Because they want to teach him a lesson.
Honestly...
Or I'm just having fun with my posts and you're extrapolating one of my posts to the entirety of town. :B
Listen up:
This is mafia. You have town, you have scum, and sometimes independents.
Scum has every conceivable advantage except for numbers. This means Town can make mistakes in lynches and that scum has to try to move the lynch to someone that isn't them so they keep the number advantage as small as possible.
Town has PRs that can potentially hurt scum in some way by either directly killing them or indirectly preventing their actions from being as effective (doc protecting someone or thought to be protecting someone, etc.).
Town doesn't know what PRs are out there in the beginning, and you can't really just claim on D1 and say "now we do this" and win. Especially since someone can easily lie.
Town has to catch scum when they are lying or doing something anti-town.
"Anti-town" is hard to catch, because sometimes people just straight up make mistakes in logic or posting and you feel like you've caught scum when really you've caught someone who is stupid.
Lying? Lying is not hard to catch. Sometimes a change in opinion is misconstrued as a lie, so it is important for town to effectively illustrate their changes in logic, but generally lies are straight forward.
Kuz here lied about a posting restriction, and I called him out on it.
Given a chance to say "I just am posting like this for the hell of it", he declined.
I asked him if he was embellishing.
Given a chance to say "Yes, I'm adding the giggle and stuff just for the hell of it", he decided instead to say he wasn't embellishing in any way shape or form.
I showed him that he had either broken his restriction or was completely lying.
Since then, he has stopped posting in italics and says he deliberately faked a posting restriction to act scummy.
This is stupid.
Imagine for a moment he is town. If he's a vanilla townie, faking a posting restriction might not be a bad idea. Lots of PRs sometimes have posting restrictions, so this could confuse mafia and get them to kill a vanilla townie N1. That can be okay. Sometimes posting restrictions could be made to fake-claim something later, like amnesia cop or the like (one of my original plans for Bioware).
If he's a power role, ALL HE IS DOING IS BRINGING ATTENTION TO HIMSELF. That's stupid.
Second, he did it to ACT SCUMMY? Not only do you LYNCH scummy players...
He's trying to convince us that he deliberately made a small mistake in his posting restriction in hopes that someone would find it so we'd think he was scummy.
That's ********, and I don't think he planned on anyone catching it and I think he did not do it on purpose.
Kuz is an easy lynch for toDay.
When catching liars is the best way to catch scum, you don't lie as town. Lynch All Liars exists for a reason, and this is that reason.
Someone hammer.
