people’s effin health, and he has TWO methods of recovery, both insanely unfair. Sure I COULD go back and change it but…it’s just so darn cool! :’( I adore him for his overpoweredness, yet hate him for it at the same time. He’s my third favourite of my 4.

Billy Hatcher- …I don’t know. I just don’t feel like I was channelling the spirit of the game when I made his move set. Billy Hatcher is an incredible game (GO BUY IT NAO! >=O) but I feel like he’s a little…lacking. Like an egg, to me at least, he’s just so…plain. I still like him, but he needs…something. I’m probably confusing everyone with this. @_@ Moving on to Super Votes...

Super Votes
The Super and Regular Votes are organized in whatever the hell order I feel like.

1. Anon- Awesome character is awesome. Being a lurker of 4Chan, I know that the creator speaks the truth. Accurate, uses memes, and best of all, a real joy to read. I was originally going to Regular Vote for this, because memory told me that most of his Up attacks were Anon jumping for joy, but my memory turned out to be crap. And, unlike my accursed Cursor, he actually doesn’t seem overpowered. I should take a note from Kirby MD, lololol. Why isn’t this thing !’d? >=O

2. Cromag- Oh yeah. Not only is this character well written and incredibly detailed, but the character itself in kick@ss. I can actually visualize all the moves as the creator says them to me. And the whole metal thing is really cool. Heck, ALL his B-moves are cool. For most of his moves, there is equal risk and punishment as there is reward. Slightly overpowered though, but as the creator of Cursor, I don’t particularly give a dam. >=) I dub thee, awesome!

3. Scrooge McDuck- DETAIL OVERLOAD 37895799 SHUTTING DOWN. Lol, but seriously, I love this character. The creator’s use of pictures both illustrates the moveset, and the fact that the creator clearly likes the character as well. You can see that the creator has been a Scrooge fan for many years...I think. Very original and creative moveset, and the Upb made me laugh. And, it seems balanced. A little too weak, actually. But I suppose that makes it all the better though, hm?

4. Angry Video Game Nerd- First off, nerdgasm from me for knowing every single thing in this moveset is completely accurate, and I don’t believe a single move was made up (much like my Sean Connery, kekeke). This sounds exactly like the kind of gimmick character I would play, yet it still retains some values that make it "normal". And, ala Cromag, his B moves are sweet. Wish there was sh** pickle, though. It’s funny, well-written (as all of Nerd’s posts are) and overall a joy to read.

Rigging the enemy base with explosives, which is l
this whole topic is confusing and then to throw in the word filter into it... I'm excited and confused at the same time about this thread.

I don't know if I'm getting the wrong message, but it was possible for me to make any character I wanted (fictional or real) of my creation or to base it off of an existing character?

Because if that is what I missed them I'm really sad :(, especially with stuff like anime puppets being submitted
hey don't be downin on puppet children. And yes unfortunately that is what you missed. You are aloud to post any character you want from anything including your noggen. You can still make one it just won't be in the contest to be on the character select screen.

Fawriel, I'm putting all of my votes here. I will remove the earlier vote posts, and have you read this complete vote list instead. Yush!

Super Votes- 3 Points
---------------------------------
1. Cromag.
Just plain über. Not only does this character have the arguably most unique and interesting moveset out of all the characters... but he also has the clearly most in-depth descriptions, making me visualize almost exactly how he moves(Ike stole this spot however)! While his backstory is a bit underwhelming, the insane amount of detail and unique moves more than makes up for that! Favorite moves? ALL of them. Cromag was the #1 Entry in this contest until Ike was finished, hands down!

2. Elza
Elza started out as a pretty pathetic character, with lame descriptions, hard to read text and very little detail. However, over time, it grew to become one of the most unique, Breathtaking movesets there is in this contest. A true "From Zero to Hero"! Favorite moves are definitely "Energy Balls" and "Sparking Confetti".
Also, plus for pics and a cute backstory, Really made me think of Beauty and the beast, which is a favorite fairytale of mine. Also, Faw might have some hand in the success, as his renditions of her forms is just WAY cute.

3. Fawriel
Can you say "Great read"? Really detailed, with insanely funny ways of presenting each move, not to mention that I like the way he moves. Also, it's a very extensive moveset with that transformation. Fawriel also has a great backstory thrown in... Can you say top class? Favorite moves is "Creative!" and "Sarcasm", without a doubt.

4. Aves
Copperpot might be the number one moveset maker, seeing as both his characters really wowed me. While aves moveset is about as unique as Cromags, it lacks the deatail of the former. Copperpot makes up for it by Aves having the propably most intricate back story out of all characters, even if it isn't the same length as that of Cena, it managed to get me a lot more interested in Aves than in Cena.

5. Nog
A carton playable? Takes a lot of creativity to do that. Nog is not only a brilliant idea if pulled of right... Nog is a brilliant idea already pulled of right! With a very hilarious moveset, and one of the more informative move property descriptions! Nog is a shocking example of just what a genius could come up with for a fighting game character! Impressive! My favorite move would have to be the Grab, funnily enough!

6. Rythe
Wow, The Nerd really outdid himself on this one... Rythe has one of, if not the most, descriptive movesets in the entire contest! Not to mention his unique way of functioning. I love how he has a sweetspot that is hard to make use of! And really, for a Pokémon, Rythe has quite the background, being a team rocket creation! Out of all his moves, the "Limited Flight" really is my favorite!

7. Flying Dutchman
Wow, is this guy ever unique? The air treck alone seems very interesting, and the rest of the moveset really shows him to be a really funny, awkward character! His moveset is quite clearly the most hilarious one in the contest! Also, it's written very well, and descriptions aren't lacking! Favorite move... Well... All the throws and the Up aerial are quite nice. Go Flying Dutchman!

8. Sindel
Sindels moveset isn't the most unique or breathtaking one I've seen, far from it. It is however very well detailed, and really tells a bit about the way the character moves! What really makes her(and Cena) stand out is her background, it's the size of whale, and the quality is still quite high! Sindel rides on her past to a super vote! Favorite move? Don't really have one... nothing really stands out.

9. Cena
Cena is very much like Sindel, his moveset is a bit underwhelming although it is quite a bit better than Sindel's, but like Sindel's it's very detailed. His background, while interesting, is not quite up to par with Sindels. However, having an entire novel for a background is never a bad thing! Cena rides on detail and story to a 3 point vote! Favorite move would be Ice spiral, although as with Sindel, no move really strikes my fancy that much at all.

10. Viki
What can I say? Rivaling Rythe for move detail, and she has a much more pleasant and funny moveset than he has! Viki is very well-described and with such great moves to use for fun as her "Ready!", she won't get boring to play with! Also, the amount of time invested in writing on her background can't have been small, and the reading is a pleasure! Kips, I applaud you for a very nice read!

11. Buddy
Amazing. It's like Ice Climbers but better, with the unique moves used by the characters although they are supposed to co-work! The Kid really makes this moveset great, although it would have been really good even without him! Buddy is here to kick some serious arse, and with such a detailed comical working moveset, he is gonna get my full permission. Go Buddy!

12. Roronoa Zoro
Very unique for a swordsman, but what else should I expect, he wield three of them... With pictures, loads of detail, and a bit of creativity, MetaLord manages to score this pirate a 3 point vote! Out of his moves, his attack taunt is just the greatest, hands down! Zoro is fighting like a true pirate, and I speak Pirate of the everlasting Pirate vs Ninja Argument!

13. ?????/Retsigam
This is one of the absolute top dogs, and MetaLords number one moveset. Retsigam has 4 or more lines of description on every single move, yet it's so well written that you don't even get slightly bored. Also, by being a very projectile-heavy moveset, this one stands out as very unique. Favorite Moves are just about every single one, though "The Fragrance of Black Coffee" makes me smile. A lot.

AND....

Best in Test

14. Ike

****...

Ike is beyond hardcore. His moveset is by far and away easily the most detailed in the entire contest, and Fawriel, as always, deliver his descriptions with quite a bit of humorous flair, making this possibly the funniest moveset to read. This guy is surpassing Fawriel himself easier than he takes a dump, and steals Cromags #1 spot without that much of a challenge.

GAME, SET AND MATCH, IKE.

Favorite move would be "Flare to Windmill combo". All the moves are still marvelous.

15. Porkman. Really, I believe the fact that I actually drew the entire moveset and gave detailed explanations together with the fact that there really isn't a character that has such a distinct way of fighting qualifies him for a vote. That's what I think, but you are free to call me biased if you want to.

16. Tale Team. This moveset took me ages. It was the result of quite a lot of work, both of hand and mind, but I believe the result was worth the trouble. It has what is needed for a moveset to qualify for a vote, I think.

17. Fuego. The way Fuego moves is a rather peculiar one, and I'm really proud of both his moveset and his background!

18. Hugo. His way of fighting is completely unique, with the stance game. Also, he's one of the rather few "cute" characters. With potentially the richest amont of songs, he would also bring an edge that way!

19. Chatu Ranga. My bread and butter character... Extensive Backstory, and a unique moveset with good property explanation, what more could I possibly give you?

20. Ronia. Ronia's moveset is not exactly the most detailed, but it really doesn't lack detail either, and from what I've seen, she has quite unique moves. And to a certain degree, it might just be sentimentality, as Ronia's was the first moveset I made.

21. Conan. Not only do I believe I captured Conans way of acting, but I also believe the stat altering alternate outfits is a nice touch!

22. Farthing Fox. One of very few quadriped movesets, and a very well pulled off one, if I may say so myself!

23. Comrade Canada

24. Feraligatr

25. Scrooge. The way this character's moves work are propably the most unique in this entire contest. Not to brag, honestly, the Grab cancel really gives him a way of fighting that no one really can copy. Likely one of my better movesets, if not the very best of them, that's for sure!

26. Yoda
27. Keramon
28. Furret
29. Haruhi

30. Konata. Riddled with anime and videogame moves, I believe I really captured the spirit of Konata, and feel proud enough of the moveset that I believe a vote for it is in order.

31. Arceus
32. Polaris
33. Nietzche
34. Genghis
35. Don Quixote
36. Ludwig van Beethoven
37. Angry Video Game Nerd
38. Chiyo-chan&Osaka
39. The Salesman
40. Warner Brothers
41. Al Gore

42. Christer Lindarw- I believe Christer have quite some good detail to his moveset, and I believe he is very unique in his way of moving, myself!

43. Cursor

44. Temali. A rather unique character in terms of how she moves... and she is definitely not your average heroine with a great body, as her species makes her look more like a muscular dude!

45. Pippi. Possibly not justified, but as with Konata, I do believe I captured Pippi's way of acting really well, and that she deserves a vote.

46. Anonymous
47. a mage girl
48. Hiro
49. Taga
50. Kenji

And a couple more runner ups, all of which were close to getting a full vote...

Runner up Group(1 point):
--------
Sasuke
Warxe
Socrates (MetaLord)
Bobobo
CD-i Link
Great Clay Monkey
King Ganonidas Boss
Spyro
Odysseus
Mikelo Chrors

Thanks for the votes, guys. Man, I'm late. SWF was down a lot, so I couldn't be any faster... but in the end , I gots me some more votes, so yay for that.

The booth is closed now and I'll try to collect the votes as soon as possible while giving myself a chance to maintain a private life ( if I may? )... Unfortunately, my online time is restricted now to counter my addiction, so it might take a while. Sorry about that.

Well... that's over with then, I guess. I wanted to give Don Quixote his Super-Vote, but I had no time. Kind of lame, but oh well. Well, I can't wait to see who gets in. Any characters that we think are obviously going to get in?

I'm betting Anonymous for sure, and probably Light, Rythe and Fawriel as well.

I say Anonymous has the best chance but if you look at the votes there are some trends on who people voted for. Also like Fawriel said there may be another contest hosted by someone else. (That was foreshadowing right there kids take notes)

Metal Gear Awesome style Snake

~Miscellaneous~
Basic Info: Think Toon Link, but with Snake. In other words, he's mostly a clone. He has a few differences that make him unique, though. Anything not listed is the same as Snake's. Watch the video or you probably wont understand the moves.

Stats:
Size: *** Snake was a slightly above average sized character in Brawl, so a cartoonish version should be a little smaller.
Weight: *** He's not that big or heavy, but he's got a lot of heavy equipment.
Power: *** A lot of his attacks are ordinance based and very powerful, but his body weight and strength detract from his overall power.
Speed: *** He's not very little, but he's very fit. On the other hand, he caries a lot of heavy equipment.
Jump: ** Just like regular Snake, he never actually jumps in his games, so he's not very good at it.
Fall Speed: *** See speed description.

~Smashes~
Down smash: Sweat Blast- He holds up his arms and pushes opponents away with a massive blast of sweat. Knock back with no damage, like a lot of FLUDD’s attack’s. Related quote: "****, I just killed a dog by sweating!"

~Specials~
Neutral Special: Hand Gun- He shoots the nearest opponent in the head like the DARPA Chief and the ArmsTech president (In the movie, not the game). Obviously not fatal. It does no knock back but a lot of damage, say about 20%. Related Quote: "Colonel, the DARPA Chief just died of a heart attack! I don't know what happened. Metal Gear. Whatever"

Up Special: Claymore- He gets blasted upwards by a bunch of claymores and flails wildly through the air, but more or less in a straight line, as seen near the beginning of Metal Gear Awesome 2. Remember, they explode almost immediately after appearing. If they touch some one else before MGA Snake falls on them, they stop appearing and the move ends, but damages the opponent, which makes it a semi-effective suicide move. The explosion of the Claymores themselves are like the explosions from Motion Sensor Bombs.

Final Smash: Inferred Lasers- Unlike regular inferred lasers, these hurt. They damage everyone, but MGA Snake takes a ration which returns his percentage to what it was before the attack. The other characters aren't so lucky. Does about 80% damage, but no knock back.

~Non-Attack Moves~
Entrance: Rises up from a pool of water which quickly disappears. He says "I hate this suit!" and takes off his scuba suit.

Up Taunt: He pulls out a gun and says “The safety’s on!” then it turns into a balloon animal and he eats it.

Side Taunt: Smokes the cigarettes he had in his stomach, saying the appropriate quote. Again, from the second movie.

Down Taunt: Points at the nearest female character and says “**** right I’m gonna hit that!” Doesn’t work if there aren’t an female characters on the stage.

Victory Pose: Contacts Meryl on his Codec (You don't see it, you just hear him talking.) and says "Hey hotness, what's up? I'm done here."

~Related~
Assist Throphy: Metal Gear Awesome style Grey Fox- First, he talks to the character who summoned him, to make things simple lets use Yahtzee as an example. He grabs their shoulder and says "[Yahtzee]! Hurt me! A lot! Please!", the character responds and Grey Fox continues "More [Yahtzee], hurt me more dog!" then finishes with "I'm so ******* crazy!". Then he starts slinging himself around the stage, and has the same effect as a purple pikmin when he lands on another character.

I don't know that seems like cheating making a clone like that...
I figured it wouldn't matter that much since the actual contest is over. It just seemed like a neat idea.

...well anyways just wondering what happens if snake gets killed by his FS dose the ration restore his stock and make his % go up.
His Final Smash doesn't actually do any knock back, just a helluva lot o' damage. Like 60% to anyone it hits. If he gets it in Stamina Mode I suppose the ration would just return the health he had before hand.
