then I fell of my chair and 10 minutes later my sister entered the room and asked what I was doing seeing me on the floor.

I should earn the price for craziest dude but I'm ok with it because Lucina is in smash
I would make such a good commentator for smashtourneys although I would probably scream for a whole set.

So Sakurai admitted that Lucina is pretty much identical to Marth... SMH... let me guess, Lucina originally started out as Marth's alternate gender costume like male Wii Fit Trainer and female Villager... and then Sakurai decided to make her a separate character by making Lucina one pixel shorter than Marth and balanced her sword.

I'm going to close this on the grounds that, since you more or less get a canon pronunciation of her name right in the trailer, you are kind of just going out of you way to pronounce it incorrectly.

Maybe Lewcheena will become the Booser of 2015 as a gag, we cannot say, but regardless the official material has spoken.

Regardless of what they say in Japanese, we don't call Robin "Reflet" or Jigglypuff "Purin".

It's difficult to really know. The reveals for this game have been a bit confusing. However, I am pretty much 100% sure that we have seen unlockable characters.

I'm pretty sure that Lucina will not be a starting character. Between the four, I see Marth having the opportunity of becoming a starter, as he is the 'main' FE represent (edit: He's on the cover? Well he IS a starter, then). Ike and Robin are kind of 50/50 in my mind. Although Ike's precedence as a starter in Brawl makes it seem logically that he'd be a starter once again. Regardless, I'd say that out of all of them, Lucina is the most obvious one to be unlockable.

Yeah, this sounds fine to me as well.

As I said in other thread, I never had hopes for Lucina or even Chrom being completely different characters from Princess Marth.

I think they're still working on Lucina's model. A lot of characters are expressive but Lucina seems to be a little stoic. Just a hunch though.

Well, she is pretty... It's a honest mistake to confuse Marth with Lucina or vice versa.

I don't know, it looks fine to me, she doesn't really need a full range of expressions considering all she'll be doing in this game is fighting, and we haven't seen things like her hit/stun animations, hew taunts, and the like.

I'm pretty sure Marth's designers are just milking his femininity at this point. It's possibly his most defining physical trait.

In the picture with Lucina and Palutena, it looks to me as though she's in the middle of blinking or changing her expression or something. Alternatively, considering she's on the ground, it may be her 'dazed' look - which would make sense given she definitely looks dazed in the photo. I don't think that's her standard facial expression at all and in every other photo, her face looks great.

On a more serious note, I'm worried she'll be too much of a clone. Like, at least Roy had different physics, so far the only difference seems to be she has Roy's sword now instead of Marth's. Is she faster? Does she jump higher? Stuff like that. I saw a post on Reddit earlier where apparently she has really fast ending lag, like L-Canceling levels of ending lag. So she might be closer to Melee Marth whereas this Marth is heavier.

So aside from the sword thing, Marth would be Melee's Roy and Lucina would be Melee's Marth.

So unhappy with this. Luclone is a full clone, not a semi-clone like the Brawl ones. She is a Lazy charecter from Melee, just a filler to complete the Roster.

Considering there likely isn't to be any L canceling, it's more that Lucina will be Brawl Marth, while Marth will be some sort of heavier incarnation and played out quite differently to the two last iterations.

There should be a few more differences between Lucina and Marth. If playing them both feels the same, then she'll just be considered a palette swap by most of SSB4's players.

Welp here's as good a place as any to that I'm taking a hiatus from this site.

All concerns surrounding Lucina's inclusion have been addressed and I don't really care about people salty about her inclusion, whatever their reasons may be.
