Lol.

Also, while not Lucina related, this made me laugh way more than it should have.

IF YOU LIKED LEGCINA YOU'LL LOVE THIS!!!
you Troll, :D

He's doing to mess with him for marrying Lucy...
I dunno, I kinda think its funny that Chrom really would be confused, even if he's no where near that stupid.

Also, gah, when with finals week end *sobs*. I am probably going to have to delay the new chapter of A Future Disowned by an week, since I'm no where close to finishing it due to workload.

Ah. What FE would you guys recommend? I kinda want Marth because hes cute.
Don't let them lie to you, Shadow Dragon is pretty good. It is hard as balls and it is more bare bones then what you are used to, but the game is still really solid. The remake is MUCH MUCH better than the original. The original was awful comparatively. That just goes with any old game though. Cannot for the life of me play the original Mario 1 or Zelda 1. They are too archaic.

The story of Shadow Dragon is good, the characters are all really enjoyable and it is a solid game.

Also, whatever game Lyn is in is available on the Wii U VC now.

And just as a general warning, don't play the one with Roy in it. Its bad.

You say THIS is bad?

Shame on you. :seuss:
Someone needs to make a rom hack of Fire Emblem 6 where the only thing that's different is that prince Roy is replaced with Roy the Koopaling and has new dialogue. Everyone else's dialogue is the same. I would so play that.

Get on it creative people.

I agree that it's a solid game in its own right. It just doesn't stand up particularly well in the context of what it was both preceded (the Tellius games) and followed by (FE12 and Awakening). The original's lack of depth is more forgivable, since it was an NES game, and the first in the series. Shadow Dragon came along 18 years later, so you would expect it to have included at least some of the features introduced to the series since 1990 - support conversations in particular, since without them most characters have absolutely no depth outside of their recruitment scene - and for a lot of people, characters are a large part of why they enjoy Fire Emblem. For someone relatively new to the series, at least, I would not recommend it. I'd only recommend it to someone explicitly looking for the more challenging side of Fire Emblem.

In my opinion, I found almost all of them uninteresting and forgettable. Even Marth doesn't do anything to get my interest - it wasn't until FE12 that I saw any depth to him. Maybe because it's been too long since I last played FE11, but I'd struggle to name any particular stand-out moments in his character development in that game.

I guess it boils down to what you enjoy most about FE - if you're looking for a challenge, you'll get some mileage out of Shadow Dragon. But if you go in looking for any of the bells and whistles of more recent entries, or like keeping everyone alive while recruiting all characters, you're going to be sorely disappointed.

And just as a general warning, don't play the one with Roy in it. Its bad.
Roy Koopa jokes aside, I'll give you that one. The plot's pretty basic, and Roy is bland. I find no particular reason to either like or dislike him, he's just there to serve the purpose of "do-gooder lord character", and that's about all he does. Supports are flat too - you can certainly tell it was their first attempt at them.

To be fair, there's no official translation of FE6, and since the only translations available are done by the fans, the quality probably suffers big time.

I remember plenty of noteworthy moments from that game. I wish they would have translated the mystery of the emblem remake that came out after Shadow Dragon's success, since it included the atleast some of newer bells and whistles (as well as /I believe/ the first avatar character) and Shadow Dragon's point (which is bringing Marth to America for Smash players) becomes sort of moot due to not getting a chance to play the other half of the story.

Binding blade is just sub par in terms of gameplay, and it is almost-as-broken-as Awakening due to being able to grind in the arenas nonstop until Roy isnt awful (though, lets be honest, he is pretty much the worst character in the game. He is definately stat-wise the worst lord ever.)
Any good plot that could have came out of it is ruined by Roy. He is so so SO whiny and useless. If you don't see why you should dislike him, play again. He spends what feels like 2/3rds of the game whining and making other people carry his deadweight because of how useless he is. He is a child, like Marth was. Unlike Marth, who was reserved, respectful, cunning, charming, and strong- Roy is just a nuisance. The game would have gone better without him, and might have been mildly enjoyable and just average.
Past chapter 10, the game is basically like an escort mission, but Roy is a frail, blind leper that literally has to be picked up and carried by the rest of the cast.
Sword of Seals is the only thing that makes Roy even playable, but that isnt fair to the game because it is ridiculously broken.

Roy's only okay appearance was in PM, because he is playable, and doesnt need to have his mates carry him to the healer every time they blink.

You say THIS is bad?

Shame on you. :seuss:
This would make the game literally 10000000000000000000000000000000 times better.

So, I ran into the two strangest streetpasses twoday.

One basically was a team consisting only Robin that was a Sorcerer running Swordbreaker, Lancebreaker, Bowbreaker, Axebreaker, and Limit Break, with his flaws and assets chosen to max out Resistance. This was apparently an Lunatic + (on Cassual) with no pairings other than Chrom x Sumia. So, um, sounds like an attempt to solo Lunatic + with just Robin.

I actually tried to beat him 1 on 1, but lost, so I instead had to send in Aether Morgan, destroyer of worlds, to beat him.

The other playthrough wasn't unusual so to speak, but this player had filled his team's inventory with all the perminent stat increase items, 1 of each seal, and an portal, which basically means I and anyone else who spotpasses him can buy all of said useful items off of him. What a nice person.

I know your pain. I have a very hard final tomorrow.
Oooh, if you do this, I want to help.
Absolutely! I might work on coming up with them after finals. I'd happily Gimp them too as to what they'd look like if they resembled their non-Robin parent more if I had better Gimp/Photoshop skills. The most I can do is change robe color.

So I was browsing for information on tomes when I came across an official Awakening comic. While it's relatively short and doesn't provide anything new outside of some very minor character development, it's an entertaining read that I would suggest everyone to read.

Apparently there were others out there besides those. One of the things that is revealed is how Lucina was able to beat Lon'qu with a single blow: Lon'qu realized she was a girl, thus froze and lowered his defenses.
