is it better to fly to gold coast or brisbane? i'd like to organize my flights in the next couple of days.

Sup guys, I'm wondering if anyone has any room left for housing/hotel room split costs. I acquired funds, but sadly said funds would be stretching pretty tight if I were to book flights and paid solo accommodation for the whole trip :p That being said, I'm totally up for splitting hotel costs if anyone's got any spare room in their... er... room lol.

I'm looking at heading up a few days beforehand, to catch up with people/explore Brisbane. Haven't sorted out dates as of yet as I literally won the money like 30 minutes ago, and it's 3am, and I'm tired :p Probably will edit this tomorrow when I have some time to look at flights lawl.

You're welcome to stay at mine but ai live nearly 2 hours away from Brisbane lawl. I'm also willing to split accomodation costs with you for the weekend. There's a place across the road from lansmash (which I'll have to google map it cause I forget the name) that you can stay at.

Alright, so a 2 person room (could we sneak in 3 or 4 lol?) would be $125 per night Fri/Sat/Sun and $155 all other nights. It comes down to how long we should stay there for - I was thinking of getting to Brisbane on the Wednesday of that week, and leaving the following Tuesday ($840 so $420 each if it's just us two).

Either/or (and don't feel pressured, this is merely a suggestion ^^) we could only stay for Fri/Sat/Sun nights in Brisbane ($375 so ~$187.50 each), I could take the late plane on Monday (or early Tuesday morning - sleeping at airports is for awesome people :D) and get housing Wed and Thurs. Definitely the cheaper option, but it's a buttload more effort :p

Regardless of options, Comfort Inn is definitely within my price range, so I'm happy staying there :D

Hey I can stay fri sat night there. Maybe sunday night. Could probably find a couple of others who wanna stay there too over the weekend

Sick - I (obviously) want to minimise costs so if we can get extras then booyah. I definitely won't be able to stay at the hotel by myself though :p So if anyone's willing to house me Wed + Thurs + Sun nights (? since I won't be playing Melee I might just leave on the Sunday if it's too hard :p) night I'll be super grateful!

EDIT: After watching the news, I reckon we shouldn't be even thinking about this right now. Stay safe QLD!

The bad thing about the weather is, with the La Nina effect, theres 2 more heavy rain/cyclone periods forecast for SEQ in EARLY FEBRUARY and early March.

Expect wetness.

This could work out. I might end up with a carload of like 3 or max 4. I personaly don't mind sleeping in my car or wherever (after spending two nights sleeping in a non-reclining chair and one night on hard, wooden floors without blankets or pillows at HTC2, I can literally sleep anywhere).

Man, I don't even know who I'm driving yet... I'm so disorganised x.x

Hate holidays... Makes me too lazy...
