My guess is that Lucina is going to be unlocked based on beating Classic with Marth or something.
How "beginner friendly" a character may be is not a factor I see really affecting unlockability.

Yeah, I think so too. Considering that she's Marth's descendant, I wouldn't be surprised. Though, having her as an available character right off the bat kinda limits and lowers the amount of other characters that you would need to unlock. Wouldn't you agree?

Firmly believe she'll be a starter. Her game-play so far described, she's a novice skill-level Marth. When Marth is now the 'harder to learn / play, harder to master', why would Marth be a starter? Take it from a new Smash Player's perspective plus anyone's else perspective of starting out fresh.
Marth getting changes making him not so simple to play, imo he should be unlockable. Lucina who was going to be an alternate gender swap like Robing, WFT, & Villager, probably lead Marth/Lucina being a starter, but now separated due to Lucina's Falchion(?) getting a well-balanced out sword with no tip mechanics, unlike Marths Falchion. Easier to play Marth = Easier beginning of learning / playing.

Sounds like a starter to me. I hope she's a starter, if only to have a main set in stone if

Yeah I post in between recording sessions and editing footage which can take a long time. Also even though I'm still excited for the game and Lucina, I don't know what else can be hashed out about her moves or even her romantic relationships until the game comes out.
ONce I watch that stream of the Japanese version featuring Relax Alex maybe more stuff come to light.

Whenever I feel sad that Smash 4 isn't out yet I sit back and load up Lucina reaction videos. Or any reaction videos, really.

I was checking the stages in the official site and don't you think that the game needs more FE stages? (1-2)
I would like to play battles in top of Grima or in the place where Emmeryn falls (cruelest stage hazard ever...)

I kid, I have nothing against the Dutch
Smash4 will be that game I hope to become pro at. I begun to late with Brawl and still became allright. When it comes out that will be the time I am getting more active again to help developing the metagame.

Me too. Smash is the first game I think I will try to be competitively viable in. Mostly because the 3DS. If the competitive scene only stays on the Wii U, then.. maybe not.

I'm more like that guy that goes to tourneys to hang around with my pals, sadly I think the scene will move toward the wiiU. I don't really have a problem with that cuze I play both versions anyway.

She's most likely an unlockable character. Especially if Marth is playable from the get-go. Unless all of the characters are playable from the start, but I don't that'll happen in this game.

The best thing about smash is that you can meet new people that you would probably never meet in any other way. In my case it gave me a few of my best friends. I like to help people step their game up. The more people you have in your scene the more people you get to know.

you have a car like that? jelly dude. when I'm in a car I'm the one driving most of the time. So even if I had a car like that I would not be able to play smash(Brawl in my case) Yes I'm one of those few people that prefers brawl over melee and PM :S

A few of them have mentioned considering the possibility of using her instead of Marth, but I don't believe any of them have actually decided anything conclusive yet.

It's gonna be all about how they play in the final build, you just can't decide on a main until you've played the characters.
Unless you're me and even if you screw yourself you are determined to main Lucina and Robin because those two characters are by far my favorite additions in any iteration of smash so far.

Marth player here. I'm actually with @RPGatWill in the fact that the gold build will be the deciding factor between the Hero King and the Ylissean Princess, especially considering E3 Smash 4 demo was a demo, subject to change, etc.
...That said, I will say that she'll at least be a better Roy. Which is fine by me, since while I haven't played Awakening....*pauses to hide under flame shield, pops back out slightly* I actually prefer her to Roy.

I think it depends on the players that will play her in the end. I mean Yoshi was nowhere to be seen in melee and nobody ever thought about that character being viable, until aMSa came.
same happened in the early years of brawl to Diddy kong and Olimar. They where nowhere to be seen until Ninjalink came to Diddy's aid and Olimar mains came over from Japan. They both are 2 of the best characters in brawl.
