And yes, I'm basically admitting that I was wrong about Nabe, Xastrn. I was possibly wrong to push it, but it just seemed fishy after we already had another unprovoked claim. >_<

I've also never had any games so far where we had claims like that D1, so that doesn't help either.

I'm ready to move on and lynch someone else, so I'll Vote: RR and get back to where I was in the first place before this Nabe crap.

@Circus: Haha, yeah, but it wasn't a BAD heat except for a couple points like me vs Rockin at first, Xsyven's ninja lynch, and me vs you. I might be biased since it was my first, but it was my favorite game so far.

I dislike Kantrip as well. I got a huge blending feel from that as well as a lot of reads that were off, similar to T-Block.

Mafia 101 for everyone here:

No one can be mafia in a vacuum. Their actions always mean something and they're always connected to their scummates in some way. It isn't always clean cut; no one is perfect. But people will fall along the same lines. If you read back in old mafia games and you see someone avoiding their scummates on D1, they're along the same lines on D3 and D4 and so on until they're forced to do otherwise. If they're loud on D1, they're loud on D3. Quiet on D1, quiet on D3.

They're always connected to others.

Lists like this:

2. Frio
3. Werekill

Don't help town. At all.

Riddle me this, how are Overswarm, Frio, and Werekill connected? Do you gain any knowledge on any of the other two by lynching another?

Playing the short game and going off hunches you aren't figuring out is a sure way to lose. I haven't put much effort into this game, partially because I've been busy and partially because geeze people, but you guys have to learn this. For this game and all others.

Play the long game. You will never, ever, in the history of the universe, consistently peg scum on D1. It isn't possible if scum is competent or town is incompetent. You have even less of a chance of catching all three scum.

So find your target. Pick 'em out of the crowd for whatever reason, then figure it out from there. You notice that certain players are taking a lot of interest in a few people, or avoiding others? Set traps for them. Highlight incongruities. If you think someome wants to kill inactives and that's scummy, don't say "that's an easy lynch". Convince town that others are inactive and see if he comments openly like he did with the other. If he doesn't, question him directly and get him to give stances on all the inactives. If he has differing opinions for no reason and later flips scum, you know those differing opinions were for a reason. That's playing the long game. Playing the short game is just lynching him for it and crossing your fingers.


Anyway, back to work.

@dabuz, what do you mean by it not looking like I went anywhere with my post? It's apparent you think that's indicative of bad town play, but where would you want it to go in order for you to believe it was scummy? Why is not going anywhere dumb and not scum?

It was a post that didn't bring town close to finding a lead, therefore it was a bad post IMO. Note that just because a post isn't helpful, does not mean its scum.

I didn't really have anything worthwhile to respond to it with. The common opinion was that my questions were shallow and didn't help, and that the rest of my post was commentary, so, responding to it would of contributed nothing.

Look at it this way.

I say something
you say "explain yoself"

I do, and you get to say "I am satisfied" but my previous statement no longer has the same impact it did for whatever reason. If you say "where were you on april 10th" and I say "In disneyland", everyone knows I can't say I was anywhere else later. Likewise, if I ask someone else "where were you on april 10th" and you ask me "why", if I respond "I want to see he is in disneyland" then everyone knows to not respond disneyland. See the different situations those questions are useful? Do you have an actual purpose with that question? Will it answer my alignment for you?

You're doing the same thing with Xastrn. You ever consider that Xastrn buddying me is the norm, and doesn't matter? Or maybe he's doing it deliberately to get reads off of me or maybe even protect himself, since I have a history of not NKilling my buddied town players as scum? You won't know the answer simply by asking; you have to bird watch. But you didn't. Instead you called it out and allowed it to become a "thing", a thing which can be manipulated.

You ever see a cute girl and be like "wow, she's cute" and then she makes eye contact with you, grins, and starts attempting to look more attractive in the way she walks? The situation has changed simply because it is obvious that you are observing it.

Tell me T-block, what am I observing? What have I disturbed?

And why?

You only had so much fun because you were the Cop and you basically got to dash scum's chances for victory to bits.

Also, did you totally forget the **** that went down between EE and FF? That's the heat that I remember most from that game. I don't even consider the heat between me and you, because I manufactured a lot of it just for the sake of trying to get you lynched. Very little of the emotion behind what I was saying to you was real. I was scum; you were the Cop who knew I was scum. In that moment, we became a snake and a mongoose. I had to double down against you if I wanted to even try to stand a chance of living for one more Night.

BUT NONE OF THIS IS RELEVANT TO THIS GAME I'M SORRY EVERYONE.

Do you not agree that this is disturbingly weak reasoning for wanting him "dead so badly?" He's your TOP lynch candidate, and this is the best you've got? "He's a good Day 1 lynch" doesn't mean anything. Plenty of people would make "good" Day 1 lynches, just by virtue of being lynches at all. Why is Ryu the best? What makes him better than John or Panta or Frio or me or anyone else? You should be able to answer this now, considering the way you've been dogging Ryu already. What you're saying here seems to be "I know I want to lynch Red Ryu, but I need him to post some stuff for me to use against him before I actually give you a real case on him." You're putting the verdict before the trial. The cart before the horse. The ketchup before the burger patty. Etcetera.

I WANT him dead a lot more than we NEED him dead. His playstyle is irritating as all hell, and is anti-town. there are several other good lynches toDay, particularly Werekill, and I'm not suggesting that Red Ryu is the only good choice.

I'm well aware that my reasonings for him needing to die are not bulletproof. As I've been saying all Day, day 1 lynches are NEVER bulletproof. They are always sketchy at best. that's why I tend to not go all in and get gung-ho about day 1 lynches. I'll be happy to see a werekill lynch toDay, and I can tolerate a few other possibilities. But I'll cheer when Red Ryu is dead because he is deliberately being anti-town AND being deliberately obnoxious about it.

AA gifs got super OLD like 4 years ago, and are a sign of a troll on these boards. Posting Friday gifs is like the definition of forcing a meme.
